Anyways, coming from someone who have helped a nephew battled gambling addiction before I knew where it went completely wrong. He started stealing, because there is no way he could get money, so instead of giving up on gambling he choose to start stealing from home and it got worse when his father's account was almost drained.

All hell Brooke lose and he was taken to correctional centre, it worked for few months and later he continued again, it was his friends, they were all into gambling, I had to take some steps and we got rid of the friends by replacing his school, you have no idea how kids influence one another. If you brilliant child turned to someone who have lost focus on education, some bad friends are all around him, replace them and make sure they never see each other again, this was how we saved him, now when he is been told to do something he listens unlike the past, I had to explain to him why father hated gambling. This involved exposing some family secrets to scared him and it worked.

How can a 13 years old teenager who gamble get addicted to drugs? I dont think that 13 years old teenager is even able to gamble regularly, because he does not have endless money flow. The money he has wont be enough to become addicted. Addicted to drugs at the age of 13? Either that teenager lives in area where drugs are common (and his only way to change something is to move, what is almost impossible at such age) and its likely that his life will be connected with criminal, or who would sell him drugs at such age?

Teenage gambling is dangerous because it shapes their mindset toward quick money, exposes them to addiction, disrupts their focus and development, and shows why parents and communities must guide them early to prevent long-term harm. The habit of living with discipline is important for a family because the primary teacher of children is their parents. If young children are addicted to gambling it is very difficult to stop them from that addictive stage.

Early age exposure to gambling doesn't mean it's all bad, but it may affect their mindset and lifestyle.
In fact, being at that age, having no job, no income, and no money at all. It seems impossible for them to gamble unless they steal money from others. It seems understandable that they should not be allowed to gamble. Otherwise, we are forcing them to steal money or work underage just to fund their gambling habits, which are not supposed to happen with them.

They will lose attention and become addicted to it and eventually suffer the effects of it. Which in case of gambling is mostly limited to losing money and precious time which they should be using on studies and sports.

He can use the money that his parent are giving him. Another one is that he can steal his father or mother money. I have seen something like this before but not because of gambling but because the teenagers wanted to buy something. About gambling addiction, this is common among people that are above 18 years and not someone that has not gotten to such adulthood. Gambling addiction is mostly common among adults and not children.

It seems odd someone of that age would have a constant flux of money to place bets in different gambling games in a frequent basis.

For me, cases of that nature don't sound an extreme issue. Parents just need to cut the income they provide to their children, besides punishing them accordingly, while educating them regards gambling's consequences.

If the teenager still want to engage on disfunctional behavior after that, I guess he is by himself and will inevitably have to face the consequences of his decisions, without holding parents accountable in anyways.

I have been tempted to mention this issue in a different thread in this section asking about causes for underage gambling, because you're right that in order to gamble to the extent of becoming addict you need that constant flux of money you mentioned, and that's not typical in very young children who get a small pay to go out with their friends and buy sweets and snacks. I didn't mention because I thought this is relatively easy to control and because it is rare to find that an addiction can develop with a small payment.

At least 24 years of age should not be involved in gambling. Because in adolescence, they do not earn . They gamble with money from their families. Their ability to control their emotions is low. They cannot accept losing. They want to win more. As a result, an uncontrolled addiction can be observed in them from which it is very difficult to get out. This addiction of theirs not only ends their future but also the future of their family. If they grow a little older, that is, more than 24 and learn to earn their own income, then they understand their own income and responsibilities well, so even if they want, they will not spend all their money on gambling. I am lucky that my kids have not yet gotten into gambling, or they may have, but they are still innocent about it. I don't really know how long that innocence will be kept, but as much as possible, I am strict with them about how to spend and save money for their future.
If they want something, they'd better save money from their allowances, and I am so happy they are still doing it up until now. This means they are not wasting away money for other things. Mostly food in the school and then what's left will go directly to their piggy bank.

It's about discipline and how we shape our kids while they are growing and we cannot just do everything they want.

