It was before I slept I posted about female students that were kidnapped in a school in Kebbi around 4 AM yesterday, but I am reading another one when I woke up about a priest that was kidnapped early this morning in Kaduna. One killed, many missing as gunmen kidnap Catholic priest in Kaduna communityI do not know how true the news is but I am seeing it on some other news. According to the statement, several other residents were also abducted during the attack, while Mr. Gideon Markus, the brother of another priest, Rev. Fr. Anthony Yero, was killed.

This continuous killings and kidnaping are unacceptable, does it mean that our government doesn't have what it takes to handle this evil continuous happenings in this country. These regular bad news have become a normal thing that people will hear and say 'oh terrorists and bandits have done it again ' and we just move on with our lives.
Our Nigerian government should swallow it's pride and accept help from advanced countries like the US that has the capacity to bring these evil in our country to an end. I don't care if they take some of our natural resources as people are alleging, is it not better that they take our resource than hearing how our fellow Nigerians are being massacred with boldness by terrorists. Things cannot continue like this because if we keep quiet we and our family members can become the next victims in the near future.

In Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State, Nigeria, a man was kidnapped and the abductors initially demanded a ransom of ₦150 million. A few months later, they called again and reduced the ransom to ₦10 million. Negotiations continued until the kidnappers finally settled at ₦5.5 million. The family appealed to the public for support, and the Local Government Chairman contributed ₦1.5 million to complete the amount.
During this period, soldiers had already been deployed to the area. On the day the ransom was to be delivered, the family members and the chairman took the money to the kidnappers’ designated location. The bandits instructed them to also bring three power banks fully charged, chewing gum, TomTom, and marijuana.
According to the family representatives who went to drop the money, when they arrived at the vicinity, soldiers were present. The soldiers asked the rest of the group to wait while two people carrying the money, escorted by the soldiers, proceeded to the drop off point.
When the team reached the location, the soldiers told everyone to leave the area. The following day, the victim was released.
The way the whole scenario played out made it seem as if the soldiers and the bandits were aware of each other’s presence and avoided crossing paths. From what I can observe, it appears the government may be aware of the bandit activities, and the issue is neither one sided nor religious, because several of those kidnapped or killed were Muslims.
In my view, the whole situation seems to have political undertones.

The Nigerian government that I know will not accept such kind of help especially from a country like America for instance, such kind of help comes with some level of interest, and this present administration is already suspecting the fact that the Trump administration might topple their government, so they are skeptical in asking for such assistance. This killings is very much deeper than we see it on the surface level, there is politics in it, there is religious genocidal aspect of it too, all of this needs to be rectified, before we can begin to talk of peace and the Nigerian government is coppable in all of these.

You were writing episodes by episodes some weeks ago to justify why Trump must not send the US army to fight the terrorist killing innocent citizens and burning churches - yesterday and today, you've written over 3 disturbing killing incidents topics already. The evil we support today, we consume us tomorrow that's how life works. The lady that tweeted "No christian genocide" 3 says ago was shot dead by the same terrorists yesterday barely 48 hrs after she debunked the Christians genocide. The Muslim -Muslim tickets was where we all got it wrong, it has never happened before - what we're experiencing is not far from Jihad. But the problem is that the terrorists in Nigeria are killing people but the terrorists in Sudan are reported to be advancing as they take over a region (maybe a town) recently.
Is Trump not seeing this? Why Nigeria. Even if he wants to provide support, United States should work with Nigeria government and not make a threat just because the Nigerian government make Nigeria to be one of the BRICS partners (not a BRICS member) and also because our government do not allow Venezuela deportes from United States as Trump wanted.
We know all these tactics.
How has United States force intervention in Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria played out? All not good at all.

The truth of the matter is that Nigerian government is also funding those terrorists, I think one of the reasons why they don't want to be serious to fight against terrorists in Nigeria is because of their personal interests. Well, for those of us in the South-South we are not yet to be affected for now that's why it looks like nothing is happening yet, but trust me, if South-South is being affected like the way people in the Northern part of Nigeria are, the cry will be worse than how it is right now.

