It makes work easier and more efficient but like every good thing that have been created it would also be misused for goals it was never created to achieve.

there are jobs that can't really do without human labour but yes it would lead to unemployment in some sector and increase another by creating a new market. This shows it's a threat as well as an opportunity depending on how you look at it and yes it would help in improving productivity like I said it makes work faster and easier

With the popularity and influence of Artificial intelligence increasing, how does it affect the future of work?

I think we have discussed about this on so many occasions. Some people believe that AI is going to cause mass unemployment, but i do not think that is going to be the case. Some people seem to forget that technology has continually advanced for ages now, up until this point, so we didn't just get here.

That said, with these advancements, there are bound to be roles that become obsolete and people lose jobs as a result, but i don't think we'd experience technology-driven mass unemployment. As a matter of fact, AI is expected to produce jobs, because it creates novel roles that require personnel to fill.

I think that with the recent rise in A.I which has cut across almost all sectors of work, there is a great hope with the future of jobs in the nearest future. Because there is going to be a shift in the way that jobs are done in the industrial space because imagine AI doing a task that was supposed to take two to three days by humans and doing it in minutes. This is going to be a boom for the future of jobs because in the future man is going to have a less stressful working environment because almost everything in the working place will be automated in such a way that you will just be giving commands to machines and the Job will be done.the biggest concern about AI that most people are afraid is the role that AI holds for job security because with time there will be less human needed in the working place.

Too many questions... as is often the case, there's no universal answer here. And it's pretty hard to draw any conclusions. I guess it's the fact that it's been used by many... therefore, it affects everything in some way... good and bad!

Time will tell... since we are living in a period when digital goods are getting more and more attention, something will happen with all that... what exactly is hard to say. I am sure we all have dreams & imagination...

AI does not affect work but it did have taken a lot of jobs, but people are still surviving, for example before anyone can sell their designs or logo for few dollars on internet now nobdoy wants them as everyone are making the best logos ever from the new image generation tools, but those who are not are the ones still think AI is not good and the service providers who think AI is also not good they will be left behind as they won't be adopting it, learning it and especially won't use it for their own good.

AI in the future is likely to increase productivity in some areas, while causing dependency and laziness in other areas. I just feel it's going to be a two way thing considering how things are currently going at the moment. In the tech industry for example, I have seen a few tech guys make use of it especially in complex matters. It's not as if it is always 100% efficient, but that suggestion that it gives has a way of making them to find solutions to complex tasks. And for other areas like Academics, i.e in schools, even though a lot of students are going to make a positive use of it, I just feel that larger percentage might eventually get too lazy.

And as for the issue of mass unemployment, well that I can't really tell. We have to understand that AI isn't that efficient at the moment. Mind you, what most job demands for isn't just efficiency, they also demand for productivity and the ability to sort out unfamiliar issues which only humans can do because of our ability to think. I doubt if the AI of these days can sort that out. So at this point, I don't see A.i becoming a threat that can result to massive unemployment in the future. And as for the country that could benefit more, well it is left for those that takes development seriously especially in areas of tech.

Yes it will, producers will turn to AI for more productivity and maximise profits. Every producer wants a situation were they will produce more  at little expense as long as they have the market to sell their products.

Yes it will, if factory owner turn to the use of AI for their productions in the future, those workers that usually do those jobs will lose their jobs. This is one major threats that the rise of AI pose to humanity, and so far nobody has been able to profer solution to these challenge. Some say the AI won't take our jobs but they are all lying because I don't see a future were employers will have AI and humans doing same job in the same working environment, one will definitely have to go and it will be the humans.

There was an AI app I used to compose a song, I just need to write a song and paste it on the app, then my song is ready with a voice that's not mine, loud and clear voice with smart instruments. It was amazing,  I'm not an artist though but I got a song, so many songs but not my voice.

So I asked myself if there is any need to go meet and pay a producer, editor, song writer and some other workers in the music industry. None.

From this, I got to understand that AI is gradually eliminating workers, less jobs would be available, it's taking almost every other human jobs.

