Who knows if the boy was killed just because they know about his crypto wallet or account? I am not asking questions but I am just letting us know that we should hide our coins from people by all means possible. Privacy is important, let us be careful of people and what we say. If you want to read about it: https://www.krone.at/3975774When you are holding a coin, people are not even suppose to know about it, even your friends are not suppose to know about your holding, because people that are around you which you thinking they are happy for you are not really happy, so you just have to be so careful, your family members are not suppose to know about it also, highest get one person which you know can be reliable a little bit. Some people do come to the social media to flaunt their crypto wallet, they want people to see how much they work, but they don’t know they endangering each others life which is not suppose to allow. When you having huge amount in crypto stage, just make sure you behave like someone that doesn’t even have any money.

Was this the same guy who's also an influencer? Well, influencer or not, we shouldn't flaunt our crypto assets in the public, social media or even with the relatives.
Times are so dangerous that we have to keep it as a secret on how much we're holding and as much as possible, our involvement in crypto.
If you can keep it as a secret, that's the better way of keeping yourself safe from these bad people who have no heart but only looks in the money and amount of crypto the person they know holds.

Well, it could probably be because they know he’s into crypto through some means and since he’s from a wealthy background just as the news claimed “the son of the deputy mayor of the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv” then it shouldn’t be that hard to tell he would definitely hold some tangible amount even if he doesn’t declare it anywhere. The killing part is brutal though, I hope those guys face some real consequences too.
The message still stands anyway… “privacy is important”, learn to keep one.
The two arrested suspects are Ukrainian, which means they might have information about the victims. Emptying all the money in his crypto wallet shows that they know he owns crypto. I also suspect they killed him because he might have recognised his attackers. This could also be politically motivated seeing that the victim's father is a deputy Mayor of a city in Ukraine. Torturing and finally burning him alive shows how wicked humans can be. It's another example of the risk of exposing your financial matters to the public or even friends and family. Financial matters should be private; people could go to great lengths to make money.

It is extremely important to have privacy with crypto and even with your fiat assets I avoid even my closest friends knowing that I have crypto
I don't know if you've been through this, but everyone who finds out you have crypto asks how many coins of BTC you have Assuming you have one or more coins A criminal may think the same thing, and even if you don't have a large amount of crypto, it may seem that way to a layman
Be very careful not to expose yourself, especially on social media, which has a very wide reach and attracts people with bad intentions

I have come to realize that no matter how insecure the world becomes, there are still a lot of people who just can't keep certain things to themselves. They are wealthy, but they still feel that it is important to create awareness by letting others know how wealthy they are, thereby creating unnecessary attention. Personally, I feel one of the best lifestyle anyone can live is a private wealthy life that looks average or normal in the eyes of others, but only you truly knows your financial capability. People don't just rob others and demand for their digital assets without gathering enough information. I don't know if the victim was the famous type, but I just have this feeling that the attackers knew a lot about him. We all just need to take caution.

If you want to read about it: https://www.krone.at/3975774This is a very tragic incident and one that many of us should learn from and the wider crypto space to get acquainted to and try to avoid by all means. The coins that was stolen from this boy was already an exposed disclaimer that shouldn't have been exposed. He is a young man and boys of his age are always wanting to be popular even on social media with the much wealth they’ve gathered overtime not knowing that they’re exposing themselves to more danger. No matter what one should want to achieve in this life, exposing your wealth is a bad idea because you can’t tell who likes you or not and you can’t tell who can also do anything to turn your wealth to his. Many robbery case of crypto theft has happened before but this particular one is very tragic and gruesome, I hope the law take its due course on this heartless murderers.

It seems there are still people who ignore the importance of maintaining privacy, and I suspect there are still many like that. The case the OP mentioned is one example. Privacy is one of the most vital things we must protect in our lives. If we don't, there will be many risks that could occur, whether it is a case of surveillance that could lead to direct (physical) theft, or indirect (hacking). I hope the perpetrator of the crime is soon revealed, and the common threads found at the crime scene should be able to lead to an investigation. By the way, consider storing your crypto like you would any valuable item, meaning you won't tell anyone about it, and try to keep it as safe as possible, so that there won't be another case, or sad news like this in the future.

A few things did catch my attention here, The age gap across the parties,,, 21 and 19 falls well within range to be good friends which gives the idea of, this could have been a friend of the victim while, 45 is at least 2 decades and few years gap between both the victim and younger suspect and what that seems to mean is that, either suspect employs the service of the other. Perhaps the younger got the older guy for the barbaric act or the older guy got the younger guy to help in the tech job. Either way, this sparks a wide reaction on not just how private you keep your seed phrase and private keys but, whom you discuss the cryptocurrency subject with. That’s why it’s not ideal to be all vocal of your holdings on the internet. You never know what you could attract.

This terrible story of confirms biggest danger to crypto owners is being specially targeted with violence and theft, and it is strong lesson to us that we should always hide fact that we are crypto wealth owners. Seen wealth is not only about money, but about survival, unlike money in bank, crypto wallet can be emptied right away by force, and physical danger is straight result of seen wealth, so, privacy is not only about money, but also about survival. So owners should be very careful. They should never show off balances, should always say less than real amount to anyone asking, and should use security systems such as Multi Sig wallets to move large sums, which stop one person from stealing all money at once.

