Jimuel Pacquiao is making his pro debut on November 29 against Brendan Lally at 140 lbs.
It’s the first Manny Pacquiao Promotions event in the US, and this fight will finally show what Jimuel can do as a pro.

I know this isn’t a championship fight, but I think he deserves a thread since he’s the son of a legend.
I’m honestly excited to see if he can even come close to his father’s achievements. I’d also like to hear your thoughts on this.

This is pretty exciting actually, 2 of Pacquiao's son is following his footsteps, we'll see what can Jimuel can do in an actual match. I haven't seen him fight before but due to his father's connection and influence, I'm pretty sure he got the best coach, training and equipment to improve his performance. He’s under MP Promotions, so it’s expected that he’s getting good training.
Let’s hope he wins this fight. It’s his debut and he’s carrying his father’s name, so there will be a lot of expectations on him.

Sparkle GMA has officially welcomed a new face to its stellar roster in Eman Bacosa Pacquiao, who marked a pivot in his career from boxing arenas to the world of entertainment upon signing his contract on Wednesday, November 19.

Top GMA executives, including Executive Vice President and CFO Felipe S. Yalong, GMA Network Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, Sparkle GMA Artist Center First Vice President Joy Marcelo, Sparkle GMA Artist Center Talent Imaging and Marketing Assistant Vice President Jenny Donato, attended the ceremony and welcomed the new Sparkle talent.

Eman's mother, Joanna Bacosa Dino, was also present to witness her son's new career milestone.

First impressions count for a lot, so if he manages to make a good impression in this fight, he'll certainly get attention and his professional career could get off to a great start. Knowing that he's also fighting a newcomer, he won't be able to use arguments like: "I lost because I was fighting someone more experienced than me." Therefore, if he loses this fight, it will be a very bad start to his professional career, so I see him under a lot of pressure in this fight. I can't judge on how Jimuel Pacquiao will be on the ring as I haven't followed his boxing story. But because as some already mentioned, he didn't suffer much hardship in life, so it might have an impact inside the ring, how determined he will be in this sports. Because from what I have heard, Manny Pacquiao has an illegitimate son who is also into boxing. And for me, that boy may have different motivation as compared to the legal son. But who knows? So let us see how Jimuel will fight on this prodebut.

Why not? He loves boxing, so it’s only right that Manny, as his father, supports him. He believes it’s in the blood. And before this fight, he was already training constantly and had some non-pro fights. Now that he thinks he’s ready, then let’s give him the opportunity to prove what he can do.

After all, if he fails, nothing big will be lost, as long as he doesn’t get seriously injured because money isn’t a problem for that family anymore.

In the first place he wouldn’t even be entering boxing if he didn’t need money anymore. What I think is Jimuel just wants to make his own name. Maybe he won’t reach his father’s level, but right now his goal is to become a champion. We’ll see on Sunday. Since the fight is in the US, it’ll be Sunday here in the Philippines.

I guess that depends on what type of parent you're going to be. Supporting your kid's dream is by far the most noble thing to do as a parent.
Yes, Manny and his kids may not have the same upbringing. Manny was born in poverty, literally had to work his ass off just to make through the day while his kids are lucky enough to be born at the time their father is in the peak of his boxing career and wouldn't have to concern themselves with financial problem. So, surely, money isn't the motivation for this kid to go through Boxing. It could be that he want to prove he's got what it takes to be one of the greats, on par with his father and that sort of dream and motivation I would respect. Let's give the kid a chance, who knows, maybe the Pacquiao blood will shine through again.

I remember those days, but I don’t think we’ll see that again under the new Pacman. Jimuel never had the kind of life his father had, the kind that shaped Manny into a real warrior. It’s different when boxing is your only way to survive and your only shot at a better life.

Jimuel is doing this more out of passion. There’s no real pressure for him to win because, either way, he’s already living a comfortable life as the son of a billionaire. The only real weight on him is carrying that last name.
