I used to think that someone would help. Government would provide jobs. Schools would teach things that are useful. Companies would have to train workers. Society would take care of hard working people. This was how I thought for a very long time. Maybe you did too.

Then I began paying attention. I saw that the places that need it most receive the least help. I witnessed how more often than not, training programs are cut first when money is tight. I saw that the companies want "ready-made" workers but don't like to create them. I saw that the gap between rich places and poor places is getting bigger, not smaller. And I realized something that changed the way I thought about everything. The system is not broken. It is operating just as designed. But it just was never made for people like us.

This sounds dark but actually it set me free. Once I stopped expecting people to help me, I began helping myself. I stopped waiting for the perfect course or the perfect job or the perfect opportunity. I began to learn things by my own self. I began building skills that I chose to, not skills someone told me to get. I started connecting with people on the internet who think the same way. We share knowledge. We help each other. We do not ask permission. This is what self-reliance is all about. Not being alone, but picking who you rely upon.

I suppose this is why so many of us have ended up here, in spaces like this forum. We are people who quit waiting. We saw that the old paths are overcrowded and the gates are closing. So we began walking through the forest instead. It is harder. There is no map. But at least we are moving.

I used to think that when you come from a wealthy home you don't have to work your ass out for survival believing riches are inherited and you just have to keep spending all that inherited without establishment.
But along the journey I discovered you would go poor if you only have to spend your savings without profit inflows.

I thought when I graduates from the university with a good grade you will not stress to find a job meanwhile... Even the first class degree holders could not secure a job without intermediary official connection.

I thought education was a core profession and skills was for the less privileges but in reality even degree holders had to acquire skills for self employment due to lack of jobs and employments.

Life is just so tough and inevitable where reverse is always the case of the reality.

Freedom without direction may turn to chaos. I have witnessed people escaping out of one trap, and then walking into another. They abandon a bad job and move into a swindle. They reject the system and get lost in their anger. You are correct that there are landmines.

Where maybe we see things a little different is the source. You seek direction from a higher power and I value that very deeply. For me, the guidance matters, is found in the honest relationships, and in the people that have walked the path before, in the learning from failure and paying attention. Maybe these are not so different. Maybe your higher power works through those things as well.

What I do know for sure is this: freedom without community is lonely and dangerous. We agree on that. The people that build real alternatives, they do it together, with some kind of shared values. Whether those values are derived from faith or hard experience, the result is similar looking. People who are looking out for each other. Transparency. Trust built slowly.

Everything you said is right but I think you stopped one step too early. You saw the system is broken. You adapted. You learned skills. You survived. Good. But why stop there?

You said that life is tough and inevitable. I disagree. Because somebody is making it tough life tough on purpose. The fact that rich people write the laws puts them at an advantage. Jobs require connections because companies do not want to train strangers. Degrees are worthless because universities were able to sell them to everybody and employers used that as an excuse to demand more. None of this is natural. None of this is inevitable. It is all constructed.

The moment you realise that the system does not work for you, you have two choices. One: accept the fact of it, and just try to survive inside. Two: quit and stop playing altogether their game, and construct something outside it. You already did number two when you acquired skills for self-employment. But, I believe that you are still thinking like how the system wants you to think. You are still calling it "inevitable" like it is like weather or gravity. It is not. It is people making decisions that will benefit them and harm you.

I am not saying to burn everything down. I am saying stop giving the system legitimacy. Stop pretending that the degree is important. Stop pretending that the law is fair. Stop deluding yourself that hard work is enough. Accept the reality 100% and then grow from there. You already started. I just believe that you can do better.

Basically, nothing will be as easy and beautiful as you think. People won't care, and only you can help you. It's bitter and sad, but that's life. You'll only get there if you're willing to move.
But perhaps some people start from a more accessible position, such as heirs from wealthy backgrounds. They're a step above you, especially in terms of capital, which will make it easier for them to move forward and try. But as long as we're willing to try and move, nothing is impossible.

You are responsible for yourself so you don't expect others to help you. If you can help yourself and start what you can, you will not rely on others because you can do many things. Even you can create vacancies for those who need. Self reliance is needed for all people so they can start helping themselves without waiting for other people's help.

