I'm just going to keep this short and simple so I don't bore anyone with too many write ups. In September 12th 2025 an AI named diella was appointed as minister in Albania to tackle th issue of corruption and oversea the affairs of the country. Every country has the right to do whatever they want for their country to grow but this seems like an awkward thing to do. Do you think it's right for the responsibilities of a nation to carried by an AI? Humans are beginning to place so much reliance on AI and we are slowly losing our value. What are your thoughts on this?

this ai named diella seems like a character or more of a mascot to me

ai can't make a decision on their own, it does not have autonomy it does not have consciousness therefore they can't make any decision without the ones in power feeding them a prompt

My take is that the main work to reduce corruption cannot be performed by a bot. These AI tools are built by humans, which means they can also be manipulated. They can help to detect errors in documents and promote accountability. However, the fight against corruption can only be done by humans. The tools might not be known when corrupt politicians build substandard amenities.

Anyway, it's not a bad idea if Diella could do it's part in reducing corruption in Albania.

AI can certainly be advisors. But the AI programmers are the ones who run the AI... one way or another. If AI is given the authority, and if it fails to help the people, execution for the makers and programmers of the AI.

Cool
The Ai minister is just an extension of the overall leader of that country, maybe they don’t want to be the minister directly as it may be against the low then they created an AI, gave it a name and programmed it on what to do.
Then the government claims the Ai will be making unbiased decisions in awarding contracts but those decisions will be made based off what has been programmed into the AI machine.

At first glance it could sound as a good idea to give some alleged position of power to an entity which is very difficult to corrupt, as an artificial intelligence. That is assuming the AI will actually have agency over its own thoughts and act for the sake of the well being of the country.

But there is certainly some danger on giving power to a machine which is obviously more intelligent, faster and more calculating than humen beings, people within the government of Albania should be very careful on what they do with their administration and first give some moral trial on whether that artificial intelligence is suitable for governance.

I do not like how we seem to be relying more and more on this new technology, without placing clear rules on what we are and are not supposed to do with it.

Honestly I will say that this Diella's issue is two sided, one is a good thing that they are fighting corruption with AI and again it's somehow a risk too because we humans rely on AI too much that it has reduced our value. Okay what if the person that has programmed it has bad intentions definitely we all know how it will respond and we can't put blames if it's make the wrong decision because AI you know don't have Human understanding and feelings.

Remember I said it's two sided and this is the good side of it, AI you see can't or does not take bribe to favour anyone and it's clean and transparent.
This isn't a bad idea but it will take a lot of risk, although it's not as if AI can't help but It can't carry the full responsibility of a nation rather human should just be in charge to correct it and also guide it.