The President of Nigeria Asiwaju Tinubu has failed all of us as a leader, how would you correlate the fact that the country is on fire the Christians are being massacre by terrorists and all the president is concerned about is traveling to South Africa for a submit. Who goes to bed when his house is on fire?, it's saddens my heart to see such barbaric scene and nothing has been said about it. A priest was kidnapped, some military officers and General Uba was grousomely murdered in cold blood, two days ago bandits invaded a church in Kwarra killed Christians that was worshipping in the church and some were kidnapped, imagine a country that is a sovereign nation, yet the president feel less concern about the loss of life and property, this is not the country we prayed for, Christians are being persecuted on daily basis. With all the recent happenings I believe this bandits have top politicians that is sponsoring them, tell me how on earth do they have such a sophisticated weapons they are using, Trump needs to come to our aids at this point, Nigeria weeps.

My dear, you only fight what you don't like or what you do not support. From the onset, following the reactions of the federal government to these killings, it is clear that they are not against it, in other words, they are aware of it and have no problems with it. Maybe m, they are the ones perpetuating these evils, because a leader wouldn't sit and watch his citizens perish for no just corse and keeps folding his hands without taking drastic measures to combat the evil. For me, if nemesis exist, let it begin work immediate. You were writing episodes by episodes some weeks ago to justify why Trump must not send the US army to fight the terrorist killing innocent citizens and burning churches - yesterday and today, you've written over 3 disturbing killing incidents topics already. Our state in this country has gone beyond be careful. For me, I have just told myself, I will live the best I can live my life now, death is what every man will face someday. We need a Messiah, or else, we will be more doomed.

I understood your points which is a very valid point those it can never be possible to fight against what you support secretly, the country is doom the people that are meant to protect their citizens are the ones killing them, it is in our country you will see where politicians are negotiating with terrorist for settlement how then do you think terrorism will be put to end, the politicians uses the terrorist for illegal businesses that fetches them lots of money and they can kill anyone that stand on their ways of achieving their plans, I feel the pains for those that are being butchered seeing this videos online makes me cry, if the American government can be of help we don't have to keep them out of this.

All this continue killings and kidnappings that are happening is a enough reason to conclude that our so call president is not capable, this shows his incapability to manage the country and he should step down for a more competent person that can do what is right. Nigeria has been a land that one can not sleep with two eyes closed, it is right time the foreign body comes in for our intervention because it is obviously out of hands.

There was one novel which was in our secondary school literature syllabus called "One Week One Trouble". It was a story about a very troublesome boy who was always bringing bad news to his parents. In the case of Nigeria, it is "One Day One Trouble". We have talked so much about government failure and it seems they don't care about the lives of Nigerians. The best option now, if you are staying around the Northern region or any other crisis-prone areas, is to emigrate to safer states. If you have enough funds, just leave the country. If it is their government, there is no light at the end of the tunnel.

It's indeed a week of trouble. Or we're going to write "One Month of Trouble" cause it has been one week since this trouble has befallen us, and we're still experiencing it. The abduction of a Catholic priest is another step higher in the level of atrocities going on in this country. Although some people are spreading rumours that the priest is dead. This information has been refuted by another Priest who is probably a leader in the priesthood, saying that the abducted priest is alive and urged that members of the church should continue with their prayers for him in solidarity. It's just devastating, the situation of the country, who knows the next person on their mind to be kidnapped.

I would say the northern governors are weak or they are compromising with the security of their people. There are people who knows where this kidnappers stay, if only the state government can mobilize enough security into those areas where they stay, I believe they will fish them out . As much as I know, there is no individual or group of people that is greater than government, government owns all the trained security agencies and can equipped them with any kind of weapon to combat insecurity or insurgency.
To me, I feel their is no insecurity challenge or insurgency that state government or federal government can not surmount, unless it is politically motivated or even the same government has hand in it. There is no weapon that government cannot purchase, and no kind of connection that government cannot make, so tell me, why would an individual or group of people defeat government? Such a thing is not possible.
We the masses voted these leaders to rule and care for us , so they should do everything humanly possible to protected the lives of the people. The power is nothing when the peace and the security of the Nigerian citizens are not guaranteed. The lives of the citizens should be the leaders ought most interest. They should exercise selfless leadership and think on how to make the Nigerian states safe for the citizens of the country.

