At times we fans are very funny and never forget to put up some already established reasons to justify our teams lost at all times. For example, if Manchester united or Chelsea loses any game, fans always cover there shame with useless excuses gotten from teams history instead of stating the obvious or the analyzed reasons for there teams failure. After Chelsea lost there game yesterday against leeds united yesterday, there fans instead of looking critically into the reasons for there failure they where focused on they number of big teams they have won this season.
They're biased fans and not a true football lovers. I might support my club but at the same time, I do lash them whenever, they mess up the game. I don't support my club for their failures and die in silence of their poor performance. However, as a real fan you need to be by the side of your club in their good and bad times.

I think Manchester United and Chelsea fans are mature, they can accept the lose.

But, this doesn't work for Barcelona fans, they will blame Real Madrid for bribe the referees or they will discuss about Messi, I mean Messi already left the team, yet the fans are still like to discuss the players that no longer play with them anymore.

Barcelona fans are the most stubborn, so beware of them.
Noted lol. In my opinion the league that has it the worst has to be Serie A. I read online that there is a gang-like group of fans in Italy called Ultras. Reports say most times the players have to answer to the head Ultra explaining why the team lost the game, and if they don’t, the Ultras can block the stadium exits and stop the players from leaving. It’s crazy.

football is not only game, it’s also emotion, people’s supporting and love to different club,
some specific club fans are too crazy, and some of the club fans are too mature, they have intention to accept lose in their favorite team,
they are not depend their team blindly, they discussion and try to find what's the reason for the failure,
personally i am fan of Brazil, when my team is lose in the game, argentinian fan's celebrating with crazy and some fans shows their behaviour abnormally.

True fans will defend their favorite team always and under any circumstances, even when it is clear to the world that the team is doing poorly.
Yeah, that sounds right but it is completely wrong. A real fan will try to be objective when it comes to defending their team. What you are saying here is very similar to those parents that say their son was a good kid even after he murdered several people. Fuck such cancerous individuals, their son was pure evil and that must be acknowledged. Similarly, if a team has performed terribly for whatever reasons that they have going on right now -- this must be acknowledge. Loyalty to someone does not require such delusions, where people lie and blame other aspects such as the referees.

Behavior varies from person to person; the only thing fans have in common is apologizing when things go wrong. Smiley
You could not be more wrong. It is as if you have never met a real fan in your life.

Some fans go hostile against their teams after a losing streak though. They think if the current management leaves everything will get better. And they might be right about it but they also tend to become vulgar and violent while showing their displeasure. That part is not OK.
Proper criticism is good, hostility is not. Such individuals are practically apes. Unfortunately the junk system called democracy forces us to deal with all kinds of degeneracy and incorrect behavior. In a better system, such individuals would be quickly removed from society. There would be no brawls, injuries, wounded people. Peaceful and joyous behavior is possible, even when you are on the losing side. Most people simply have not evolved to that state yet, they are practically beasts dressed in clothes.

It's always like that, it's normal, it's not easy for us to lower our ego by admitting that our favourite club is not better than the club that defeated it. At this moment, we will often see arguments or debates between fans about moments in the match, such as key players who did not play due to injury, which will certainly affect the squad's performance. The bottom line is, "the winners celebrate, the losers explain", something that will always be the case.

Yeah, the true fans of a team never let down their team to others. Even if the team's performance is zero, they still defend their team and their favorite players. This is just their pure love for their teams but they won't accept defeat. They may yell at their players for bad performance, but when they are arguing with opposing team fans, they start acting biased and defend their teams with everything that makes sense and can defend the team. So yeah, it's a good part of sports, and both fans know their teams well but don't let down their teams to others..

I totally agree with you, they are not true fans who can accept what happened with an open heart, even though they should accept criticism with an open mind, which means they should reveal some of the weaknesses of the team they support, and even if they want to make excuses, they should be accompanied by reasons that are appropriate to the current situation, instead of bringing up "The team history in the past".

Well, I am not one of those people who support a team with fanaticism, if the team I support loses, then I accept it as criticism. Personally, since a long time I have only idolized one person personality in soccer, and that is Cristiano Ronaldo. I like his perseverance, whether it is when playing as a soccer player, or when he diligently lives his life with a diligent and disciplined life. When he is in a bad period when playing soccer, then I will accept criticism, and also respond to it fairly, without looking for reasons which is feel cliché.

It's true that Winners often talk with pride it's natural, when our favorite teams lose, the supporters of the opposing team will say all sorts of things and celebrate because it's their time. And when we win, we say all sorts of things to the opposing team's supporters, that's when our chance comes, we celebrate the time. It will continue, it will never stop, I think that's the main excitement of the game, through this excitement, the supporters enjoy the entertainment.

This thread reminds me to the historical defeat of Brazil before Germany, back in the 2014 world cup, Brazil ended up losing 7-1 to Germany. The immediate reaction of many Brazilian people was to take their rage to the street and commit actual acts of vandalism: burning vehicles, looting stores, cause physical harm to member of law enforcement. That is completely the opposite thing they were supposed to do.

I am glad I was able to witness such important moment of football history, live from yhe comfort of my home.

It was a world cup, so citizens were upset because their country lost the game badly, such rage can also be exhibited by fan of all football Leagues but I don't think it can get to that situation of wanting to vandalize things (the way it made the citizens to do), although some tip league fans can go extreme but not to the extent they will start burning down vehicles or other properties. They can shout and argue among themselves and would not agree with anyone that their team fucked up, but they will hardly destroy other people's properties, unless a crazy person.

