How staking power can affect your winning rate.

In the arena of gambling, staking power plays a crutical role. Many gamblers, more especially in sports betting have low staking power, they anticipate big profit with little staking power, this type of gambler believes in accummulating plenty of games and odds expecting winning and most times, they can even gamble throughout a whole season and will never record one win. There are other set of  gamblers who prioritize winning, though they don't win all the time but records more winning than losses. They gamble on few games and boost their staking power, they do not attach greed in their betting life style and therefore record more winning than losses.

Staking power has little or no effect on your winning probability, no game is a sure bet, any game can win and same with loss. I'll tell you from experience, when you approach betting with high stakes alone, the possibility of losing more is high,

Let's say for example:
You stake on 1.50 odds with $1k and win $1500 which means your profit is $500 and next time you stake same amount on let's say 2 odds with the intention of winning $2000 and you lose it, immediately you're down by $500 and if you continue with this pattern and end up losing more than you win, then my friend your finances would really take a big hit.

I love approaching gambling with low stakes and limited games, the aim is to have fun and try hitting wins that would add up to something nice, it's not a source of income and I also think of the effect of losing more than I can afford which makes me keep it in check.

My take is every bettor should go with what works for them.

I have also seen few bettors who don't gamble regularly; what they do is wait till the ending period of every season, and they gather money to stake on finals. Sometimes they win; the majority of the time, they lose.

I also have the set of bettors, which can go for a single game but with 2 odds and above and place a little high amount; sometimes they win, but the majority of the time they also end up losing.

The same thing is also applicable with those who attach different games together; they sometimes become too greedy, but some of them are just moderate. They go with what they have and try to raise the potential winning amount to what they want by adding as many games they trust as possible; some of them still win, but most of them still lose.

The only difference is the more games you add to your ticket, the more you are reducing the chances of winning that ticket.

I made net profit last year in gambling. I am gambling in a responsible manner which helped last year. But this year is different, despite that I stayed responsible, I am losing in gambling this year. I think I am losing more than $70 buy now. But luckily I am using small amount of money to bet. There is no one approach to define gambling profitably, it is so much hard to gamble profitably.

What is your take on this?

I think the one with the higher staking power is the one taking the most risk. This is because even with your staking power, wins are not guaranteed, you could still end up losing several times in a row, and you’ll find out that you’ll be more affected by the losses than one who only uses a smaller amount to stake, even when it appears that their chances are lower, their risks are always pretty much lower to. Even if they lose multiple rounds, they won’t be affected that much by the losses because they are only gambling very little amount of money. Yes they don’t win that much, but whenever they do, it’d be worth the while. And honestly, I think this is the safest way to approach gambling.