I would say the northern governors are weak or they are compromising with the security of their people. The insecurity in this country is really getting out of hand and I am so disappointed in our leaders. Yes there are cases where government secretly sponsor the kind of attacks and it could be true that the government secretly has a hand on all that is happening in the country but we can't say for sure. If they have a hand in it I am really disappointed in them and if they don't and they are incapable of resolving this attacks by now then I am disappointed as well. At some point if you look at the way the government react to these cases you can't help but think that they have a hand in the attacks because their approach to fight it is very poor. We are battling with kidnapping that is very common in the country now and then there is bandits all over the country abducting children and killing people. I know Nigerians are people who enjoy making fun of almost everything online and even though they are making jokes of people taking security into their own hands by getting weapons to fight back. Sadly I think that's the only way we can actually safeguard ourselves since the government is not reliable. I just hope things get better before it leads to fighting them off by ourselves.

From what I can observe, it appears the government may be aware of the bandit activities, and the issue is neither one sided nor religious, because several of those kidnapped or killed were Muslims.
In my view, the whole situation seems to have political undertones.
It’s not “may”, they are aware of everything, they know what will happen next because they are the one funding it , if not why would they be defending it in the House and even sending a delegate outside of the country to defend same nonsense.. They now take us as puppets because everyone is to afraid to take action and if you do, they will still give you some severe punishment just to instigate fear into others that might try to do same. It’s getting worse and not better yet ,[let’s go off a bit] some think we don’t need interference from external bodies because Nigeria is a sovereign state… TH will that BS so far it can’t defend it self from terorrist and still supporting, negotiating and nurturing it..nothing is going to change without any action, it can’t defend itself so far we have the same sets of leaders still governing us, it will only get worse and we are already in the worse state, what next?

Those are the kind of news we nigerians hear everyday, killing has become a traditional action in a land blessed by god with mineral resources meant to enrich all citizens of Nigeria instead citizens are consumed by the corruption of our corrupt leadership system whose aim is just the do everything humanly possible to put themselves above all. Each time I see such news I keep asking myself when will nigerians wake up and face reality instead of chasing shadows we can't catch. Until we stand to see corruption as corruption and stop channeling all our attentions on politics, Nigeria will never gain freedom

You will be scared to talk until you're killed and you remain silent forever. It's better to come out and talk and die than to die without talking. That's a coward attitude. This is what's happening in Nigeria. How long will we keep our mouth silent and watch these evil doers send bandits to kill and make everywhere uncomfortable to live. Nigeria needs to wake up and fight in one voice.

How dis kidnappers will just have mind to kidnap the priest and will no be afraid of God or what their life will turn into and thinking it the right thing they are doing, the Nigeria government will act as if the money is kind of big and cannot rescue the priest and paid the kidnappers, but government will not take action over it, the killing and kidnapping is getting at hand in Nigeria and the interesting part it the wealthy people there are even kidnapping, and even though dey know dey will pay dis money dey will still maltreat and suffer their life to the bastard level or kill them.

Sometimes i even wonder what this blood thirsty terrorist even want, How can a group just be killing people uncontrollably without a reason, worst of it all is killing of innocent people. Nigeria is really unsafe currently, the monsters some politicians created to aide them win elections has now turned around to hunt innocent lives.
The Nigerian government has really failed, ever since this current Tinubu administration assumed office it has been on killing or the other, this was same thing that Buhari used as a campaign strategy back then to defeat Goodluck Jonathan, APC over flogged the insecurity issue and made it look like Goodluck Jonathan was incompetent and that once they assume office they will flush the insecurity out, this is two administrations after Goodluck Jonathan and instead of the insecurity to minimize it is actually getting worse, i really fear for the future of this country.
I encourage those staying in those high insecurity areas like the North and some part of the middle belt to be very vigilant, also apply self defense were necessary and probably change location if they have the means, because with the way it is going i don’t see the government taking any decisive decision to cub the menace anytime soon, their interest is just how to win the 2027 elections and is were they are channeling all their energy.
