This Thread provides a daily update about the "Top Daily Merit Senders" on the forum.
The purpose of this report is to show how many Merits were sent each day and which users were the most active in distributing them.

The data is collected from public Merit Logs and processed automatically.
Only sent merits are counted, not received merits.

How the Ranking Works:

• Users are sorted based on the number of Merits they sent out during the day.
• If two or more users sent the same amount, they share the same rank.
• Daily updates are posted in the next replies.

I don't know how you plan to do the daily updates, but to avoid creating huge lists of names, I would suggest not including those who only submit 1 merit.

Very nice initiative OP. This data will easily help users track forum activities and make them understand the patterns users distribute their merits, it will also give a clearer picture of those helping others grow by rewarding merits to good contributions. It can also help us identify unusual merit activities aka merit abuse.

I have one suggestion, how about including a chat showing the percentage of total merits received in a day by each board in the forum.

Sure, it might serve the same purpose, or should I say, almost the same purpose, but bringing it directly to the forum for easy consumption can't be underestimated. It's a genius work from @AakZaki, to say the least, as I wouldn't have bothered myself checking a third-party website the way I will frequently visit the one posted here.

Your list is already wrong on day one. I sent 5 merits yesterday but I'm not in the list. I don't know how you pulled the data to make this kind of mistake, but if you're planning to publish this regularly you need to find the bug in your code and fix it first.

In my case, what I did yesterday was similar to what DdmrDdmr did, which was to re-merit the posts that I had merited. He did this with a script that also automatically sent merits to posts that had obtained a certain number of merits and that he had not merited.

In my case, it is much less sophisticated; I did it manually and only for the posts that I had merited on my local board, since I was appointed a merit source for it.

I don't know if so many merits from klarki and fillippone obey to something similar.

You sent all yesterday's Merit before 2 AM in my timezone. It could be OP uses a different timezone, so he thinks it was a different day.

Thank you. I'm getting into the habit of not reading anything before commenting, as is customary in the forum. As for this specific point, daily updates seem too frequent to me, for something that is nothing more than gossip (IMO), but I understand that it is legitimate.

I'd suggest you limit it to Top 10 and add Total Txs ( Total transactions) - to make it more interesting.

This thread will become a mega thread if you keep posting daily stats but at some point you’ll miss days or dump the idea away completely so I don’t find this project feasible.

You could have done it a weekly dump instead of daily and that actually might have worked better. (If someone else hasn’t done it already)

What about instead, focusing on the discussion of those data, instead of the data themselves?
A simple snapshot of the ninjastic.space would suffice.

Why fillippone is second on this chart? How was him able to send such an amount of merits?

The OP said that the data is collected automatically, thus, him creating the topic and updating it daily isn't too much of a hassle since the most complicated part is the data collection. I will also agree with the others to avoid taking into account 1-2 merit submissions to avoid long lists that spam everyone in the process. Although it's a nice idea to display the daily merit transactions, it can be time-consuming and binding if you're creating the post yourself, unless you can automate it with a bot to do that as well, or switch to weekly statistics.

Moreover, daily publishing will one day be impossible, as, unfortunately, everyone faces various problems (I certainly don't wish them on the OP) that prevent us from regularly visiting the forum. Furthermore, the OP could suggest opening a different topic for comments and closing this one, to avoid turning it into a mega-topic, which is bound to happen one day. Daily analysis in a closed topic, and viewing it without other comments, is much more convenient than scrolling and searching for the right day.
