What is your speculation on this fight and what is your prediction? I am speculating that this will be difficult for Keith Thurman, however, he might win with a decision for this. Fundora is very tall but he might not be a very good boxer. The small King Ry on his wanted to challenge on Fundora after his victory against the crying Haney might be the warning sign that Fundora is winning because of his bigger size.

To be honest, I’m leaning more toward Sebastian Fundora in this matchup. He’s younger and far more active—fighting four times in the past two years—which I think is his biggest edge over Keith Thurman. Plus, he’s shown that his lanky frame carries real power, as we saw in the Tim Tszyu fight, where he proved he can go toe-to-toe and even abandon his jab advantage when necessary.

You make a very good point with your statement, I think Sebastian Fundora would be victorious in this matchup, because I have seen him fight in different situations in the last two years he has been outstanding with his performances in the ring have been spectacular.

Keith Thurman seems like someone who is just fighting to Challenge Sebastian Fundora who have been clinical with his performance and throwing his punches, well I guess he has a very good chance of winning this matchup and also considering his physique I think he is a very talented boxer and he can be very entertaining, let’s see how the matchup develops.

For me this fight could go in the judges scorecard or Fundora might win in the knockout. If a knockout occured in favor of Fundora, it might be around 8 or up, as Thurman have the history of gassing up in the later round specially. The age might also be a factor for him, yes, his comeback win is good, but it was really tailor made for him to look good. Here he will be facing a fighter that is very tall and so all advantage goes to Fundora.

This might be the same as Fundora vs Tszyu, in the early rounds Tim has someone stay with Fundora, but he was hit as well so in the later part of the fight, Fundora was able to soften him. So this is going to be a very hard fight for Thurman here.

How can Thurman control the distance when Fundora has all the advantage on that? It should be the other way away, Fundora is the one going to control the distance because of his height and reach advantage. If Thurman wanted to control the distance then he might go and over extend his punch and it's not good because Fundora might time and counter him with a upper cut and knock him out. Thurman is the underdog here, he is 3:1. So it's very hard to see what kind of strategy will Thurman used to beat Fundora here, unless he goes the Brian Mendoza route of perfectly timing a left hook to drop Fundora for good. Although Keith is 37 years old already, so we might say that he is already wash up and just fighting for the money.

I actually forgot about this fight. I thought the match already ended.  
I've updated the thread title to reflect the correct match date.
Hopefully, no postponement will occur this time (I think it was moved 3x already?), so this fight will happen, and we will finally witness this David Vs Goliath match-up.  
With that being said, I'm still leaning towards Fundora (The "Goliath") on this one.

I love to,  we all know Thurman is still good, but Fundora is such a badass in his last two fights that it's hard to bet against him. He has become too dangerous; he has many punch combinations, and he now knows how to manage the distance after his loss to Mendoza.

We’ll definitely see a very interesting fight. This one is very important for Thurman, because a loss here could really hurt his boxing career. At the same time, we can’t deny that he’s not getting any younger and hasn’t been that active, so it’s understandable why the bookmakers have him as the underdog.

If you bet on him, it’s a big gamble as well, since you’re basically believing that Fundora isn’t really a high caliber champion. But let’s see, we’ll find out tomorrow.

Though there is a chance that this fight will become a brawl but i think Fondura and Thurman could survive each others' power punches. Height and reach advantage matters in this fight... at least for me, and Fundora isn't just a normal boxer that's amateur. Yes, Thurman can be considered a great fighter, but Fundora is as well that's why he's a title holder, and he's holding it for a reason - he can fight toe-to-toe with his opponents. He's not some kind of title holders like Barrios where he's too weak to hold a title for very long.

I'm also leaning on Fundora to defend his title on this one. It's a bit unfortunate that this didn't create that much noise online... or maybe it's just me who felt it that way.

The way Thurman looked tonight, I thought he might be close to the same age as Manny Pacquiao, but he is still only 37. Injuries and inactivity have greatly diminished him. Some fighters, like Artur Beterbiev, have been able to still be great in spite of having similar circumstances. Keith Thurman was a decent champion many years ago, but he was never truly exceptional in the same kind of way as Beterbiev. It is obvious that his career should have ended long ago.

Fundora still has a lot to prove. He would be an underdog against Boots Ennis and Vergil Ortiz, but he is still very dangerous for either one of them. Due to his size, he is an uncomfortable opponent that is difficult to beat using conventional strategies.

Maybe he's thinkin that he can also do what Pacquaio did to Margarito, but it end up so bad on his side since Fundora dominated him in this match. Although he didn't announce or say something about retirement, but I think this is great sign for him that its time for him to retire and focus on other thing just like what you have said as analyst.

Before the fight and on many press conferences, Thurman bragged that this was going to be an easy fight for him, but it ended the other way around; it's probably the easiest of Fundora's fights people have seen. In any case, I am not only very much excited for welterweight where King Ry and the crying Haney are the champions. I am also presently very much excited on super welterweight where the next fights will be Boots Ennis vs. Xander Zayas and Fundora vs. Vergil Ortiz! I predict that the winners of these fights will fight for the unification of WBA, WBC and WBO. I very much wish this will be Boots vs. Fundora hehehehehe!
