Is sports betting really better than slots? share your wins and losses

I always read from our discussions in this board about people saying sports betting is better than slots because sportsbook results can be based on skill, while slots are pure luck with high house edge. If that’s true, I’m curious about your own experience.

They are all games of chance so I don't see why we should rate one above the other, you can bet on a football team that has 100% winning rate in their last 15 matches against another that has 30% winning rate but to your amazement the lower team will come out victorious, upsets happens all season long, in essence none is a sure bet so it depends on the one you just enjoy playing nothing else.

We know slots are random by design but even sport betting can become unpredictable and random as well due to factors such as injuries, match fixing, refereeing style etc. The truth is both can certainly drain your payroll and both can as well pay you on a good day, just understand that in the world of gambling nothing is guaranteed, either ways, you will surely win and lose.

It's not about the biggest win or losses here, so that we don't make it sound more of a competition to do, it has to be what we wanted and admires the most, which is the same thing we are going for whenever we are on it gambling, not minding if we lose or win as long as we are playing the right game of our choice, be it sport bets or casino games, almost all gamblers are fans of sport bets than being a lover of casino games.

To be honest, both of them are detrimental to me, but I feel that sports betting is more enjoyable and the sensation I feel when watching the match is very sensational, I enjoy it and I am also very happy when my chosen team wins, I don't get that sensation in slot games or other games which I think are more focused on luck and I rarely get entertained in these games.

It all depends on personal preference. Personally, even though i often place bets on sports betting, to this day i still often, even very often, play slots. It's hard to describe the adrenaline rush when playing, the emotional rollercoaster at every moment, especially when the scatter doesn't come down, causing frustration and even anger, but that's precisely where the fun lies. Sport betting while still based on luck and predictability, you have a good chance by analysing past performance of a certain team against another to know the strength and possible outcomes of the game. This gives you a better chance of winning compared to slots that we think is based on randomness which is false.. the slots machines are programmed in such a way that the company will win over the long run... So I will choose sport betting... Human performance are quite more predictable than machines

Are you actually more profitable in sports betting than in slots? Or at least, do you lose less in sports betting compared to slots?

I don't keep records of these games outcomes so, I  can not honestly tell which game type I have won and which I have lost more.

What I know is that there is always anxieties in the slot games especially when spinning and knowing that your success will always rely on luck while in the sport bets, skills will always be an added advantage for your to win even though you will still rely on luck.

But in all if I must guess which I have won more,  I will say it is the sports bets because chasing lower odds is ideally reducing toie risk.

The main thing in gambling is interest; whatever you are interested in, just go along with it. Gambling is a game of luck, and there is evidence to show that one may be better than the other when it comes to luck.

There is no guarantee in gambling, so if you think sports betting is what you like and you get lucky easily to win, then that's fine for you. What I'm trying to say is that you don't need to go into gambling because you feel a particular type of gambling is better than the others; it doesn't work that way. I am more conscious when I am playing casino games, I am not addicted to it at all, but I was addicted to sport betting, thinking I can use some analyses to win more money, but i was losing money instead. Both are very risky, but sport betting look like it is not risky and where the problem is.

It's good you recovered from it,.some people are in that phase where they feel like they are losing their minds because they keep trying new strategies after every failure. With what I have seen on both, none is better, it is better for people to go for the one they prefer. Someone can be lucky in casinos while someone can be lucky in sport. The foundations of addiction is usually from a development of when you think the knowledge you have for gambling is such an advantage that will keep you successful, that is why you get more attracted to sport bets where skills maybe applied and you may also believe that you can eliminate some risks via the betting options when making decisions on sport bets.
Casino is surely full of luck and when you understand both betting difference such that you want to keep playing in the long term, then you will spend more times in sports than the casino's.

These are completely different forms of gambling; it's impossible to say which is better solely based on the amount won. While slots are based exclusively on luck, sports betting requires a bit more from the gambler, a good analysis of the options and the team/athlete they intend to bet on, although it's also based on luck, since in the end, it's all about guessing.

I haven't had much luck with sports betting; I need more practice. With slots, since I don't bet much, my biggest win so far has been around $100 to $150...

I am losing more with sports betting but I am still staying with it. I don't mind how much I lose in sports betting because it has become a way for me to have fun and also to support the teams that I like betting with. From my point of view I would like to say that not that the sports betting is skill based it is also depend on the luck but the probability of winning could be higher if you really know about that sports and as well the teams where you want to stake  and the result could be also more better if you know about the special player as well their current form.
But as well also remember this is gambling and not for investment it is for entertainment so stake that amount what you can afford to loose because ultimately results depend on your luck.

It’s because slots are based on pure luck, they’re coded. In sportsbetting, yes, you still need luck, but the result depends on the player, fighter, or team. Also, you can analyze the games, which at least helps you a bit in deciding what to bet on. But saying one is better than the other really depends on where you’ve made the most profit. If both are the same, which is negative, then you can’t say one is better if you’re losing in both

Yes. Slots are purely luck while sportbets needs some level of skill and information to make the right decision. I haven't really seen anyone that said I'm good in slot games though I have seen people that have made more from slot than sport but it isn't based entirely on skill but luck.

In the aspect of one being better than the other I think it's all a matter of preference..I have benefitted more from betting on sports more than what I have won from casino games like slots and the rest...sports betting is more of a game that involves skills and it gives players a high chance of winning..slots on the other hand are random and the casinos designed these games for gamblers to lose more

It is even difficult for me to compare slots with betting, because for me these are completely different games with different approaches. In slots I can't make any analysis of the game, evaluate the opponents, see which team has injuries and how this can affect the result. In slots I just choose bet size I want to play, and that is where everything ends. In slots I rely only on luck and I do not like that. In betting I can choose the team I want to bet on, I can do a full analysis of the match, and decide how good this bet is. A different approach brings different results, and in my opinion this is very important.
