I wonder if the world could have been so exciting as we have today without the influence of the US, celebration is what makes the people feels achieved and complete, thanksgiving day is one of the most remarkable holidays in the United States that is widely celebrated, because the people have more reasons to come together and appreciate themselves for many reasons, it's all about giving.

Thanksgiving, or Family and Feast Day as I like to call it, is one of my favorite holidays.  It's purely about celebrating three of my favorite things; family, friends, and food.

We do thanksgiving but not on a national note like the Americans. Where i come from we do celebrate new yam festival annually as a symbol of good harvest. In some churches, they also do thanksgiving which they commonly call ''a harvest'' and it's mostly done during December periods so we are about entering into a month of thanksgiving and celebration where families, friends and loved ones give thanks to God for his goodness and mercy all through the year.
Of course a thanksgiving celebration requires family, friends, the food and the merriment.

The turkey looks so delicious. The skin is perfectly golden. No doubt you are a good chef because achieving that color and texture on such a large bird isn’t easy. I tried it once too, but it turned black due to overheating, and I couldn’t get that color. Anyway, have a good Thanksgiving!

Today Black Friday.
Today is the biggest shopping day in America and Canada.

 It's very important to know that at the end of the day we won't be able to appreciate these things if we don't have life so it's necessary to take out time to thank God for life. Also, when we learn to acknowledge the little things that make living easier, we'd be content. I agree with the op how it's necessary to use this medium of Thanksgiving to also reach out to those who can't be able to enjoy the basic things a human being would enjoy and help wherever we can because nothing is too small or insignificant.
 At the moment, there are areas of the world that are being ravaged by insecurity and wars, children, families are being displaced from each other and even though we may not be able to make large donations, a little to put a smile on someone's face would go a long way.

Yeah this is one thing usually do within myself and to our neighbors and to those whom I think aren't in better ways feeding fine or are even less have enough to feed, I don't usually wait for a celebration period and or even a festive period to share and give to them, I do what I can at my little dispensation and without waiting to have sufficiently enough before I could do that. I believe in living in peace and harmony with neighbors around me whom I think they are my God because our Creator can't fall from above to keep demonstrating and sharing love within us but instead we all have that capacity and capabilities to help, share and give to one another with this, there will be less worries, war or even hatred as we do share.

Thanksgiving should ought to be what we do frequently, like me I thank my Creator everyday for his goodness upon my life. I plan to do proper Thanksgiving this December ending or new Year but I guess we all have to celebrate with you first in this forum. Like crypsafe has already said the more we thank our creator the more we have more open doors. I am a living withness of that, only those who are alive can do Thanksgiving and am proud to be among the living. Buy eat and drink what you can afford, don let the luxurious lifestyle of rich and arrogant people spoil your mode. #Happythanksgiving.

Thanksgiving is not a Holiday observed in this part of the world, unlike Christmas and New year and you know that. We only observe thanksgiving religiously either by going to the Church to show appreciation to God, or practising it in a traditional or cultural way.

What a year it has been.  The price may have round tripped since last Thanksgiving, but what a ride that was to over $125,000! 

I hope everyone's 2026 is just as great and filled with an abundance of joy.

There are many on this forum who choose to try and divide us or cast negativity at those of us who make an effort to provide value to this community, but they can't stop us from being a part of this shared hobby that has brought so much positivity into so many of our lives.  It has been great being on this journey with you.

Remember, there is a lot of evil in the world.  Do good anyway. 

You are right. There will always be negativity and division, whether in the market or in the community. And let the negative people do their thing. If you remove the negative people from the community for a month, and a month later they will come back and spread more negativity.

The price was lower this year than it was last Thanksgiving.
But we went up to $125k this year. Which is a sign of the acceptance and recognition of Bitcoin going far.

Let's focus on the purpose of the thanksgiving celebration, moreover there is no specific time we should give thanks, or spend time with family, the Christmas festive season is fast approaching, also a period to spend with family, friends and loved ones, we shouldn't stretch the conversation further.

Thanksgiving day in the US is a federal holiday kept for the celebration, In Nigeria, there is no exact date for the celebration that is federally recognized, besides we observe following our denominations or personal arrangement, all the same the purpose of celebration is alike and shouldn't matter on what particular date to celebrate.

Here in my country we don't celebrate Thanks giving, bu I can easily understand the spirit behind it and how it has become such an important date for people in the United States and other countries influenced by American culture.

I will celebrate these days by looking up for attractive discounts on the internet and eat with my loved ones, not much else to do for someone like me, who does not live in the USa.