It is surely a sore loss to the national identity of a country when a state loses a major tournament, yet, it is no excuse to commit arson and property destruction. It is important to differentiate between loyal support and barbarity which destroys the order of the people in need of releasing the frustration of peevishness. Cognitive maturity towards the acceptance of the result of a game is an indicator of the level of a fan group to communicate with others. We should also put rationality first so that we remain in a healthy competition without compromising the environmental environment where we reside.

That's what fanatic fans are like. No matter what happens, they'll still support their club passionately.
When they win, they'll celebrate as enthusiastically as possible, even taunting the opposing team. But when they lose, they'll explain to everyone and always make excuses about their past achievements. Well, that's no different from die-hard fans of a particular club.

When it comes to betting, I actually think it's quite reasonable to not always side with a club. We can actually differentiate between non-fans and those who bet. Fans are loyal, but betting is a different matter because it involves money. So, if our club seems to have a smaller chance of winning, if we don't bet on them, it doesn't mean we are traitors, we are just taking advantage of the opportunity specifically for betting.

This is football fan culture at its core, winning teams get praised losing teams get defended no matter how bad they play, bringing up past wins after a loss is pointless, what matters is what went wrong in that match not what happened years ago.

focused on they number of big teams they have won this season.
You are describing this as something that is a good thing or something that has to be, neither of which is true. There is no room for bias, and whoever becomes defensive in such a biased way can be dismissed. He or she is neither a true fan, nor a developed human being. Only those that retain their objectivity during such conflicts are candidates for true fans. True fans do not create delusions about the state of things, they face the things head on regardless of how bad they are. Whether privately or publicly, this behavior must be consistent.

If we did a proper psychological analysis of the people involved, we could probably conclude that this is a sign of immaturity i.e. undeveloped humans. If you think about it, this is exactly how little children behave until they are taught properly. Some will aggressively fight the situation (in this case the fans of the other team or people who confront them on the loss), otherwise will throw a tantrum (in this case hating or even abandoning the team). The more I investigate these topics, the more clear it is to me that only a very small subset of the population has made any development in maturity. Generally the concept of being a fan of something is also indicative of underdevelopment. Not that all fans and all types of fan-ship are the same, we could rank them depending on many things.

Personally, I may like certain clubs and teams, but when it comes to betting, I simply won't get attached to a team, even one I like or favor, because it's about money that I could lose or win a lot of, which could even change my life completely. This doesn't mean I prioritize money over an interesting game; I just don't want to confuse the two. If there's a really interesting game, I might not even place a bet and just watch the game without a bet for the thrill of it. I'll only place a bet if I see an advantage.

I think it's quite normal for the average person to justify any loss committed by their favored team because that is human nature- meaning our initial reaction would be to justify the mistake even if it's sounds to good to be true.

Instead of taking the blame and accepting the defeat, humans would most often justify their wrongdoings and faults by blaming others. While this kind of trait may seem normal, still, it must not be countenanced nor practiced.

football is not only game, it’s also emotion, people’s supporting and love to different club,
some specific club fans are too crazy, and some of the club fans are too mature, they have intention to accept lose in their favorite team,
they are not depend their team blindly, they discussion and try to find what's the reason for the failure,
personally i am fan of Brazil, when my team is lose in the game, argentinian fan's celebrating with crazy and some fans shows their behaviour abnormally.

As we all know, some fans tend to be very fanatical than others given that they have a sense of pride on a certain team. Others may seem to care because they have a standing bet against such team which also explains on why emotions are always high.

A lot of football fans can be very hypocritical(don't mean to be offensive), and that's why I prefer not to involve myself in certain football discussions since I'm aware that bias always take control of the majority. In as much as football or supporting a particular team can come with a lot of emotions, I still feel that people should be able to speak from facts and accept reality. These same fans clearly know that justifying the loss of the team they support doesn't guarantee them whatever title that they're competing for, but just for the sake of satisfying their emotions so as not to be hurt, they start looking for excuses.

The thing is, such hypocritical actions will continue as long as football exists. To them, it is the best way of keeping their emotions intact even if it demands putting reality and facts aside.

The hypocritical behaviour of fans is never supposed to be a reason why you will give up on the love you have for soccer as you should have known those are the things that makes football so entertaining.  I can never forget the behaviour of Manchester united fans when maguire was a disaster to the team, his situation was used as a case study when a senator of this African country called Nigeria as he compares the actions of there government to that of Maguire who always helps opponents score a goal when ever they can't score.  But after gaining consistency, that same case study becomes a player considered favourite by the fans at last, so that behaviour is normal in the lifes of fans that should not make you lose interest in what you love.

Well, thats the result of football really, you yourself just said that alot of emotions usually is involved in football, when a team wins a match, their fans are always very happy, this happiness can be displayed in any form and for some people, the only thing that usually remains is for them to go naked and run around the streets in the name of celebration their favorite teams win, this is how crazy some people can really be but in the end, it's the joy and happiness that matters though.

I believe everybody around the world has that liberty to support their favorite club in the way they deem it fit so long as what they do or display doesn't go against the law and possibly harm or put supporter of other clubs or some random persons in danger.
Like for example, some people go as far as getting into a fight with supporters of other football clubs for some reasons or the other, though this can sometimes be as a result of bet related issues, but sometimes, it's often from arguments of who wins and who doesn't and why.

What I think is that this is common among all fans; if they can find things they can do to offend , that's just how it is with that fandom and that rivalry that characterizes them Whenever they find a flaw or vulnerability, they'll start attacking it They simply believe that by making the rival feel bad they're going to gain something It's better to have quality discussions where the rivalry exists but with fair arguments about the sport.
