Are sportsbook users turning into casino users over time?

There's no need to turn sportsbooks users to casino users because both of them are very distinct markets and shouldn't be intertwined with each other and they also cater for very different users too. I'm a sportsbook user and casino games have never appealed to me even though I do play them from time to time but it's never frequent. The only reason that would justify a casino doing that would be because they have house edge with casino games that sportsbook don't offer by default.

But sports books do set up a full fledged casino and run non sports games as well. It is done to broaden the market and cater to the need of bigger number of users. The ones who dont, might end up falling behind because this casino industry is highly competitive and users will stick to their first site unless they are not satisfied with what they offer.

Point about them being two distinct markets makes sense, but the reality is that many platforms nowadays intentionally combine sportsbook and casino in one place. So even though user preferences are different, the exposure to casino games is already right in front of sportsbook users every day. I think it's not really about "converting" users, but more about taking advantage of those moments when sportsbook users are waiting for match results or when there are no interesting events to bet on. That's where casino games fill the gap. And regarding the house edge, that's definitely one of the biggest reasons for platforms since casino earnings are far more stable compared to sportsbook.

Id rather playing with the sports betting because its all about the knowledge on the game and to the players so its an advantage already plus if you have a good odds imagine a top team lack of star player possible a turn over game into opponent and they have a good odds its already an advantage bet to you so for me id rather push with the sports bet well sometimes I wanted to play other games such slots when im getting bored.

That's what happened to me. I enjoy sports betting and place sports bets more often. But casino games are also appealing, and I play them too, although not as frequently as I place sports bets. 
Sports betting takes a lot of time, whereas casino games can be played very quickly. They provide a different thrill for each gambler. 
Some people only gamble on sports betting or casino games. But there are also those who try both.
