If you bet a $1 and you win $100 but you lose it all again the next round you bet, is it really your money that you lost even though you just won that $100? More like you lost the potential of having that amount of money which is why it hurts but if we are being honest it should be easy to move on because that money did not exactly come from your own wallet. Do you find yourself harder to move on if you lose money from a huge win even if you just bet only a small amount?
Well personally I cant move on easily by thinking that it just came from $100, I mean you have the opportunity to have a $100 and now it's gone. This is one first things that gets me in my head when I first started gambling and do compulsive decisions as trying to win back my losses. Good thing, right now when it happened I always tell to myself that I made that $100 from my mere $1 and I can do it again and I deposit another small balance maybe $5-10 and if that lose, then it's end game and it actually works for me. Same thing i told a friend of mine yesterday when he showed me a bet slip he lost it was 100k and he bet on a game of 1.43 odds ..I told him that he lost it and he said its the money he got from a week rollover and he said they took their money back but that's not really how I see it as long as the money is in your possession at that time it belongs to you because you would have withdrawn and used it for something important Not all gamblers can't enjoy winning and withdrawing their winnings. Only disciplined gamblers can use the money for other productive activities. I do not consider gambling as a regular activity. When I gamble, I use a portion of my current income. If I win, I keep some of it for the next bet and withdraw the rest and invest it. I have noticed many times that the money I plan to use for the next bet is more likely to be lost later. This is psychologically more effective because there is a tendency to allocate more money to bets when the money is available. Withdrawal after winning is a sign of a smart gambler.

Gambler loses more or less money through gambling, professional gamblers will never say that they only win money through gambling and do not lose.
I'm not a professional gambler, but I do gamble almost everyday and for many years in a row too. I can confirm that no sane person would state that they only win and never lose. We often lose along the way and the really important thing is to learn accepting your losses with dignity and have the strength to move on with life whatever loses you encountered. If it's easier for you to think that the money you lost weren't yours because you won it, found on the street or whatever, then you should think that way if it makes your life easier and helps you to not start chasing your losses. Trust me, even spells do not work on gambling, even if you are a magician, your magic can not consistently give you a win all through, if it does for some. That is the power of the unpredictability of gambling and it is because gambling works with the future and not the presence and the future is difficult to predict by whoever. As for whether you are a professional gambler, I don't think there is any gambling professional ever no matter how good and how much you win every day, you will still lose more than you win in gambling at the end of the day even the best ones in gambling do lose, the only difference between them and any other person is they accept the loss fast and know how better to move on with their lives.

Yes, it is wise to keep some money for the next bet instead of keeping the whole amount after winning while gambling, because the results cannot be predicted in advance through gambling. After winning through gambling, our greedy emotions work more, as a result, the amount of gambling increases relatively much and due to repeated betting, we do not have self-control over ourselves, as a result, gambling cannot be managed in an orderly manner, which increases the risk of losing money many times over. Therefore, it is better to withdraw most of the money after winning while gambling, this reduces the risk of losing money, and thus you can control yourself.

Sorry, mate, I'm afraid I can't understand what you are talking about. And it's not English, it's what you are saying. Do you think magic can help win big, but it can't do it consistently? Do you think it works for some people? As for whether you are a professional gambler, I don't think there is any gambling professional ever no matter how good and how much you win every day, you will still lose more than you win in gambling at the end of the day even the best ones in gambling do lose, the only difference between them and any other person is they accept the loss fast and know how better to move on with their lives. You are wrong, mate. There are hundreds of poker players who have earned over a million USD in various tournaments. They are called professional poker players. Just think of it, hundreds. And there are thousands who can be called professional poker players too, but they have won less than 1 million overall.

I mean, how on earth did we even come up with magic in gambling? This is ridiculous, lol. I think you should trust me in this. Magic is only for kids, grown-ups don't believe in that, but a sleight of hand. That's not even magic, it's a trick, a skill acquired through practice, and it's commonly used for entertainment purposes, not in gambling, because if you're caught, you're gonna face legal consequences. Can you enlighten us on what you said? If magic works, it only works for some. Are you referring to magic as science or supernatural? Do you think someone has the psychic power to control or influence the outcome of your betting to avoid losses? We're straying away from the main topic anyway, so I'm gonna respond to the OP. If you bet a $1 and you win $100 but you lose it all again the next round you bet, is it really your money that you lost even though you just won that $100?
It is your money if it was not the first time you're gambling. Most gamblers have more losses than wins, so, technically, you're gambling to earn back what you have lost, in a fun way.

Why do I have the feeling that this question has been asked many times before? The money(fiat or crypto) become yours after you withdraw them from the casino/sportsbook. If the money stay in your casino/sportsbook account, this means that they aren't yours. I do get your point about not being so frustrated after losing gambling profits. 100 USD can be a lot of money for some gamblers and little to no money for other gamblers. Everyone gets frustrated, when losing money, but the amount that was lost is what matters the most. Even if those 100 USD were won via gambling, the feeling of losing them is the same as losing your own money.

When they win again and again, some will start developing a serious mentality, thinking that they are born for it. And it will encourage and motivate them to gamble more, all in the name of chasing unrealistic expectations.

