Good news is coming out from Niger State as 50 of the over 300 students that were kidnapped from St. Mary Secondary School in Papiri in Agwara local government of Niger State have been able to make it back home and reunite with their family. According to what the children said, they said the bandits were moving them in three Mitsubishi Canter trucks and luckily enough for the children one of the trucks broke down on the way. So while some of the gunmen stayed behind to fix it and the rest of the bandits rode ahead with the other two trucks on motorcycles and the older students saw their chance by jumping off the truck and bolted into the bush.

Thank God they ran into kind hearted people in the area who quickly helped and reunited them with their families. Sadly, the older children said the younger ones could not jump so the bandits took them away in the remaining trucks but the security personnels said rescue efforts are still ongoing for the rest. Let's thank God for the 50 that are back and keep praying for the safe return of every single child still in captivity.

This is a very nice development, i'm very happy to hear this good news, but with this I'm still hopeless because this wasn't the government's effort. God protected them and escape them which is why we have to seriously engage in prayer because he is the only one that can save us from this people.

This insecurity were experiencing in our country is pure politics and I don't know why our leaders are behaving like this, all they want is power. Well this is a good news, not up to half of the abducted students were able to escape but still 50 is a lot. We keep praying for the others to somehow find their way back too because we know the dangers these children are in being in the custody of those wicked people.

Why does this escape story looks somehow? I don't know know if I am the only one feeling this way but I am still surprised how up to 50 students escape while some gunmen were around. Were they sleeping? How come they didn't notice the movement of 50 people.

Even though the news of the escape of these 50 kidnapped victims raises series of question regarding the authenticity of such information, if it is actually true that they actually escaped couples with the other new circulating that the victims that were kidnapped in the apostolic church has also been released, it is a goof thing that is worth celebrating.

if we hard good security systems on ground, it would have been really easy to track the kidnappers from the information that is gotten from the released victim.

I think the government have done an enough already baba!! Most of the time I think most journalist I’ve been paid to publish fake news at times. I was hoping to see a video of the released kids where I could not or I was hoping to see testimonies from some parents like I didn’t see any of this so how turth is this? Because curiosity is making me ask how did 50 children escape then what happened to the rest to me? Yes I think this news is correct this time around well like I have said before Nigeria is getting more aggressive and becoming unsafe for everyone in the states, just as you have made mention of about them having social media accounts it this one that pains me the more having to see terrorist handed and having social media page in fact recently, I saw one having to do a video call with a citizen him was stating from them to meet up, and it’s going viral, and the government are just sitting down looking at this. They are fully aware and are behind all that is happening in the country  ( I mean the politicians).
They are the ones who buy guns for the bandits, they feed them, they give them comfortable places to live and are using them to cashout big time from the government. Wow this is so nice, some peoples destiny is just destined for greatness and can’t be truncated by anyone, the students weren’t destined to end us this way that’s why luck shined on them and God did it in such a way that they got through the narrow parts of the bush and got home safe, it’s really a testimony, am just imagining the lonely parts they would haven taken while trying to escape safely, am also imagining the long distance they would have trekked. It is well, see the stigma that a failed government is inflecting on our children, this freed students will always remember this incident throughout their lives because children observe and pick things fast. Our government really need to tackle this insecurity fast so it doesn’t leave a bad impression on innocent people especially students like this.

Agree with you, they are liars, till date we're yet to know the name of the commander that gave the order for the soldiers to leave the school before invasion of the bandits in the school, before the soldiers left 20mins before the operation, Even the state governor has asked the military to bring the commander that withdrew the soldiers for the school, after receiving information that bandits are planning to attack the school, soldiers were sent to protect the children. But left the scene for bandits to kidnapped. That's who compromised this government is , they are not ready to fight the bandits because they created the bandits, they are afraid that they will mention their names.

The government didn’t confront the bandits that took the kidnappers away, it looks like the government cannot even face them to fight, they prefer to pay off the ransom and then end up in the news telling us that they negotiated with them. In any sane country, you don’t do that because if you do, you’re empowering them to get more sophisticated weapons to carry on with their crimes. It is better you face them and clear them out all.

The current government has created an enabling environment for banditry and kidnapping business - it's a lucrative business now because instead of the Govemment to tackle the problem they prefer to go the easy route to make it look like they're actually working - the corruption, the incompetent of our President and the spy in our military has made it difficult to tackle this problems.

The news is a legit news but i don’t think it is because of the government that make the bandit to release those students and people they kidnapped, the reason why i said the government is not responsible for the release of those people is because if bandit wants to harm those students and the people they will have done so even if the government pay the ransom but the bandit decides to release those hostages because they think they have gone too far by taking the students.

Bandit has said many times that the government is aware of what they are doing and the government is in support of them, without the government, I don’t think those bandit will have those kind of weapons they are using to kill peoples and over power the forces, at this point, it looks like there is nothing to do about this bandit killing and kidnapping in Nigeria.
