Failed Leaders and government

Honestly, am ashamed of Nigeria and the reason why people still in support of failed leaders is because they vote for the sake of their stomach, religion, loyalty and tribe, and not even by the performance of those leaders.
People are just looking for where they will see small money and also the protection of their own person, while others don't even know how the government are supposed to do or work.

You see politicians have those that benefits more from them and those set of people will always stand by them even if it's not what they're ought to do, not until we're ready to think and know what is best for the future of Nigeria, bad leaders or failed leaders will always have more people backing them.

My brother blaming them for been supportive to the wicked and corrupt political representatives is not the solution but the solution here should be how to put an end to such bad practices as blames can never bring profitable solutions to our problems. In Nigeria now all the sectors are corrupt and to put an end to it change must come from all direction which means it will start from the areas of the poor masses because we are also the tools used by the same leaders to punish ourselves again and not the leaders.  If only we there tools can say no there evil manipulations and stand on the truth never to betray ourselves for the little peanut they offered to us.

 it is as result of tribalism. Nigeria is a country with different ethnic groups and religion. So people of the  same tribe will always support the government as long as the leaders is from there tribe regardless of whether the leader is doing well or not. Some people will also support a government that a benefit from even when they know that the government isn't doing well. Like in Nigeria you will majority of yorubas supporting Tinubu because he is from there tribe. The problem we are having in Nigeria is tribalism and and over religiosity.

Bad people always have more supporters, it still surprises me to see that at this moment at this hardship, this high price of things in the country people are still champaing for Tinubu to go for 8 years. A bad ruler can remain in power for years even if the people do not want him. The support of the bureaucrats is most important to control the governance of a state. If a person is a wise ruler, then he will regularly give incentives to those in important positions in the state to work for him. Those people will not do any negative actions regarding the change of government but will continue to try to get that ruler back to power. Tinubu has a strong support group as well as being liked by many rulers outside Nigeria as well as internationally. His diplomatic foresight has kept him in office and despite his failure to reduce the country's inflation rate and many failures in his governance, he is still a legitimate president.

Issues like this are why Nigeria our country is in shambles and there are several reasons why it occurs. Political support is being given to politicians in power by citizens based on ethnic identity and tribalism.how can the country move forward when citizens give merit and support to the so-called politicians in power just because he or she is from their tribe irrespective of their poor performance and failed promise. We are our own problem in this country and it so sad that greed and personal benefit has clouded the judgement of many citizens of Nigeria and does not allow critical thinking,everyone just want to survive disregarding long-term governance concerns. This will always be a major problem in Nigeria unless it is tackled with prompt action and urgency.

Why do people still believe, support and promote the activities of failed leadership, government and corrupt politicians? I noticed that in Nigeria no matter how bad your regime maybe, people still prefer you, fight for you and promote the concept of your ruling, some even Mr A is the best President but is difficult for this same leadership to fulfill their promises during campaign to protect lives and properties, to improve standard of living

Omo most people wey Dey support failed politicians for dis country na just people wey Dey benefit from them, Dey are doing that just for there own selfish interest, as long as Dem dey benefit, dem no really care about other people, dem no care if d country Dey cry.

For dis country now most people just Dey fight for there pocket, nobody care about d situation of d country, na y no matter how bad wey complain about one politician, u go see say him go still get supporters, and if time for election reach, dem go still vote for am.

Over the years I have sat down to study the patterns of Nigeria politicians and their followers and I found out that no politician has the best interest of the masses at heart, they might sugar coat it via making campaign promises and speeches but once they get into power they forget every promises they have made to the people and their constituency. Look at the insecurity in Nigeria today that we now move in fear of the unknown, terrorist are everywhere killing people and kidnapping citizens demanding for ransoms and the seating president instead of eradicating them he pays the ransom for them to release the victims. What a shame.

Look at a case study of prof. Woke Soyinka, while Ex President Good luck Ebelle Jonathan was the president of Nigeria and fuel was sold at the rate of 65naira per liter he spare headed a protest against Jonathan but today we buy fuel at 1,500 naira per liter and he hasn't spoken a word about it nor lead a protest, that's to tell you that people don't criticize where they are benefiting from nor matter the hardship melted on the citizens.

They used poverty to suppress people's ability to protest against them that's why many are supporting them since they can't beat them. Else tell me why people in their right senses would vote for Tinubu after seeing how he got into power and how his administration has crumble our economy from bad to worst.
 
 APC politicians have put fear in the mind of those who would oppose them and it's gotten so bad that the opposition are rapidly joining them, it would make you wonder if Nigerian government would ever be free from corruption. I've heard many people that said they won't come out to vote on the next election, I asked some why and they said they're scared of dying cause it would be bloody for those who want to oppose or remove APC from government.

You alleged that in this case, media houses may have taken bribe, may be that's what they have refused to say anything or criticize which we know that they are good at, your assumptions may not be right because we know the government of the day as people that knows how to intimidate anyone that says anything against them, don't you think some of those media houses might be saving their heads after all we know that we not practicing Democracy here, they can be sanctioned and nothing will happen, I'm nothing disputing your assumptions off totally because you might also be right after all we are Nigerians, we understand the how things are been done here, media houses are not out the sharp and corrupt practices here in our country, opposition party would've been the best to bash this government but because we have people with the agenda of Just taking power not speaking for the people in the other side, they can't speak with loud voice to condemn the bad rulership.

You said it all. Only those benefitting in one way or another would support bad leadership. It's just the way it is around the world.
What should matter should be how much the policies these leasers make affect you as a citizen.
The best surviving citizens fund a way to make things work for themselves and their business instead of always complaining about the leaders and this should be the best recourse for all of us here.

In Nigeria we've been successfully divided by our religion and ethnicity and these narratives are pushed by our governments to further dig deeply into our ethnic diversity and cause more disunity between us. They are using it as their strategy to divide and rule us in the country so we do not have the unifying voice to fight for our rights and freedom. They know that the more disunity they bring amongst people, the easier it is to destroy them and this is why they've been very deliberate about it. the only way we can break this jinx is when as a people we decide to realize we are being played and taken for granted and collective fight this narratives of our minds then chart a harmonious cause towards a better country and living standard.
