In my opinion, the number of registered gambling sites isn't the only factor that determines gambling addiction. While there are many registered gambling sites, that doesn't mean gamblers use them all. Most gamblers prefer to have a few sites that suit their needs and preferences, and that they can visit regularly when they want to gamble.
Honestly, I've registered with many gambling sites, especially ones I've previously joined or are currently involved in campaigns, and I still use them to this day. I've also abandoned most sites because I no longer visit them, and it was all just to see if they were a good fit for me after I'd made a few deposits. And I don't feel addicted, because I only gamble when I feel like it, especially on weekends. And I think those who don't gamble frequently still want the best gambling site that suits their needs when playing. So, trying many gambling sites doesn't mean they're addicted; they're just trying to find the best one.

yes you are absolutely correct the fact that a gambler is registered on several gambling platforms doesn't mean they are addicted. The reason while most gambler do register on different gambling platforms is to review the service of those gambling platforms and then compare and contrast to know the one that they will consider good for them to be gambling with.

If someone has registered on 8-10 gambling sites , is he a gambling addict ? I mean if someone is using just one website, it is obvious that he is casually doing this. But if someone is registered on 8-10 websites, is it a sign that he is a gambling addict ?

That someone registered from 8-10 gambling sites doesn't mean he is an addict to gambling, let me use myself as a case study. I have over 5 different betting apps yet I'm not a gamble addict, I play games once in a while and whenever I'm on a loosing streak I take a break from gambling for the time been and start all over again when have fully gained from my losses so in this case you can't call me an addict because I have several betting websites that I'm registered with.

Most at times the reason why you see most gamblers register up to that number of websites is because they want to compare and contrast the odds on each of the websites and see the one that has better odds so they can be betting on the one that is better and has bigger odds and bonuses so it don't mean they are gamble addicts, someone can equally have just one website and be an addict, it's just the mindset of the person involved.

We cannot yet say that a gambler is an addicted gambler just because they have many gambling accounts. Some gamblers also like to explore and enjoy new casinos that have bonus promotions, or the gambler actually has issues with previous casinos that made them uncomfortable, leading them to create a new account at a new casino. Basically, most gamblers are satisfied with just one gambling site that gives them a sense of comfort and fairness. In this way, gamblers don't actually need many casinos. But that doesn't mean having multiple casino accounts makes a gambler a gambling addict.

He's not addicted, I've registered on many more sites, I don't even know how many, It's just that as a player, you have favorite casinos Now, if a player registers on 8 sites and plays on all of them every day, then I would seriously consider the possibility that he might be developing an addiction.

That's true, I think so too. If one is actually gambling in all the casino at once on daily basis, then it's actually a sign that the person might be addicted or still developing it. While it is possible to have that much accounts, it's not possible to gamble in all at once if the person is not so dedicated to gambling. That's why thought.

Having so many accounts on gambling sites doesn’t make you an addict, you might have account in so many gambling sites, and you might not really be using all of them. Don’t be surprise that some people might just decide to create accounts in different gambling sites just to make comparison, and they just going to pick one or two which they going to be using.

Don’t be surprise that someone might be making use of just one gambling site, and the person will be addicted to gambling. The person might be using one gambling site, but will be gambling heavily on the gambling site, you don’t need to have multiple accounts before you will get addicted.

The addiction can only be seen from how much he plays, if he signs up for 8-10 gambling sites, it can only be to find which site offers the best bonuses, and it is not an addiction. It's different story if he signs up on more sites, but on each site he deposits some money, and then plays it constantly, and without limits, even when he has experienced big losses, it can only be said as an addiction that he has lost control of himself and playing on more sites just to find a way to win.

He is addicted to new account opening bonuses is more likely Cheesy     I'm sure over the years I've registered on that many and just because I gambled a few years it doesnt have to mean I accumulated any particular problem or requirement to gamble.
Not every registration will result in a highly used account, some times a particular site has a game others dont.  Other reasons might be I might diversify is like when fees were high and some sites were easier to use then the others only bound to BTC, thats definitely been a thing.
Good point, soel gamblers open multiple accounts not because of any other reason asides from claiming bonuses...other reasons might hust be gamblers making comparisons, mostly those that are addicted only make use of a single Casino..The only way you can say that a gambler that has registered of 8 to 10 gambling sites is addicted is if he opens new accounts after blocking previous ones

From this, I conclude that someone can be considered addicted if they gamble frequently, for example, every day. Someone who only has an account registered with one casino but gambles daily is a sign of addiction. It makes sense that it depends on how often they gamble rather than having more than one account.
However, I'm not so sure anyone has only one account registered with a casino. It's more likely that someone who is familiar with gambling has more than one.

If someone has registered on 8-10 gambling sites , is he a gambling addict ? I mean if someone is using just one website, it is obvious that he is casually doing this. But if someone is registered on 8-10 websites, is it a sign that he is a gambling addict ?