Artificial intelligence is not here to increase unemployment rate but to add value to this modern society. As artificial intelligence is taking over the job opportunity,  their will be more opportunity out their for humans.  I think artificial intelligence works with humans as a team because it is even programmed by man. This has been a major concern with a lot of people and it would always be something that people would be worried about. It is already clear that artificial intelligence is taking over and most jobs now will no longer require humans to run them in the future. The solution to this so you don't get affected by this change is to make sure that you learn skills that would always require human input because we can all agree that there are certain skills and jobs that would always need human ideas to run them.   The truth of the matter is that A.I has come to stay and with A.I , the future of many jobs is not promised. But the thing here is that not all workers will be affected. The only workers that might loose their job are low skilled workers. Those workers that  perform routine, manual and some cognitive tasks particularly in the manufacturing and administrative sectors. These are sectors that robots find themselves more  reliable than humans.
  Interestingly while the longevity of A.I is capable of causing a decline in employment for low skilled workers , it will also encourage the creation of automated  jobs such as programming, maintenance , management of the A.I technology. But this opportunity is specifically for high skilled workers.

Do we need humans to create them ? Big Yes
 Can they operate without being pre- programmed? Big NO
  Do we need high skilled workers to do this? Yes
  Can robots breakdown? Yes
  Do they need  maintenance from high skilled workers? Yes.
  So, even if A.I is replacing jobs , it cannot  completely replace all jobs particularly that of  high skilled workers.

 Yes with A.I there's much more increase in productivity and economic growth due to cost savings from automation which can reduce production cost and lower prices and of course GDP rise.

    So for high skilled workers, I don't think their job would be at stake. The only workers I fear for are the low skilled ones. But I think with  a lot of up skilling and re- skilling of the workforce , new demands of the labor market such as in case of automation can be matched.

It is those countries with low population that will benefit from AI. Lower population also means lower man power or labour and so using AI in those countries will even mean high proficiency since there is no body to do the job in the first place. This is the reason that such countries require foreigners to do certain jobs for them.

But for countries with high population, AI takes jobs away from able bodied men and women, and keep them jobless.

I hate to say the word, but it's the exact words that will describe it, and that they are stealing people's jobs. It started as a tool to help humans in their jobs, but soon evolved into a competitor. It causes significant disruption to people's jobs across many industries.

Before we start talking about the damage ai can cause lets talk about the advantages of it, Ai has also created jobs for people and by that I mean people are now making use of ai to do a lot of things like creating videos and other things. So if you are talking about it causing unemployment in the future remember that there are some people that are making money off it now imagine how much benefit it would bring in the future

It is not a clear future exactly; it may increase the efficiency of work, and it may also lead to unemployment for many.  

The improved efficiency for work is for those who would actually use it as an assistant to improve the productivity they already provide the company and any sector they work in. They are not going to hand over the jobs to AI to handle but will work closely with it to improve their job delivery and efficiency.

For the people whose jobs AI will take, these are the people who will refuse to develop themselves to the level that they become very important in any sector they are in—those that will depend completely on artificial intelligence not for assistance, but as a lead.

I also did similar thing with the AI app. I could have gone to pay someone to type Bunch of exam question booklet  for me but all I just did was to snap and paste it in the AI app and that was all. It gave me exactly as I had prompted it to do. I was able to save all the typing fees for printing expenses instead.
 In this case , AI has replaced the job of typing my work but did not replace the job of printing it.
 This is one reason I keep saying that though AI is gradually replacing jobs, it cannot completely replace jobs that require human input

I don't think there's anything to worry about; some people are worried they'll steal our jobs. That's the last thing we should be focusing on. Robots will replace human labor and build it. There's still a ton of work for humans. At least people won't be doing manual labor, and when they do work, they'll be more productive.

Have you ever wondered how and where  AI generate  all the information it gets from? Of course yes..it must have crossed your mind. I came to understand that AI gets most of it's information by learning from large data sets and periodic human interactions which helps it to give accurate responses over time. So you see, AI gathers from different sources from which the human Brain must have contributed to , refines it and gives us back.
  What I see from here is that AI still depends on human creativity at the end of the day.
