The Austrian authorities are keeping quiet about the amount of money ultimately involved in the torture-robbery-murder. However, it is likely to be a lot of money, as two of the 21-year-old's crypto accounts were emptied after his murder. The two suspects, also Ukrainians (19, 45), were wanted internationally and were caught in their home country last Saturday. They had enormous amounts of money in dollar bills with them. It is suspected that they quickly changed the crypto money into banknotes.

Who knows if the boy was killed just because they know about his crypto wallet or account? I am not asking questions but I am just letting us know that we should hide our coins from people by all means possible.

It could be that possible and who knows?
To frank we need to be careful how we flaunt our investment and crypto holdings outside there because we can't really tell who is with us or against us. Most crypto investors are that naive to point where they could be out of their brain by start showing off their investment online or to friends who doesn't love them and want him. To me I am more of anonymity than being that uncovering in terms of investments and our assets that we are holding. Again, what I didn't get well is how they managed to send out the assets to exchange and traded those asset, and were they being caught through their transaction trading?

Your speculation of the 21 years old boy was killed because they know he has large amount of money in crypto can be accurate, why because according to the source they stated that before the 21 years old boy was killed, that "he was first beaten by a fellow student in the underground parking garage of the Sofitel hotel, then forced into his father's black Mercedes and tortured. Just hours later, he was burned alive while sitting in the back seat of his father's Mercedes Benz".  and after this dude was murdered his crypto wallet was empty. But why is the Australia authority still keeping quiet about this murder? because it is already clear that this dude was murdered, because they discovered the amount his holding in crypto. And this should be a warning to those who still flaunt their cryptocurrency investment online and offline, because you can never know who is  having bad thoughts for you. Keeping our cryptocurrency investment private is the best and the wisest thing to do to avoid becoming a target of thiefs and scammers.

It's quite obvious that they had knowledge about his crypto holdings. Immediately they finish him off, they went straight to his crypto accounts and wiped it clean. He must have given them what they asked for, probably his passwords and then killed just so they could cover their murder tracks. This again is another reason why we should watch how and who we let know about our crypto holdings. Friends can tell a friend, who will tell someone you don't know about. The world isn't a safe place, privacy should be out major priority. People die over many things, but we shouldn't die over our hard earned money. Let's be safe.

This is a good warning sign for those that like to flaunt their assets to the public, I don't know what they are benefiting by intimidating on others about their financial standings in crypto, showing your portfolio to the public could only attract more danger to us than doing any good, if we can have a reason to maintain privacy in cryptocurrency, then taking it with utmost curiosity is very important so that we don't see the other aspect of not maintaining privacy in crypto that might cost us.

Privacy is very important beyond privacy as if your privacy is lost, your identity and other personal information can be known by the public. Consequently some greedy and bad people might put you into their radar for terrible things like physical attacks at different level and the worst one is a death.

I am guessing that this is not a new news since Ukraine is currently in war? Or this happened in another country? The mouth kills faster than the gun like my people used to say, if you know how to keep your mouth shut you have defeated the majority of your problems, because people looking for prey always talk less, they have ears to listen and that's all they need to do.

The victim family traveled to the country the incident happened after the incident happened, that means the boy was killed in another country. The victim father is the deputy mayor of the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv. The victim is a student in Vienna. Vienna is the federal capital territory in Austria. Also it is worth knowing that the news is new.

I don't know if it was mentioned anywhere that the boy ignore privacy in his activities, this could be a job facilitator of people that know the boy since they are from the same country. It could even be that they know the boy in person and that he possess such amount in cryptocurrency which is why they had to eliminate him to cover the crime. It is good that the criminals were apprehended so that they can serve the punishment.

This is not an isolated case; there were reports in the past of kidnapping, robbery, and extortion involving cryptocurrency that made headlines, and what about those that went unreported? These criminals understand that they only need the person's private key to access their coins, making them easy targets.
I hope something like this can be stopped, but only if we are discreet with our holdings. We should also understand the risks associated with it, as well as how to use our coins and trade in the market.

Having so much money is a risk on it own and obviously he was killed because those guys knows about how much he is worth, to me it quite an unfortunate situation and it can happen to any one sometimes we cant be careful enough since we must still have insider with us who we may keep close to us thaz could have sell him out.

I wonder if the perpetrators knew the victim personally, and had some sort of grudge as well. Honestly, for a robbery alone, killing the victim in such a gruesome way was over the top. Then again, there are indeed some sick mofos out there who enjoys violence.

From the article, it seems the victim also came from a wealthy background? he was the son of the vice mayor. Then in some way, the perpetrators found his crypto wealth. Really makes me wonder if they're a lot closer than we think.

Well, it could probably be because they know he’s into crypto through some means and since he’s from a wealthy background just as the news claimed “the son of the deputy mayor of the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv” then it shouldn’t be that hard to tell he would definitely hold some tangible amount even if he doesn’t declare it anywhere. The killing part is brutal though, I hope those guys face some real consequences too.

People have to know if criminal in developed countries also as high as in developing countries.

Pick pocketing is really normal in developed countries, even you report if you lost a wallet to the police, they just don't care what happen to you. The same thing happen to Danylo K., if he got his phone robed, the police don't care. However, since the perpetrators killed him, the police will take this case seriously, they only care when someone lost their life.

This is why being lowkey is very important, it might be about he's nationality, but if he's account is drain, then its about the money, maybe he is being force to give up the credentials, but the people involve don't want him to live because they are afraid he will come back for them, that is why they decided to finish him off, too bad he should have stay quite about crypto for sure they find out that he has lots of money, the suspects get the money and don't want any evidence.

Cases of crypto related kidnaps and murder is on the increase, this is very worrisome and everybody that is holding cryptocurrency especially enormous stash should never go public about it lest they become the next victims. Most times in high caliber crypto heists the criminals are always caught according to what we read online still these criminals will not learn that they can be caught and will pay with their lives if they murdered their victims. If the investigation is done critically, they will end up finding out that the closest friend or neighbor of that guy was involved in this incident because they are the ones that must have been aware about the guy's crypto but if they were not involved in this incident, then the boy must have randomly spilled the information about his crypto by him self not knowing that he just created a problem for himself. I believe the reason behind the 21-year-old tortured and burned is clear, since the victim's crypto wallet was converted into banknotes, which I believe happened when the demise was under duress, when he was captured by the people who burnt him to death.
I think every crypto enthusiast needs to prioritize their privacy and be careful about letting people know they are holding a certain crypto because I'm tired of news of crypto enthusiasts being kidnapped, killed, and attacked due to their holding.