It is painful to lose bet after winning it with bet of one hundred dollars due to psychological trick known as House Money Effect. Although you used only one dollar of your own money, your brain immediately considers $100 as your own and you begin to think about what you can buy with money. Sometimes it is more difficult to get over such loss since you feel regret that you did not walk away when you were winning and when excitement of win is gone your brain has sudden chemical crash.Although logical side of your brain will be aware that you have only lost one dollar, emotional side will be feeling that you have lost great opportunity and this will make loss seem bigger than it really is.

when you win a large amount of money from a small bet technically that money did not come from your own pocket. so if you think logically it can be said that you did not really lose your own money rather you lost the possibility that the money could have stayed with you. from this perspective moving on should be easier. but the reality is that people do not always think logically. instead decisions are often driven by emotions. after a big win that money becomes mentally yours. dreams plans and future imaginations become attached to it. as a result when that money is lost the pain is not only financial but also emotional. losing a big win from a small bet can therefore feel worse than losing your hard earned money. in reality the amount of loss may be small but the emotional damage is much greater. in the end the problem is not where the money came from the problem is how much we mentally claim it as our own.

Yes, it is your money that you lost. It's got nothing to do with "potential" as there was a moment in time you could have cashed out and walked away with $100 in your pocket. Reframing it in any other way is how casinos get you. However this is a very extreme and unlikely scenario because the action never really goes this way. It's more like if you spent $67 and got back $100 is the $33 yours? If you can walk away and withdraw it at any moment, you are choosing to spend your new found money on the game instead.

Well, when you staked with $1 and win a huge amount like $100 and later lost the money through gambling again, the money has definitely become your own personal money 💰, despite you won all the money from the gambling,it's still your earn money, I have friend with thos same scenario, he won almost 200 thousand in Naira and he staked with just 1000#, then he was having this kind of joy and happiness in him, which served as motive to staked again in order to win bigger money, suprisely he was eventually lost all the money he staked and ended up regretting, so no matter how it's you must feel the impacts of the money you have lost, moreover the money you lose is still your money.

The answer to the question of this thread is really somehow because in one side it is not your money you actually and In the other side it is your money you actually lost because those people that work and earn weekly and monthly that is actually there money because they are working for it same thing if you are predicting and analyzing to make profit I mean that is work because you are actually stressing the brain but in actual sense or mathematically if you play with $10 and win $200 and you later lose the $200 what you actually lose is just $10.

Of course, if you have already won this money and it is on your deposit, then this is definitely your money. Only your example seems to me slightly exaggerated, because increasing your deposit from $10 to $200 is an extremely difficult task. But the point is clear, if you have already won this money, then it is yours and it is best to withdraw this winnings so that there is no temptation to play with this money and lose it.

I think it's all about gaming experience. A beginner will feel sorry about losing $100 as if it were their own money and worry about it, but a more experienced player won't even think about it. They'll just tell themselves that they should have taken it and not played any further. They didn't get $100 richer- they only lost $1.

You lost $100. As long as you have won that amount, it belongs to you because you also have the option of withdrawing. OP, I understand that you are trying to give gamblers a reason to move on after losing, which is okay. If you know that you would feel bad after losing an amount, it will be better not to use an amount you cannot afford to lose. A lot of people don't really think about it that way, maybe after losing their profits they tell themselves that it isn't really their money that they lost as a way to make themselves feel better...but even though this is amount of money is a win it still doesn't change the fact that thr money was in your possession at that time, meaning that you are supposed to do something substantial with it instead of gambling and losing it again

Yes its your money, simple think after betting $1 and success won until $100 all its your money available to withdraw but you bet again until loss after success raise $100. If sadly loss $100 although you bring $1 in casino gambling actually first your capital just $1 but after hard work push until become $100 you loss all it. Its call greedy in gambling and avoid your self not withdraw after winning much but keep try to bet because the mindset want to push from $100 to be $1000 and more. So $100 have loss its your money actually although you only have $1 as capital before growing up to be bigger amount just get greedy make you can't stop to bet although you have won x100 based on your first capital.

That was actually a $101 loss, with the 100 dollars belonging to the house, but if the player had moved on with the winning, It'll be considered his, since he's gone out to make extra wins from what the casinos has offered him for the day, he'd basically said to have lost the actual $1 wager after missing out on additional $100.

If luck is on your side, nothing is impossible. I once won by relying on a weekly $2 cashback, and the results surprised me because I could win hundreds of dollars. I told a friend about this, and he was also surprised by the results. When we win, but the money remains in our casino account, it's our money, and we're free to withdraw it to our own account or keep playing. It's just that it's still in the casino's wallet, but it's ours.

In my case, I wouldn't be sad as long as I bet $1, won $100, and only lost $99, keeping my $1 (which is what I deposited in the betting site). That's what I've been doing. Whenever I make a profit, I start betting with the winnings and withdraw my principal from the betting site. This way, I only bet with the winnings and don't worry when I lose because I'm only losing profit, not money from my own pocket. Now, when I lose money from my own pocket, it becomes a little worrying because I have to deposit it back into the betting site. Of course, I always deposit an amount of money that I can afford to lose. But even so, I try not to lose money in the betting site.
I get you. Losing money that comes from a very big win is more painful than the money you used in betting at first, in your mind the money has already been yours even though you haven't made a withdrawal. And in this scenario not everyone has felt it and for those that feel it, it's like a pain in the neck. As earlier said putting emotions aside makes a lot of sense, because gambling is a thing of luck. Once you've accepted your faith that anything could happen at any time or moment that will reduce the regrets and disappointments even if the win is big.
