Will it be Vertcoin, Darkcoin, Hirocoin or maybe Quark?

Scrypt-n could become unprofitable for gpus if difficulty rises.

Don't know much about Quark, heard some people mentioning it though, any info?

IMO X11 looks like the most likely choice (Darkcoin,Hirocoin). What do you think? Leave your opinions below.

Its already cPoW anything with a mix of algos and a random function .

This is likely the final evolution , SIF was the first Quark popularized it.

It will be fun to see a monopoly try to push against the free market.

Scrypt is going to be monopolized by ASIC's by the current outlook. We'll see how the AMD HBM(High Bandwidth Memory) technology pans out, if that can keep GPU's relevant in Scrypt Mining.

Scrypt-N is promising, but have to see what will happen when the N-Factor is super high.

I feel that Scrypt-N, X11, Quark, XPM, HVY and a few other might actually do well in the future. Innovation and evolution is truly needed in this crypto world.

How is scrypt gone?  If you retards would notice, scrypt-n isn't dominating coinwarz by any means.  Go on and blame the gridseeds, the only real "scrypt asic" on the market, which delivers the same k-hash/$ as an R270.

Alts in general are tanking.

Ah , gridseeds need to price adjust to around $30 per.

Another thing if ORSoc are making to chip, it will probably be Q2.

You sound like a gridseed bagholder?

Guess civility and humbleness aren't a priority for you, nice with the insults first mentality.

True, I'll agree with you with the ALT's having a down turn for a good while. But, at any time, they can jump. Cryptos are like the stocks in the stock market and are very volatile, most people don't understand that ideology aspect of it. Stocks work off of company performance and speculation. Cryptos work off of technology/innovation, dev/community support and speculation.

KNC is a legit company as far as making the hardware, but shipping dates are always delayed. Rumors of them and others(BFL, etc.) mining before shipping items out to maximize profits, but those are rumors and not backed up by any facts at the moment.

Gridseed returns take nearly 3 quarters of the year to a year at the current rates, just to break even. If they were in the $75 to $140 range, they would be decently profitable and fairly priced.

What is ORSoc creating? Will it out perform Gridspeed? Any links please?

Yup, 1440 licenses to be sold initially at 65 XPM each per GPU. But it's for only solo mining at the moment.

The reason that guy would be abusive is that he either just purchased a bunch or gridseeds or is a reseller.

Gridseeds are about to be the new blockeruptors but with the shortest shelf life in history.

If they can be effectively copied and made at around the price point you stated or just sub 100 then that's fine, and anyone with a future interest in scrypt should hope for that.

The reason I put forth harsh words is because this ASIC FUD is relentless and baseless at the same time (for now, we'll see if KNC delivers).  Can people point to spikes in overall scrypt hash to back up any of this?

Disclosure:  I don't own any gridseeds, just an R270x and two R280x's, performing marginally well @ 1.8 Mhs scrypt

FUD is always going to exist, regardless. Facts are always needed to stop FUD.

Spikes haven't happen yet, but have to wait till this big ASIC's come out. A lot of people do forget that Scrypt coins out number SHA256 coins by a large margin and there still a large abundance of Scrypt coins to mine with ASIC.

I only have a 7970, 7850 2GB, 6970, 6950, 6950 2GB and 2x 5870, about 3.2 mhs for Scrypt. I too don't own a single Gridseed or any form of ASIC Scrypt miner at the moment.

you should look into myriad , relevant links in signature. your older models would do great mining on our groestl and qubit algos. anyway you have choice mine skein or scrypt with new models and groestl and qubit with older ones all while chosing what algo is more profitable at the moment of mining.