I don't think someone who's registered on multiple gambling sites is addicted. This is because they're likely a bonus hunter or trying to somehow cheat the welcome bonus system, and therefore are unlikely to have any gambling problems. Unlike someone who might only be registered on one site, they'll lose all their money there and spend all their free time thinking about how to win. This is truly an abnormal state for a person.
And when I was gambling, I always listened to myself to prevent this from happening within my emotions.

In this case gambling addiction may or may not be possible. Because I myself have been creating accounts on several casino sites. And try to have fun by depositing a small amount of money in the casino for fun. But if a gambler uses all the time and too much money. Whether it is a single casino or multiple casinos, chances are high that they will become addicted. By doing this, it will be seen that his interest in gambling will always increase and he will be on the side of the casino for no reason. Usually, if such a phenomenon is seen, it can be understood that he is becoming addicted to gambling. Moreover, even if the gambler loses a lot of money, he is still interested in gambling. So it can be said that he may not be addicted to gambling despite having accounts on different casino sides.

We're just too judgmental if we say that a gambler is an addict already. It was not the way we judge someone, and addiction is not how many casinos we visit and play but purely the way we gamble. The only person who can tell if that gambler has fallen into addiction already is themselves.
I believe we're wrong about this. Every gambler has the right to choose which casinos they would like to play at. Maybe it is not necessary to register 10 different sites to find the best casino, but somehow, it is not impossible to do so.

Registering on more than eight gambling or betting sites does not automatically mean someone is a gambling addict. There are many practical reasons why a person might have accounts on several platforms. For example, odds often differ from one site to another, and people naturally choose the platform that offers better value for a particular game. Some betting sites also post special games, promotions, or exclusive deals that may not be available elsewhere.
In addition, many people are members of betting groups where tips and betting codes are shared. These codes usually come from different betting platforms, so to be able to use them, individuals register on multiple sites. This is done more out of convenience and opportunity than addiction.

Someone having multiple betting accounts does not mean that he or she is addicted,it is just a choice. Having many accounts can be for different reasons. For example, someone may register multiple accounts because of the bonuses they can get from different betting sites, while some people register because they have not found their desired betting site. Therefore, having many betting accounts is not proof that a person is addicted. For example, in forums, when people join campaigns, some of these campaigns require them to open an account with a specific site. Even me, I have more than 12 gambling accounts, and I am very sure that I am not addicted to gaming. On the other hand, someone can have just one account and still be an addicted person.

yes you are absolutely correct the fact that a gambler is registered on several gambling platforms doesn't mean they are addicted. The reason while most gambler do register on different gambling platforms is to review the service of those gambling platforms and then compare and contrast to know the one that they will consider good for them to be gambling with.

Why should you continue searching if you've supposedly found a service that suits you? I think the reason is that many gamblers chase bonuses and all sorts of promotions, even if they're not professional bonus hunters. It's logical that playing with a bonus is more enjoyable than without. I don't chase bonuses, but because I constantly play in pools (here on the forum), I'm probably registered at 5-8 casinos. And of course I don't think I have an addiction  Grin

I also think that the number of casino registrations has nothing to do with gambling addiction, because even in one casino you can lose everything. But on the other hand, if a person does not have a gambling addiction, it may seem strange that a player registers at so many casinos. Still, everyone has different quirks. Maybe the player simply wants to test different casinos and choose the one where they like the service the most.

It's not even possible for that to happen. I mean moving from one casino to another every single day unless the person don't have work to do that very day or indeed is already addicted to gambling, which could be the only reason why they are moving from one place to the other.
If we just judge by the number of casinos they are registered at, then I will say we are wrong, but if they are registered at different casinos and use them all at the same time on the same day, what do you consider that kind of gambler to be if not someone who is desperate and wants to win something by all means, which could be a reason that leads them to trying different casinos? I don't agree with only a gambler being able to detect if they are addicted or not; sometimes a gambler can still feel like they are moderate, but those who are close to them can clearly see the difference.

The reason while most gambler do register on different gambling platforms is to review the service of those gambling platforms and then compare and contrast to know the one that they will consider good for them to be gambling with.

I can't quite grasp the logic of saying someone is already addicted to gambling just because they signed up for multiple accounts. How about if it's an individual's very first time playing gambling online, and they haven’t even experienced winning yet does that mean they’re already addicted? That reasoning seems very shallow and premature to use multi-accounting on a casino gambling site as the basis for calling someone an addict.

From what I know, a real gambling addict is someone who gambles frequently, spends large amounts of money on gambling, chases losses while gambling, starts selling personal belongings just to keep gambling, and most importantly, borrows large sums of money just to keep playing. These, in my opinion, are the true characteristics of a gambling addict.

But if someone is registered on 8-10 websites, is it a sign that he is a gambling addict ?
Registering on multiple gambling sites doesn't necessarily mean they're a gambling addict. We can't judge everyone based on such statements. Indeed, if we see someone who doesn't play enough on one site, we might easily assume they're an addict.
But I don't think so. Perhaps by registering on multiple sites, someone is simply comparing them and isn't yet an addict. Perhaps they're simply undecided on which site to stick with. After all, each site offers different games.
That could be the reason.
