On the 23rd of October 2025, Nnamdi Kanu took a dangerous decision by dissolving his legal team, including the likes of Kanu Agabi and Onyechi Ikpeazu who are senior Advocates of Nigeria. And this action lead to the withdrawal of these layers from his matter. All this while, these layers were working for him and the court was not able to sentence him to life imprisonment.

Nnamdi Kanu could not defend himself as he promised, charges were counted against him and he was not able to defend this charges made against him. I strongly believed that if this legal team was still behind him, Nnamdi Kanu wouldn't have been sentenced to life imprisonment, because this legal team was filled with highly experienced layers including SANs with many years of experience in the legal profession.

You just pointed out the obvious truth, Nnamdi kanu was a nightmare for his selfish Igbo who don't care about anything apart from political relevance and their pocket, they are the main betrayals here, I don't think any of them wants the guy back because when he was around they smelled hell, these guys are ready to betray for anything, so they don't care, infact if you go to their houses yesterday after that rulling may be in Abuja or anyhere outside Eastern part of Nigeria, they will be celebrating.

The 5 governors and the those they call political big wigs can never support anything that's has to do with having the country of their own because they know that it does not just happen and again they are feeding very fat so they will rather enjoy what they are benefiting with their children and relatives than to seek for a new country and anyone agitating for different country can never gain their support.

We all know that as long as the Nigerian government was able to lay hands on nnamdi Kano, there's no way he'd going to come out free. The delay was just a way of making him come to terms with what he will eventually face because this administration was bent on seeing him remain jailed till eternity.

Well, this is part of what advocating for a course is all about and just like those in the forces signs Thier life to the task they've chosen to embark on, an activist of his calibre knows better that his end come either be the realisation of Biafra or an alternative that's nothing better than what's happening now. There's absolutely nothing any Nigerian judge could have done differently since even if Kano is released, he will still go back to pursuing a course that can either lead to the fair division of the country or resulted in a full blown war.

I am not really a fan of Nnamdi Kanu, but I don't hate him either, so I will say that I am just indifference in the case. I am not happy that he was sentence to life, because I feel he does not deserve such sentence.
What I really want to point out is that its not about him dissolving his legal team that is the issue, but I think he would have still gotten the same sentence even if his legal team were still intact. I believe his own people betrayed him, I am talking about the igbos in politics, because I believe they must have discussed his sentence with them and they all agreed to it. I am really sorry for him, because he is not the issue of Nigeria,  but he has just been sentence to life because he want to liberate his people.

My brother see one thing you most understand in this MNK matter is that  every conclusion to was his faith has been concluded behind close door and not even him or his series of lawyers would have done that would have saved him out. MNK is a very strong voice that even our president is afraid of his freedom, is freedom is a political threat to so many politicians so they would have stopped at nothing to see him been jailed, and even as his been convicted and jailed most of his own igbo brothers are jubilating so you can imagine the level of conspiracy been held against him. In my Opinion, MNK did not make any mistake. All his actions were consciously tailored towards actualizing his ambition. He had planned out everything in his own mind so perfectly that he never envisaged this outcome. Unfortunately, that wasn't the will of God. What I think people should be asking is, what was really MNK's plan, because I believe what played out was deception, and if I agree with others that he made a mistake, then I will say the mistake he made was trying to deceive everyone.

MNK tried to subterfuge the people of Nigeria and the world by claiming his agenda was for the Igbos and for the independence of Biafra, which, in my opinion, was the case considering my observations from all the charges against him. He had an ulterior motive, a secret agenda that needed to be orchestrated by only him, which was why he intentionally dissolved his legal team, and all other things some others have described as a mistake. Simply put, MKN is as manipulative as some of our politicians who deceptively present the problem of their people, meanwhile they have an ulterior motive behind that projection.

The reasons I love this forum is because we discuss everything  that bothers us, and try to see if there is a way solutions can be gotten at the end of the discussion.
The case of Nnamdi Kalu is almost similar to that of Kensaro wiwa, but the only differences is that Kensaro's case was more recognised, he was even more wiser than the Nnamdi Kalu, but I won't lie, Ken was a bit greedy in his taste for independence, and even when they offered him little(state) he still kept demanding for a kingdom, and his demands where like a threat to the then Nigerian Government. I think Nnamdi Kalu is also being imprisoned because of the threat his requests post on the government. They feel threatened. This is just my opinion, and what I think anyway.

Very true, one of the reason why the struggle for Biafra hasn’t been a success so far is because of lack of unity amongst the Igbo’s, most Igbo governors don’t support the notion for Biafra, some are even singing the praises of Tinubu, that’s why even the sit at home wasn’t working in some Igbo states like Ebonyi, even during the Nigeria Biafra war one of the reasons it failed was still because of disunity because some of the south south states that they claimed was part of Biafra actually declined, according to the south south leaders their four fathers told them they ain’t Biafrans.

I think if Biafra is going to work then the first thing the Igbo’s has to fix is the disunity amongst them, once they have the kind of unity that exists between the Hausa’s that’s when they can actually archive it, without unity nothing works, how can one Igbo man in the person of Nnamdi kanu be fighting for Biafra while another Igbo man in the person of Peter Obi will be fighting to become president in same country Nigeria that his brother wants to separate from, this is actually a sign that they are divided, they really need to go back their drawing board and come out with one collective vision and aim, only then can they archive their freedom.

You summarize the whole thing in fewer sentence, in addendum to this facts weather the layers are with him or not what has been concluded is already a concluded issue, if you can trace several past judgement over this case and repealed,you realized that it's already issued that the government will not obey whatever that comes out, other than their decision. Mostly as there is a lot of shadows members who seem to be their people high rank business men and politician who did not align with the called victim. There are many alledge of threat from his team of layers that made him believe they are not doing enough and assume they are afraid to speak, the only thing if possible the team could have done is a step down the punishment, but to free him seem already concluded agenda.

Politicians that I know will never want to support a movement that will not directly benefit them, the Igbo politicians at the moment are benefiting from the Nigerian system, so they will strongly want to disagree with the movement that nnamdi kanu is bringing.


Just the way we have in our electoral system where the senate are finding it difficult to sign a bill that will help INEC to transmit result almost immediately after voting, this is because the current system is directly favoring them. So nnamdi kanu cannot rely on politicians for such kind of movement. In fact, looking at the way some of the present senators and governor's of the Igbo nation are taking a step back in supporting their brother, especially in this trying times shows where their interest lies.

See na wetin make the man dey shout say make them show am the law, this our leaders don confuse to the point wey be say them corrupt the lawmakers and now them just see those years the man stay for prison as enjoyment period say na now the main judgement come to light, from life imprisonment to life imprisonment, wetin carry us reach here self? The man ideas no be the type some of the Igbo brothers want (although many of them dey corrupt already) and some dey operate base on fear and the things them don give them to stay silent. Igbo people like themselves but nai dey inside so we no go for understand why some dey against Kanu.
