If you bet a $1 and you win $100 but you lose it all again the next round you bet, is it really your money that you lost even though you just won that $100? More like you lost the potential of having that amount of money which is why it hurts but if we are being honest it should be easy to move on because that money did not exactly come from your own wallet. Do you find yourself harder to move on if you lose money from a huge win even if you just bet only a small amount?
If you lost the money you won, it is your money you lost because you already won the money. You had the option of withdrawing the money and it will be credited into your account but you chose to use it to bet and you lost it. This type of argument have came up before even between me and my friends and some will argue that what you have only lost is your $1 deposit which is wrong. Any money you have won is your money and when you lose it, you have lost money you could have withdrawn for other use.

Sometimes I've been in a situation where I had a large sum of money in my account after a win, but I decided to keep playing and lost it all. I remember standing there with a goofy grin, unable to believe it had just rushed past me. Well, this is a common occurrence in gambling. There are countless stories of guys who spent hours playing slots and multiplied their initial investment hundreds of times, only to find themselves with nothing a few minutes later. Is there really a better test of greed than this? It's not for nothing that there's so much talk about self-control.

We'll feel this way when we've been caught off guard and it doesn't happen just once, perhaps several times at the same point, but strangely, it keeps repeating itself for some reason. However, what you said above is true, and it's very rational, a fact, a reality. But the question is whether this is born out of nowhere, or driven by the sensation of excessive victory, or by feigning ignorance of the impact and consequences that follow.

Is there a better test of greed than this? The answer is a psychological when we play. But the funniest test of greed is when we overestimate our expectations that if we enter, we'll win easily. When we follow through, the opposite happens, and all chances of winning are minimal, and our assets decline, even returning to zero.

If it's belong to you, then it's your money.

You can consider it's not your money if it's an unrealized profit or unrealized loss, because it's still unrealized and as long as you didn't sell it, you didn't lose/earn anything.

I don't understand why you can think like that if the money you earn from your money might not be your money. If every earn from someone else aren't our money, all of our money can be said aren't our money.

Once the bet is finished and the outcome consummate, the money belongs to him. I guess it has more to do with people considering that to lose money which has come easy, doesn't mean a serious issue.

As long as it's an amount of money you earned from your bet it's right to say that it's your money that you lost. We must agree that winning gambling is very difficult and if you can manage to make such a huge amount of profit of just a dollar stake then losing all of it counts as a significant loss because if you are a smart gambler you would know that you are supposed to utilise that amount that you have gotten. Turning one dollars to hundred dollars is a rare luck that not many people are going to ever have in gambling. Always take advantage of the profits you have

I've been through this several times and understand what you're talking about. But I also understood why I did it: I wanted more and more, and it's important to know when to stop. But even after thinking about it several times, I can't figure out exactly where I should have stopped, because no one ever understands when luck will stop coming. So I figured out that I should stop when I think I've won enough, although this is different for every player. Now I don't want to win a lot; I just want to win and withdraw some to spend on leisure, and that's all I need.

You are a complete genius then. Anybody who has BTC on a CEX, any platform, any regulated investment vehicle such as an ETF does not have any money.  Roll Eyes Excellent mental gymnastics, worse than a heroin addict. Don't bring the not your keys not your Bitcoin stuff into this argument, you and 99% of the shitposters of this forum don't practice it and its not relevant to this topic. FYI, money in a bank account is also not yours it is an IOU but a retard such as yourself wouldn't know that.  Roll Eyes

Not your keys, not your coins, right?
No, that has nothing to do with this. Stop justifying delusional gambling behavior.

You can consider it's not your money if it's an unrealized profit or unrealized loss, because it's still unrealized and as long as you didn't sell it, you didn't lose/earn anything.
True, but that has nothing to do with this case here. Anyway, unrealized profit can also be misused to justify bad decision making. Just because you didn't realize it that doesn't mean that you couldn't have or shouldn't have. These things have good usage in finances and accounting, but for a personal level they are most often misused in bad rationalizations.

Yes, but let me put it this way: there’s a huge difference between losing a direct $100 from your own pocket and this situation. When you turn $1 into $100, you keep playing with the comfort of thinking it’s house money, money you won from gambling...
And then ofc you lose it. That still means you are inside the game.
In my opinion, unless you physically take that $100 in your hand or transfer it to your bank account, that money is still in the casino’s vault.

To me, if you look at it very realistically, it seems like if you cash out the money, it's yours if you don't, it's the casino's this idea is not entirely correct. Because you won the money it means it's yours. Now whether it stays in the balance or comes into your hands, the responsibility ultimately comes down to your decision. In my opinion, the importance is a little more understood when you take the money in your hand, that's true but the bottom line is that if the player himself can't decide when to stop, no matter where the money is, the end result is the same.