You made a very clear point here, that's the main reason why gambling is written 18+ because by then a teenager are well mature enough to bear the losses involved in gambling, because the five points you mentioned are exactly what many teenagers are surfering today.

Honestly I don't know why this generation can't wait to get to the requirement age before starting gambling, gambling is not going any time soon but still they wouldn't hear.

As adults like to gamble, teenagers also like to gamble. In the past and now, if you can get close to one of the teenagers and asked him if people are gambling in his school, do not be surprised if he said yes. And I will say that children these days have more exposure because of the technology they have access to. It is up to parents to teach and direct their children so that they don't fall into gambling at a young age.

Gambling is so effective to extend of one living the lifestyle I remember as a young child I started Gambling at early 13th where I could do anything to keep meeting my desires for Gambling, my parents do all them can to stop me from going to play game of money but they couldn't stop me because i was addicted to it already and is so weird this days seeing little children engaging in Gambling like sporting belt, WHOT, dice and lotto. The OP did a great job by introducing this thread because is going to be beneficial to anyone that is willing to introduce their teenage children into gambling. Apart from what you have mentioned, I will like to top it up somethings.

1. If a teenager gamble excessively It can causes academic underperformance leading to poor grades and lost of interest in education.
2. Absenteeism from school, and exposure to extracurricular activities, all in the name of finding money to gamble.
3. Social isolation or inability to associate with children of his or her age due to the fake mentality of feeling superior.
4. Financial problems: Involvement in illegal activities like theft, or experiencing the burden of debts which can also lead to mental health disorder affecting their mental health and emotional stability.

You are right! if at a young age someone starts gambling without any guide they become addicted to it, parents should be very watchful, and pay attention to their children especially at the teenage age because that is the most critical stage where teenagers feels they are an adult, and can experiment anything disregarding the harmful impact, as to them it feels like fun and growth.

This topic have been treated many times, even this morning I also commented on a similar thread that talks about preventing minors from gambling. Parents have a lot of role to play in regards to prevent their kids from participating in gambling without any proper guidance.  Parents overlook their kids and then start seeking for solution when the child have already become enveloped by the habits that they started without the consent of their parents. If a parents is very friendly and open to their kids, the child won't have problem to seek your opinion or approval of what they want to do but where the parents don't build such relationship with the children, I makes them act on their own.

When I see people tell tales about their involvement in gambling at early age of life, I begin to wonder if those terms and conditions of casinos and bookies are just for show and not really being implemented.  Because in all ToS you’d see them claiming that no underaged gambling is allowed and yet people who are not up the the required age are gambling freely without anything being done about it and so many young people’s life are being ruined daily because of the early involvement in gambling when they are yet to know anything about how to play it safe in gambling.

There are a lot of gambling addicts who got addicted to gambling because they got into it at an early age and because of that they didn’t know how to handle it and made some silly mistakes which led to them becoming addicted to gambling.

If you have any suggestions to stop them or even if you accept that what you did was a mistake or else there is no point in correcting someone when you couldn't.

If at the age of 13 years you have started gambling then I can say that your guidance did not really do what they were supposed to do while you were growing up as a child. I believe it was as a result of influence on you that made you  to start gambling.  I presume at your age of 13 there weren't online gambling casinos but land casinos and I also believe that if you go to the land casino you will be kicked out of it because you are still below the age of gambling so I will presume you started gambling amongst your peers and groups and this was likely the genesis of your gambling lifestyle which grew up with you till you were old enough to play at the bet house.

This shows that teens can gamble amongst themselves, maybe they could save from their feeding money, gift or something tangible which they could lay their hand's on to play or bet amongst themselves. This is why parents are advised to watch the company their children keep because there is a parable that says " show me your friends and I will tell you who you are". Parents should endeavour to constantly engage with their children to to know what they are up to. At least having clues about their friends would also save them the stress of unexpected behaviours from their children.
