Being a gambling addict doesn’t depend on how many sites you’ve registered on. Even if it’s just one, you can still be called a gambling addict. Sometimes, it’s not even about the amount you’re using. Let’s say you belong to the lower class and $10 means a lot to you, yet you still go beyond what you can afford to lose and you keep on doing it, that’s already a sign of being addicted to gambling. If you are financially and emotionally invested, that’s also another sign.

You just keep getting drawn to it and you just can’t help the situation.

Also, people register on several casinos partly because, they have offers that do interest them and partly because they have markets that are lacking in other casinos. Those too doesn’t make such individuals an addict.

I can register on 100 gambling sites and only gamble for 1-2 casino(s), what do you think? am I a gambling addict? the answer isn't yes or no, but it depends on myself. Even I'm just gambling on few sites, it doesn't mean I'm not an addict because we can call someone an addict if they gamble too much or disturb their daily activities.

Someone earn $500 per month, register on 5 gambling sites and only gamble on 2 casinos, they spent $400 per month for gambling = an addict.

I wonder what a gambler that claims not to be addicted registers on 10 different gambling sites and I have a theory on this, in most cases these gamblers have such number of accounts on different sites because when they lose huge amounts of money they block their bet account on a particular sports book, then after they must must have relapsed they open a new bet account to start gambling again

Being a member of a different platform does not directly mean he is a gambling addict.  There may be a reason why he registers on lots of platforms, it is possible that he is hunting promotions and other bonuses that he can take advantage of.

Gambling addiction is defined by the control, as long as the person is in control of his gambling activities, being a member of even 100 platforms can't support the idea that he is addicted to gambling.

Not really, but being an addict can actually make you have up to that amount… Imo the only reason someone would register more than 2 or 3 gambling sites is because of some features or the availability of games that might not be on the other casino. For some, it could be deposit and withdrawal options.

Using a single casino for gambling doesn’t mean the person can’t be an addict. The whole point is just to prove that 8 accounts doesn’t necessarily mean you are an addict.

I don't think so. I can have accounts with ten casinos and only use one to gamble. Some gamblers love to try other gambling sites to see which one has what they are looking for in a casino. Addiction isn't about going to the casino but reckless gambling practices.

For different reasons we all have accounts in casinos whose names we can no longer remember; we register to test something sometimes, and after that we just abandon it and go back to the regular one which we are used to and comfortable with their service.

I think if you have been spending a lot of hours in a casino, it's a sign that you're about to get addicted or you're already addicted. Because when we do things that consumes too much of our times, that only means that it's excess and abnormal already. And when someone does that, it's an abnormal way of spending time when they do that. Thus, that's a sign of being a gambling addict. The number of sites registered and the number of hours spent are two different things, don't be confused that they're just the same because I also think that the number of sites doesn't define someone if they're addicted or not.

In my opinion, it could be, or it could be, because we don't know how everyone thinks. And we can't judge or guarantee that someone with accounts on multiple sites is addicted in fact, it could be the opposite.

So, in my opinion, even if someone has multiple accounts registered on this site, it doesn't necessarily mean they're addicted, and conversely, even someone with just one account doesn't necessarily mean they're not addicted.

Perhaps we can determine whether a player is addicted or not by their behavior when gambling, whether they can accept losses, whether they gamble with a clear goal of winning, and whether they experience uncontrolled emotions, such as easily getting angry over even trivial matters. This could be a sign of addiction, but it's not necessarily true, as they could be stressed by pressures outside of gambling, making them easily angered.

There are various reasons why someone can register on different gambling site. Some site offers higher odds, easy withdrawal of funds, easy to use, bonuses etc, and sometimes these qualities might not be found in one site , making a gambler to register on different gambling sites. Sometimes a particular site can also be having network issues to access, and when you are registered on different gambling site, you can quickly switch over to a different one.

There are also some gambling sites that uses cryptocurrency, while others uses fiat currency and a gambler can decide to be using this platforms interchangeably or simultaneously for some reasons. Is also possible that a gambler can have multiple gambling platform and does not make use of all. Different gambling site could offer different qualities and could be the reason for site diversification.

Registering on a multiple gambling site doesn't mean the person is addicted to gambling. There are people who do register on different gambling site because they want to know or test those gambling platform to know the gambling platform that will be best for them to stick with. It doesn't mean they are being addicted to gambling. Some person may not be making use of all the gambling sites or platform that they are registered in. It is only when they are gambling in all these platforms that is when they are to be considered an addict.

I do not think this can be considered a sign of addiction because you can be addicted even without online casinos. You can simply play in offline casinos, or be registered in just one casino, and that alone would be enough for a player to lose all their money. Besides, I have not seen any online casino where you can play on credit or anything like that, so I do not see the point in registering in so many casinos.

Many people do this because they think they can beat the system which is total bullshit if you ask me.

Nothing is going to change just because you got slightly bigger odds. When days where you could run arbitrage bots are long gone. Now so many people try this that they're absolutely easy to detect and the odds are leveled in seconds even after that. It's a very aged practice.

Registering on a multiple gambling site doesn't mean the person is addicted to gambling. There are people who do register on different gambling site because they want to know or test those gambling platform to know the gambling platform that will be best for them to stick with. It doesn't mean they are being addicted to gambling. Some person may not be making use of all the gambling sites or platform that they are registered in. It is only when they are gambling in all these platforms that is when they are to be considered an addict.

Registering accounts on more than 8 gambling platforms is not a sign of addiction, if you see someone that has up to that number of accounts on different betting sites, you can politely ask the person what is their reason for doing that. Some persons do not have different accounts because they are addicted but because they are exploring the different site because of bonus, max bet, winning rate, speed and more other futures that makes them continue trying different casinos.

For a case I know, the person had different accounts on many casino website because he does reviews about those platforms and he also test them to know what to present to people.

Addiction doesn't work with having multiple accounts, it's a matter of seeing gambling as a source of income or as a job. There are so many gamblers here that have different gambling sites, but they are still gambling responsibly without getting addicted. However, over confidence and greed is the main thing that normally causes many addiction because there are gamblers that doesn't know when to stop when gambling, so having 8-10 gambling sites or more than that can not do a responsible gambler anything.

I think it's okay to have more than 1 account depending on what you (the gambler) want and also depending on the issues you are facing with the previous casinos you registered on. Few times on this forum, I have seen thread where some members were complaining on how they have been limited from staking with a certain amount, while someone just recently said they were banned, and another thread too which was asking about the sportbook that have better odds, all of these are reasons why someone can have about 10 accounts, the person might not be addicted but he is just more serious with gambling than you can imagine.

Yeah, most of them require the participants to submit their account names, so they have to create an account. Some casinos also ask to login if we want to explore their site. Having many accounts seems to be normal these days, at least if they don't got our money, they got our data.

It would be a different discussion if @OP ask about someone is active on 8-10 gambling sites regularly.