It's hard to move on if I've already won that money and yet, I've lost it on an instant. That money even if it's just a dollar and I've won $100 from it, that's already my money. I'll call it mine and if I lose it, I'll call it still that loss as mine. While the justification of others is that it's only reflecting on your account and you're not holding it tangibly. It's the same with the bank accounts, you don't hold them but it's in the bank right? you don't hold them as well tangibly but even with that, it's yours and you have the right to call it yours even if others say that it belongs to the bank. You just entrusted it with the bank and the same goes with the casinos where we gamble at.

Of course it was my money. If I had controlled myself and stopped betting, then of course I could have withdrawn that money and brought it to my wallet. Although this completely depends on the situation. Another thing is that since I won, no matter where that money is. Be it in the casino or in my wallet, it is definitely my money.

In my case, I have never won such a big bet. So I could not share a good experience.

In fact, when a person wins up to $100 with one dollar, the $100 won is also his because he won it with his one dollar. But the fools bet the whole amount again and lose it all. The smart ones will never bet the whole amount again. They will withdraw some amount from here and keep some amount of money in the casino site because they will play casino again. The money that he has withdrawn is his real benefit because if someone puts money on the gambling side, he will definitely bet with that and there is no guarantee whether he will win or lose that bet.

Yes, it is your money. Let's reason it in another way, like you invested $100 in Bitcoin, and the market boomed to give you a profit of $200. From that $200 you invested it in altcoin, the market crashed. Won't you feel pained that you lost $200 in altcoin? You will. That's how it is that you won $100 in gambling to later lose it. You will first of all take it that you lose your money because you have every right to do whatever you like with it, but you choose to gamble with it.

If you use $1 and win $100 and later loss all $100 to the casino it's your money that is gone. The money is yours the moment you win it you may decide not to gamble with all, winning in gambling is like a reward for hard work you think it's easy to win? People would have been winning all time, when you loss your salary in gambling why didn't you say after all it's the company money. Gambling is like a business your profit is your money if you loss it in any way its your money you lost so also as your winning in gambling is your profit if you later loss it in gambling bro it's your money that went off.

If you already won $100 bucks means you have realized your profit, which mean that $100 is already your money. If you're then losing it back means you already realized your losses, which mean your already lost your money. Gambling is kinda different with trading when there's no impermanent lose. When you win or lose, you already realized it and it's permanent.
Losing your money from winning in the previous back is obviously disheatening for everyone. You were gambling for the profit, not to lose.

I beg to differ, there is no realize loss in gambling but a potential reward. If you open a position in crypto, you don't have any potential reward, you have to wait for the market to move to where you think it will go, it's after that you see profit, if you make the profit and didn't sell yet, it's considered as realize profits because you haven't sell, when you close the position then your realize profit becomes your real profit, that's how you get realize profit turn real profit.

However, gambling isn't like that. When you make a bet, you get a potential reward more like a condition that you must meet before you will be allow to win that money. If you lose the bet or any of the bet, the potential reward goes to zero because the bet is invalid. If the bet goes as you want then you already know that you making that money and the money is yours. Profit is profit, $100 is OP profit and not realize profit and when loss, everything remain zero.

When you win any money from gambling, and it is paid into your account or it is been given to you in cash, you become the owner of such cash......This is coz starting from that point you will be in full control and ownership of such a fund, and then only you can decide whatever you want to use the money to do. Having a huge profit from staking a small amount, doesn't come often. And coz of that anytime a gambler experience such win, he will definitely be very excited and even be filled with confidence to go back in again......But in the process of going in and a loss is encountered, that gambler will be filled with regrets and begin reimagining what he could have used the .money to achieve

You illustration is absolutely correct and I completely agree with you, money sitting on our account on a gambling casino may be in the custody of the casino but it's ours by right..
First is, we have account with this casino and that account has our individual personal information which makes what ever money that enters that account belong to us by right though the casino owns it by custody..

So long as we can place a withdrawal request and the casino will process the request and send this money our wallet or any other provided means,  it is absolutely OK to regard to the money as our, cus we have won it, when we request withdrawal and the casino refuse to process the request, any body in such a situation will proceed to creating a scam accusation, why create a scam accusation of the money isn't yours but the casino's? 😂

Why not? It is my money bro. What if I had lost the initial $1 I used, whose money will it be then? It is my money for crying out loud. But on a second thought, I term it foolishness or stupidity to win an amount and loose it again at the same time.
The last time I won, I quietly went home, rejoicing and celebrating my win since it's not easy to win. I don't even try to do more, because I know it's very risky. Sincerely, I wouldn't be that foolish to lose all the money I won immediately after my cash out. No way! Those who are addicts can continue with there nonsense of trying to double. For me, once I cash out, straight home I go, to answer the call of happiness

Welcome to the club! Smiley

This is the story we tell to ourselves when this situation occurs... when we make a small deposit, but instead of withdrawing when we're on top, we lose the entire balance. I don't know a real gambler who hasn't experienced this at least 10 times... and some of us even more times.

Hard truth... yes, for a brief moment it really was your money... but that moment is gone, and the next came... maybe it left you without anything...