The challenge is that after some of us have joined in criticizing systems that are not favorable to us and in the long run we happen to own a system that we influence, we still make it hard for people that are coming behind by also failing to provide the things we lacked and in the process, the chain continues again and again and again.

having the mentality that you are on your own is a good way to free yourself from unnecessary entitlement but at the same time, we need to also hold certain people that are responsible for solving the problems of the society accountable so they stand up to what they should do and not feel that because everyone will eventually sort himself out that there is no need helping others make life a bit easier for them. life is not designed to be as hard as we are taking it but unfortunately, we have all become really selfish and are actually paying little attention to things that does not benefit us directly.

It takes a lot of effort to process this, than to actually reply to it.
This is obviously dark if you ask me, and it is very difficult for an average person to figure out that he/she is living in that darkness. A lot of people don't even know that they where never part of the script. Just imagine this world like a video game where the majority are like NPCs, i.e Non Player character. We get too occupied with things that are not even real, like the government working for you, or the Academic system putting you in shape for better opportunities that sometimes don't even come, etc.

Entitlement can be the greatest enemy to any man. Failure to put yourself in a better position still makes you a regular NPC. The earlier people start to understand that the society doesn't give a damn about their struggles, the better for them.

Many people including myself feel lost because there's no roadmap what we have to do after finish a college and get a job. I think most people have a difficulty to choose when they have a job based on the degree they took when they were in college.

But, having no roadmap is also good because we can do whatever we want without any limit, we can change our career or build a small business.

I can't agree more with you, slapper, as we are the savior of ourselves, we have to pave our way for ourselves, we choose leaders from ourselves, but we make mistakes when we choose a bad one, as we can be betrayed by such people.

Besides these leaders, we still have to do efforts for ourselves, we can't rely on anyone or the government to do anything for us but if something we can't do for ourselves we must ask the respective authorities to do that for us. In short that is what's happening to the survivors, but I am not saying those who follows and wait for help can't survive but they sometimes left behind as they don't take actions and risk.

It's bitter reality of our society that during our worst time very few people come for help. when you are on your financial crises many relation cut all connection with you. Worlds always with you when you are on the peak of your success or vanish all when you are on the worst phase of your life. In this world everyone is struggling for the better life for the better standard.
No one is here to give you success in your hand. if you want to change your present status so you must work for it yourself.self motivation is a key to get success. Perfect! That is what life is about. Not because we agree or because we would like it worked this way. It's simply about thinking rationally, critically and seeing reality how it is, without masks, disguises or fake speeches by political entities.

You know the game, you know its guidelines, but you also have free will, what means you aren't forced to follow what this world or society tries to impose on you. There are gaps on this game, and Bitcoin has been one of them. And by gaps, I don't mean something shady, criminal or unethical. Actually, the system works and acts in shady, criminal and unethical ways as part of the game.

We do the opposite. We try to survive and thrive by alternative means, while not becoming slaves of the system. One hint for people who are trying to see ahead in jobs market and finances is to avoid the crowds. Nobody ever told me that the government was going to give you a job when growing up - that's some communist style teaching. School was very useful for me, it's meant to lay the foundations in life so you can success later, not telling you all the knowledge in the world. I was always told that you need to carve your own way through the world, so maybe this is a poor reflection on how you were raised or you had a different perception to others. But I'd definitely agree that the sooner you figure out you're on your own, the better. We all come into the world alone and we all leave it alone, but try to bring as much love and joy for the time you're here.

It is a kind of foolishness to think that others will help us and we will move forward with the help of others. This world is a place where if the ground under our feet is not solid, no one will help us. We have to create our own position. No one else will ever create a good position for us. Well, it's something we all learn as we start to get mature and observe things around us. Almost all of us must have had different perceptions about things than they actually turned out, and there is nothing wrong with that because you will only truly understand and know something if you live through it, and that's how we learn most of the things in this world. It's true that we are on our own in this world, and there is no way we are going to get help at any point in life whether it's our academic life, professional life, or personal life; you will need to manage everything yourself, you will have to learn, adapt, and change according to situations because you can't change everything else, so the only option is to change yourself accordingly. This may not be the most suitable quote to buttress your points, but i would still go on and say it: 'if you want something done well, you ought to do it yourself'. There is enough around us that could simply help an individual to just get by. Small job. Meagre salary. Pension savings, etc. However, if you aspire for more, then you have to be a 'creator', you have to be innovative and do something that will lead you into a better quality of life.

It is 'easy' to live the mundane and ordinary life, filled with 'i should haves'. But i believe we owe it to ourselves to push for something far better, that is why one should never stop learning.
