Hello everyone I just had a random thought about what if there was some mass adoption of bitcoin miners and there is 1-2 mini solo miners or moderate older S9 or modded S19 models to run on house hold outlet's, HOW much of the power grid would get blown across each country and say if we already come prepared for the major uptake in electricity? Would black outs be alot more common and for the areas that chose to not run bitaxe solo miners and more hashy models like the S9 etc how LOUD will the community's be?

Well never miner that they mine at a loss.

If all the off line gear fired up in a week

Some places would be loud.
Some places would black out.
Some places would just work.

MY home can do 6 t21 units about 21kwatts

I would lose money so I do not run the gear.

I am not the only one that has idle gear that can fire up if Some weird shit happens price wise.

If I ran it all It would be loud, if everyone on my block ran 6 units we would melt the transformers

Related with your topic, some ASIC (such as Avalon Mini or HeatBit) advertise their goods as both BTC miners and heaters. It's probably "best" option for mass miner/mining adaption due to it's simplcity. But it seems it's cheaper to just buy regular heater (even considering amount of BTC you could earn), which is why i say "best".

An interesting attribute of using a miner as a heat source is that it needs an internet connection in addition to an electrical power connection. For some folks that is fine, for others it's just an irritation. When I was doing mining at home, it was always a surprise when my single Avalon miner would drop down to idle (i.e. the fans spin down). That was when my ISP was "on the fritz" (i.e. cable modem with Comcast went down).

It didn't happen often, it was just an interesting attribute of "home mining/heating".

Nope, it's not going to happen. Home ran mining units are a thing of the last. Already it was outlined long ago than since mining becomes an armsrace the public would invest in industrial size mining. There's no possibility to run competing miners at home.

Maybe if central heating systems want to incorporate mining in their production to utilize excess energy they couldn't utilise otherwise, sure. There are some edge cases that mining could be beneficial. But the cases where it would break even are very minimal. So overall it ain't happening.

Maybe if central heating systems want to incorporate mining in their production to utilize excess energy they couldn't utilise otherwise, sure. There are some edge cases that mining could be beneficial. But the cases where it would break even are very minimal. So overall it ain't happening.

over 1 million homes mine at pools like ck solo

but in terms of running a 3 or 4 kwatt miner it is done.

simple reasons are.

3.5 x 24=84 kwatts a day x 30= 2520 kwatts

a 5000 usd top of the line miner makes 270x 3.8=1,026 10.26 a day or 30x10.26=307.8 a month

so 307.8/2520=12.2 cents a kwatt

So if you have 12.2 cents power you earn a net of 0 a month and you paid 5000 bucks to do so.

Ask your self how many homes have 9 cent power which would mean earn 307.8 and burn 226.8 = net 81 a month never mind you paid 5000 to get the unit

people won't do that.

they will mine a bitaxe since 200 out of pocket and under 11kwatts a month  say 25 cents a kwatt is $2.75 a month works for them

I mean why not give yourself 144 chances a day to hit a block or 4320 shot a month at $2.75 a month and intial price of 200

so mass solo mining is pretty much a mortal lock to grow and never end.
