Why do people still believe, support and promote the activities of failed leadership, government and corrupt politicians? I noticed that in Nigeria no matter how bad your regime maybe, people still prefer you, fight for you and promote the concept of your ruling, some even Mr A is the best President but is difficult for this same leadership to fulfill their promises during campaign to protect lives and properties, to improve standard of living

Nigeria leaders have really failed in their responsibilities, they are always chasing the wind and never give attention to resolving critical issues that are affecting the country. It is the responsibility of Nigeria leaders to fix the country when things are not really going well, they make selfish policies and refuses to render selfless services to our country Nigeria. All you see and hear them talking is about budgeting and allocation of funds, how to borrow money and pile up dept for the country and use the borrowed money for their own personal use and leaving the country in a mess.

The security of the country is a major concern and should be giving proper attention. While making their budget, the security sector should be giving attention without compromise because any country that fail in security has failed indeed .

It's a shame that we have criminals as leaders, ever sector of the government is so corrupt and Nigeria is currently operating on one arm of government which is the executives, the current administration is the worst in the history of this country they maneuvered their way into power with the help of the military which is also corrupt and have also crumbled the judiciary cause they're under their control, no wonder they do whatever they like and won't give account of it. Nigeria needs a revolution cause this administration must be kicked out for things to get better, this isn't democracy.
Well I'm proud to be a Nigerian but I'll never be proud of our government cause they've failed this nation. Yesterday was a very painful one, terrorists attacked a church, killed and kidnapped some members, yet the power driven politicians could only think of their ambition in the 2027 election, security personnels who are supposed to protect citizens are assigned to escort the so called politicians, our country is fucked.

Honestly is disheartened that people we are looking up to are the criminals ruling us, no human sympathy, no sense of leadership. Only what they know is the action of financial criminality and corrupt, look at what is going on in the north tag as genocide yet most of this leaders in other part of the country are involved in sponsorship of those bandits and boko haram. I pray one day God will release His angels and their regime of wickedness.

The leadership mindset that have enslaved the development of the nation is the one that people no longer find any fault with which is selfish leadership. The majority as long as they benefit one thing or another or thinks they are doing well financially, they are fine with that government just like the selfish politicians who think low of the greater majority and that's why during campaign they offer things they think this poor minded and poor pocket majority would love not minding the near and long future.

The wicked philosophy is "tell them what they'll love to hear and give peanuts" this has worked for them for years now. But awakening is taking place like never before whereby the people are becoming and will become ready for credible leaders and leadership in all nooks and crannies of the nation.

Our so called leaders are the problem we are having, during election people we come out and vote but the vote doesn't count because they know who to put in, without letting the people choose, just like the past presidential election I was opportune to be one of the inec representative, alot happen that day majority of the people voted for Peter obi but at last they announced Tinubu as the winner, before that day they already knew who will go, for me even if people come out to vote or not they already have someone, all this suffering doesn't concern them because they're not witnessing it, money they're suppose to use to promote the economy system of this country they will share it among themselves making us suffer the more, no job, no sound education, the only hope we have now is God, because our leaders doesn't feel for us.

Some people still follow and support leaders who even failed in their leadership due to some reasons that goes beyond the leaders performance in politics. Some still pledge loyalty to leaders even though they've failed in leadership because of favor(benefits) In one way or the other.

Also fear, this is one of the reasons why you see individuals, communities and towns still pledge loyalty to that leader even if he failed them, "what if I speak up and do something publicly against this party" such ideas are inside an individual to exhibit but because of fear they support the leader publicly but not in private because they don't want to lose their jobs, having the feeling that they aren't safe anymore (violence) and opportunities will be denied from them. All these are some reasons why you see people people still follow and support leaders even if they've failed.

For Naija, plenty people still dey support these failed leaders, mostly because politics for here dey based on emotion. Some people go support government even when e dey perform badly, just because of tribe, party wahala, or small personal gain. Some people don just dey used to low standard, so dem go anyhow support all these underperforming leaders, even when basic things like security, better living conditions, and real development no dey.

This same kind bad leadership go still dey repeat if citizens no begin dey choose and support leaders based on wetin dem really dey deliver, instead of just following tribe, party, or emotion. If we no change, nothing go change.

Sometimes I feel the citizens are even the issue they are facing in the hands of our leaders and government. Most of the citizens don't vote a leader because they believe they can change the situation or even make it better, but they vote for them because they are from the same tribe or they get paid for voting.
That why I keep telling people that it will be very difficult for Nigeria to get better, because the citizens are not ready to take a stand to make it better and our leaders are doing a great job by dividing the citizens with religion and tribalism, they also keep the citizens in abject poverty,  so they can easily manipulate them during elections.

I agree with you mate. The citizens are the cause of their problems and sufferings especially in a failed Government or administration. The people of Nigeria, especially politicians and their supporters, approach politics is the reason why we experience bad leadership or bad governance. When people fail to elect or appoint credible individuals into offices of power, this is what befalls them.

I don't see a Nigerian political system void of the sentiment of religious bigotry, tribalism and Nepotism. Therefore, supporters will remain blinded by these forms of sentiment in the selection process of electioneering process. In fact, people let these sentiments becloud their natural sense of judgement. They become ardent supporters of a political ideology called the political party and what it stands for, they believe in their party's interest and whatever comes with it. They don't see the individuals their so-called parties are projecting, nor do they see their inadequacies. When decisions are taking on the premise of the aforementioned attributes what then becomes the fate of the citizenry?

The are 3 key reasons why people still believe, support and promote bad governance.
The first is high level of tribalism, Nigeria has diverse ethnicity and lots of her citizens are blinded by love for tribe up to a point that it influences their decisions, a typical Nigeria man will prefer a less competent person to hold a particular position instead of a competent person just because the person is his/her tribesman, the love for tribe will entirely blind his/her judgement.

Second is religion, Nigerians prefers voting for someone from a particular religion without checking the persons track record, they place more importance on his religion and forget the fact good governance has nothing to do with religion.

Thirdly is poverty, hunger has ravaged the country to the extent that people can afford to vote someone that is incompetent for just #2000 or few cups of rice, the gap between the rich and poor is so much that you hardly find someone that wants to stand on his integrity.

This 3 key reasons has birthed a failed system overtime, now there is so much of bias, political affiliations and sentiments in the system and most people don’t care about good governance, they will continue singing the praises of politicians just to satisfy their immediate desires, Nigerians ain’t futuristic in nature and most times they easily bend and adapt to any situation, we are our own problem.

Nigeria is on a mess, and our leader has failed us. people are going through a lot in the country, not everyone can even afford some basic things because of high cost, there is hungry and suffering.
Yet when it's time for campaign they bribe their way to the site because they are more concerned about power than humans life, we pray for God's intervention because it is only God that can save this country, let us all be guided.