It could be that possible and who knows? To frank we need to be careful how we flaunt our investment and crypto holdings outside there because we can't really tell who is with us or against us. Most crypto investors are that naive to point where they could be out of their brain by start showing off their investment online or to friends who doesn't love them and want him. To me I am more of anonymity than being that uncovering in terms of investments and our assets that we are holding. Again, what I didn't get well is how they managed to send out the assets to exchange and traded those asset, and were they being caught through their transaction trading?
Did the victim flaunt his cryptocurrency earnings online? I heard that he came from a rich family but that still does not excuse for being tortured and killed at the same time. Like what I mentioned in my previous posts, it's definitely recommended to spread the news about cryptocurrencies and share your experience. But when it comes to showing what you earn and the amount of money that you accumulated, you must think twice. There are people who can commit these crimes easily. Even if our purpose is to help others to join the adventure in crypto, your safety still remains your top priority in all cases. I do think there was also a post before that another person was killed due to links of him being rich in cryptocurrency. I mean, these news are devastating and heartbreaking and I just hope that the government would bring justice to their families for this horrific crypto-related incident.

The world is getting scarier every day. Greed is on the increase and people want to reap where they did not sow. The keyword is on privacy as much as you can do not trust anyone with your key information. If you have cryptocurrencies, keep it private. There are as much bad people than ever before. Aside online security, we must also improve on our personal security, home, family and what have you. Lastly, criminals will always get caught and will pay for their crimes.

I agree with you bro, because anything can happen anytime, ones with a lot of money should never tell anyone how much they have because they are just taking risks. I don't have much but I still have never has told anyone what I have haha. I mean if we have really that much money, which you did not mention by the way, then why will we make it public, if we are not influencers, even influencers are not sharing how much they have. They take precautions because they also do not trust their viewers haha. Life is precious and I hope the culprits will be caught and given sentences accordingly.

The politician's son lives in another country and displays a very wealthy lifestyle for a 21-year-old. If he had earned this money himself, he would understand perfectly well that he shouldn't flaunt his wealth publicly, much less tell anyone about his crypto wallets. Such stories happen often, but not all of them are written about in the news.

Such are promising youth lost his life to attackers this time. I believe this was a preplanned attack on him, because how did the attackers know he had such a huge amount of money in crypto assets? How did they know his exact location to be able to launch an attack on him? There definitely would be someone who is trailing him and giving out information about him to the attackers to be able to do their job.
Who knows how they got to know about his crypto assets knowledge? Maybe a close friend of his might have set him up without the thought of him losing his life, but look at what happened to him; they killed him and also absconded with his assets. I believe there would be some security cameras around the major roads in the country where he was killed. The police should launch an investigation into this matter and unravel the killers of this young boy.
This should also serve as a lesson to the general crypto community to prioritize their safety and privacy as well, because you never can tell who is who, even your friends, too, could betray you. So we ought to be very careful and alert, and also remain anonymous in the crypto world.

The point is whether the boy was killed because his crypto wallet was known by people or not. It is always better that we value our privacy. It is very important not to expose our wallets, because an attack can come in many ways just because of the money you have.I have seen many stories like this before people have been attacked because their wallets were exposed. Some were able to escape, but they lost their crypto; and some attacks were attempts to hack them.
So let understand that exposing our wallets is a very bad idea, because we can easily be traced and attacked. And if that happens, we all know what comes next: it’s easy for them to move the funds and possibly even kill the person. So, whether someone loses people or not, we should try by all means to avoid talking about our wallet.

My speculation on his death is as a result of identifying the criminals, he knew them physically and in an attempt to cover their tracks, they made sure to kill him so he wouldn't reveal their identities to the authorities. They knew the guy and during enormous torture the guy gave away his wallet credentials which enabled them have access to all his assets. The kidnapping and murder may have a bigger support which is made obvious by their cashing out enormous amounts, doing so through the bank would raise eyebrows, but I believe there is a bigger player or sponsor who took the electronic money transfer and handed them cash.

These are different cases, but if this happens to an ordinary person, their case won't even make the news. 18 kidnappings a year isn't that many, but no one knows the real number of crimes because the police don't find many of the people afterwards.

If I may ask, do the victims hold their assets with any local exchange? Because this, I believe, could likely be the cause of the kidnappings, with the possibility of an insider leaking information about holders on their platforms. Although it could also be a result of the carelessness of the victims to likely flaunt their assets in public, or they must have told a close friend about their holdings, which must have triggered all these attacks on them. As crypto enthusiasts, we should try as much as possible to keep our crypto assets a secret to ourselves, as no one can be trusted. Any silly mistake might cost us an attack, which might likely also cause harm to us, because if they attack, they would likely want to also kill their victim, because they would have a trace to who they have told about their asset holdings, so we ought to be very careful how we relate to people about our crypto involvement.
