After his dominant performance against Barrios, he is now targeting Shakur on a catch weight, and on one condition, maybe Garcia saw Crawford's interview, that he is no match against Shakur because of his skill set and brought up the fact that Ryan never beat Shakur during their amateur days.
So this could be the next match boxing fans are waiting for, but there should be an official announcement from both camps.

The catchweight demand is coming from Shakur Stevenson. I don’t think that it is something that Ryan should accept. Ryan has already proven he could sell a million PPVs, so he is the clear A-side. If Shakur is really as good as he thinks he is, he should be able to beat Ryan at any weight. His mentor, Terence Crawford, didn’t become an all time great by asking that Canelo drain himself for him. He went up to Canelo’s weight class and dominated him.

Valid point, and I don't think that Ryan will go with another catch weight fight, we all know that he suffered one of this defeat when he agree to fight Tank Davis and we all know how weight drain he is at 135 lbs and he really looks weight.

As far as Shakur, not good for him to go to fight Ryan at catch weight as well. As you have said, his mentor Crawford make himself great by not moving up in weight and challenging others for a catch weight. So let's see, hope that Shakur is willing to go up at 147 lbs as for sure he can. 147 lbs is the center piece of boxing and so he should learn that in order to be great then fight at that weight class.

Ryan isn’t in the same class as the top pound for pound fighters, but he has a bigger name than almost all of them. Every fighter who is relevant at welterweight will be targeting him, hoping to get that big payday. The fight that will interest most people is the rematch against Devin Haney. But still, there are no adjustments for Mario Barrios and so it's kind of boring watching the fight as Ryan score a lopsided 119-108, 120-107, 118-109.

He said that he wants Shakur next, so let's see.

Maybe that’s one of the reasons he became champion in the first place, because he can take punishment. I watched the duel between Ryan Garcia vs. Mario Barrios, I think this series of fights is over, Garcia has won the WBC welterweight champion, There were no irregularities in the decision taken. 12 rounds decided unanimously with points scored by both boxers 119-108, 120-107, 118-109, yes Garcia has succeeded in doing all that against Barrios.

We can see how Garcia was in the first round, he looked aggressive, he threw close range punches, in the second round he was no less playing, Garcia still made the audience happy and he still appeared explosive with fast punches. Actually we already knew Barrios was the weakest champion in that division, that’s why he was an easy target. Manny wasn’t able to get it done before, but Ryan did it in a dominant way, made it look almost easy.

Kind of sad for Barrios though, he didn’t stay champion for long. And based on that performance, it’s hard to see him becoming champion again anytime soon. At least now we have a champ who really deserves to be called one. With Ryan Garcia holding the welterweight belt, this division suddenly becomes more interesting to watch. For sure there will be challengers lining up..

Yes, it's really interesting fight for Ryan. He also has the momentum and I do think that he won't get any trainer and will stick to his father for the remainder of his career as he has history of switching trainers that might not be good for him.

They blame it to some supplements so obviously they didn't take that after the incident. I don't think that it hurt his image as he still got the benefit of the doubt by the fans and the governing bodies that's why he immediately has a championship fight after the suspension. Sure he has the talent, but as you have said, need to focus and be honest and train to fight everyone within his division to cement his legacy.

Similar to what has been mentioned before the fight has started, the performance of King Ry will become something similar to the fight against the crying Haney. The right hand was also mentioned hehehe.

For the  two of them fighting again, its reasonable considering for their age but for younger Ryan that is too different remember what he felt against Ugas although vs Barrios was a good fight though. I was never expecting this from Ryan, I thought the he might have a problem going back to 140 lbs and would stay at 147 lbs because it's obvious that he is comfortable at this weight. But I guess he is now working towards cementing his legacy and wanting to get the belt of Shakur and go down. I haven't check it if Shakur replied or not with this Ryan's taunting. We all know that Shakur as well are very active in his social media so let's see how it goes.

Henry like his son loves the limelight and the attention just like any other father-son duo in boxing right now. So Ryan should go with his Father again and be his training. Ryan should go with Eddy Reynoso, a top-notch trainer. Henry is good because his son foiught a weak fighter in Barrios, but if he is going to face a fighter like Shakur, he needs a veteran and high-caliber trainer who will supervise and lay out a strategy for his fight plan, something that Henry cannot give because he is not a full-time trainer.

Even if he rehydrates and puts on a lot of pounds to have an advantage on fight night, it is still a big risk to his health to force his body to make a weight that he has outgrown. There is also no reason for him to go to Shakur’s weight, since Ryan is the bigger draw. Shakur needs the fight more than Ryan does. It is also a mistake to be making concessions before the negotiations have even begun.
