Why do we keep going back even when the chances of losing is high?

This is a question I've been asking myself for a while now. If I'm honest with my gambling life, I've lost more than I've made wins and there are cases where people boast of a one time win that can cover up all the loses they've had but that's still an exception for me I've not had that experience before yet people who likely have lower knowledge or understanding of how football works comes up with this exciting moment where they hit the jackpot, and you're just at the corner wondering why not me? I know a lot of persons will bring up the opinion that they're gambling for fun so you don't care about how much you loose, bullshit. If we are sincere with ourselves we do care besides there are other games and recreational activities that we could do for hubby that wouldn't make us spend this much in gambling and we are still goingto feel the excitement. So why?

Actually am not really an active gambler but one thing I believe are the root cause of all this is lose chasing, chasing of lose has been a major factor that has bid so many gambling in addictive gambling activities and has made many folks to swear never to let go of their lost bet till they get it all back and this ugly decision of theirs has held them bound in aggressive and  ruthless gambling style that will result nothing but doom.

However, it is quite unfortunate that this has been a major challenges we are having in the Gambling system and until we take off greed, expecting to build an empire with gamble, seeing it as a major source of income and coming back to it initial purpose of creation which is for fun, we will still be having same issues over and over again.

It's no secret that anyone who's ever started gambling, or who plays regularly, always wants to win. But that doesn't negate the idea that people can have fun this way. Yes, we see big wins, and at that moment, the question arises: "Why can't I be that person too?" That's how motivation works, always and everywhere. We need to be in the right place at the right moment, but there's always a big "BUT," since we don't know when or where. When we talk about goals, or about how much we've already lost and are frustrated that we can't obtain them back, it's all about ourselves, about our feelings, which can in no way influence the future outcome of our games, much less our luck.

That's why we go back to where we get certain feelings; they are different for everyone, but it's always about us and not about the results of the games.

It is very difficult to abandon something that has become a part of you and it's the same with gambling, even though I don't win much but I still find myself doing it regardless and that is because I don't see gambling as a way of making profit at all times. In gambling it is essential to understand that there are good days and there are bad days, gambling is not a hobby for me but it helps me relax after a long stressful day at work if I'm not with family to unwind I'm definitely going out with friends to gamble and share a few drinks. At the end of the day, it's all about winning. And so that what makes gamblers play again and again even if they've lost so much money. They could be thinking that if they will just hit that one jackpot, then they are going to stop.

And I don't think that gamblers will think that their chances are slim, on the other hand most gamblers that I have met are very positive once they enter a casino whether online or offline. They don't think that they are going to lose their money that's why they will take that risk and then later on they've found out the hard way as they lost already.

Already, gambling involves losses than winnings so it's not a new thing anymore because losing is part of the game, that's why we need to view it as an entertainment or having fun with the amount you can afford to lose because many people are just doing it for fun that's why you see them coming back. Some people gamble simply to pass the time, such as playing video games and only betting on weekends or certain days.

Like me, I don't gamble every day or at all times, but when I have free time and feel bored, I'll gamble on some casino games just to entertain myself with low stakes. Sometimes I even just make soccer betting predictions before betting on the weekend.

Not everyone gambles for money, but sometimes gamblers simply waste their free time to entertain themselves by betting.

I guess it’s because we love to waste money in gambling…  .

But with this “wasting money,” we’re actually getting something in return, and that’s satisfaction. If you’ve ever felt the thrill in gambling, then you know exactly what I mean .. you start looking for that feeling regularly. And as someone who gambles often, I can confirm that.

Honestly, I know I’m not profitable overall, but I don’t really count my losses because the experiences I get from gambling can’t be measured the same way as money.

I focus more on sports betting, and I can say I still enjoy placing bets whenever a game is about to happen. It's not like I am putting too much money, it's just enough to make me jump when the team I bet on wins.

I don't believe that people are going back to gamble because of entertainment like they wanted, many of them went back to make money, they still have some hope left that they will win.

Why do people take some time away from gambling? Because they keep losing too much, so they still have this idea that if they leave gambling for a while things can change to goodluck for them.

Most of the time you just burn away money for nothing, this is why risking the lowest form of money is best, some people knew this but they are not satisfied with what they have.

Gambling is fun for me, but I also expect to profit. It's a source of entertainment when I am not engaged in any formal activities. I am also motivated that one day might be my lucky day when I win big. Support for a sports personality or a team also spurs me to return to gambling.

If you’re a gambler yourself, I think you already know the answer. We all have our own reasons why we keep coming back, and clearly people are coming back, that’s why the gambling industry keeps booming. I think people keep going back to gamble because gambling has a way of messing with our head more than we admit. And There is this voice that keeps telling us not to go back, but then another voice telling us, "Just try one more,  it might work this time."  And the crazy part, it's how our mind always holds on to only the wins and always forget about the big losses, but that moment of "I almost got it" will just keep replying in our head. Gambling for fun isn't about not caring what you're losing it's about losing what you can afford but in a way that's not reckless... which means there are plans for everything. That doesn't mean they can't go wild at times but they are neither interested in having compulsory wins nor can they afford to lose the little they bet. That's the way I see it imo,another person can see it differently.

Now the main reason why people still go back to a casino is still having hope of winning a lot back from the casino than they've lost someday. So far you're also having one or two wins from time to time then there's no way you won't go back to try more luck because you will always see any win as free money despite you've lost so much to the casino.

In my own case I think there are mixed feelings behind going back. Sometimes it feels like I can make up for the previous loss, sometimes it feels like my luck will be a little better today and to be honest, sometimes it's just the atmosphere that draws me in. That false confidence of learning from a mistake and trying again.

Sometimes I feel like that moment of excitement is calling me back. Even though I know my brain is playing tricks on itself, sometimes I give in to that feeling but one thing is clear now, when we say we play for fun it's half truth. If there wasn't a headache about not losing money or not getting it back, so many people wouldn't be sitting up at night calculating their losses.

I'm definitely a nr. 2 gambler. Gambling has become some sort of hobby for me, and I'm convinced that this is the healthiest approach because when you realise that the money wasted till the date is lost and it's okay with that, when you don't mind what others have to tell about their winnings because people usually brag about success but not about their losses, when you don't have any expectations because you know that the odds are against you and luck is capricious, and when you understand that prior results have nothing to do with future winnings, you are free at last.

I can see two things right here because people would like to get entertain others didnt care much about their money at all but instead the satisfaction gives to the player even though they losses their money, for a while they ended up getting fun, just a short escape from the stress, on the ot her part is because people make a risk they knew that the gambling is one of the easiest way to earn money at the same time easier way to lose too but they are still playing could be chases their losses and wanting to stop but ended still want to play. I gamble for fun, and the amount of money I put into the betting site is very small. Even if I lose, it won't make a difference to me. So when I lose a bet, I don't get sad; I go back to betting on the next games because it's part of the fun. For example, yesterday there was a Barcelona vs. Bayern game.

Since I enjoy watching the games of the big teams, to increase the fun even more, I bet on both teams to win. When I was watching the game, every time either team scored a goal, I celebrated a lot because I would profit from their victory. And if they lost, I wouldn't be sad either, because I enjoyed watching the game.
