Maybe yes, maybe no.

We didn't know how often he share his phone number, if he buy phone credit or internet package from many local sellers, there's a chance the local seller sold his KYC. If he create an account in many sites that require KYC, we wouldn't know which one sold his data.

I'm not saying if your KYC in a casino is safe, but we can't just draw conclusion from this one and ignore the other thing you did.

I asked this because of this:

I’ve had the experience before, after completing KYC on a gambling website, I suddenly started getting calls almost every hour from unknown numbers. At first I had no idea where they got my number, but eventually I realized it tho. Some of the callers were even offering high-interest loans—probably assuming I was a desperate gambler.

I think if something like this is happening, people need to be careful of KYC gambling sites because the gambling site can be selling their customers information and one day the information will get to scammers.

Has this also happened to you before or user LastKiss might have gotten exposed somewhere else?
That casino he registered is nothing other than a scam. If you registered at the casinos, you need to put in your email address and contact number. It is possible they can contact you anytime. But that is not really the problem here. No other people make calls (very unusual) or send emails for us, but rather the casino itself. If they find your account inactive, they might think you have a problem with the money. They just inform us that they can offer a loan if we like. We can decline it if we don't.

Once we have given our information on any platform online, then they are being stored on a central server and these are not allowed to be left opened and for others to know and see what they have achieved on them, yet, I still don't know the rest why many of the gamblers will always bring out their information they can't afford to lose their privacy data all because they wanted to register.

Most are being tempted of the perks or bonuses but they are not seeing the long-term effect of their decisions. They should at least consider the possibilities of exposing their data to these sites and what may happen to them in case of breach of data especially if hackers got a hold of their information.
As the softwares are getting sophisticated these days, no doubt, these hackers can penetrate the security of some sites especially casinos where they know there are funds in there. This is why some casinos have their cold storage where they remove large bulk of their funds from their hot wallet. Because not only those hackers but you can't escape from possible inside job as well. Who knows, one of their partners is already plotting how to exit the game and disappear to a Caribbean island?

Since I stopped using local gambling sites, I have never received a call like that, even though I have given my KYC information to the online casino several times, now no one calls me anymore, local sites are much more dangerous because their network is wide, sometimes they sell to other local gambling sites.

Our informations are been stored in a central server, but that doesn’t mean our informations are safe. You should know that a casino can be hacked, and if hacked, they already have access to your informations, they can do whatever they want with it. Also a staff from the casino might be selling our informations to scammers, seriously as long as your information has been submitted on a platform, you should know it’s no longer safe.

If you know you value your privacy so much, and you don’t want anyone to tamper with your informations, then make sure you make use of gambling sites that doesn’t require kyc, but as long as you have submitted your kyc, then your informations are no longer private.

They should at least consider the possibilities of exposing their data to these sites and what may happen to them in case of breach of data especially if hackers got a hold of their information.
In the end, the users are making a trade which they do not realize that they are making -- they are exchanging information and their data for perks and bonuses. When something goes bad as a result of this trade, they blame everyone else except themselves. There are many reasons why this happens, but ultimately most people are very fragile and behave like children. When they do something wrong, they think that with enough whining and covering that their blame will disappear. The same happens with many KYC stories or stories where the user did not read the TOS -- it is the casinos fault of course!  Roll Eyes

Who knows, one of their partners is already plotting how to exit the game and disappear to a Caribbean island?
Life is not a Netflix movie, this almost never happens. Speculating on very rare scenarios is misguided and not worth the time here..

You can't make such general statements for everyone because it depends a lot on where the user lives. Therefore for many places your statement will be wrong. Local casinos in the EU have to adhere to strict data protection laws, much stricter than online casinos and this is not going to be true for many other countries.

If you know you value your privacy so much, and you don’t want anyone to tamper with your informations, then make sure you make use of gambling sites that doesn’t require kyc, but as long as you have submitted your kyc, then your informations are no longer private.
If a person has completed KYC even once anywhere in this industry, it may already be too late for them overall. Still, they can work on harm reduction by not submitting data anywhere else and preferably asking for the deletion of old accounts where data was submitted.
