If you believe in DEXs, would you rather trade Hyperliquid with good tokenomics or Aster because it is backed by CZ and Binance?

It is worth knowing that these exchanges are actually not decentralized exchanges but they can be called web3 but they are not decentralized.

One important features of the exchanges is that they do not require KYC.

It will be better to diversify instead of comparing. But for me, I prefer none but maybe they may have long term success but it may not be up to how it is expected but slightly disappointing.

If I can invest in both of them why not both of them? if it's just all about the money, both have dynamics but hype is more of the better version. While the aster is more of the backing project because of the name that has it behind it. But seriously, if you're for the profit, you'll just spread your money in both of them so that you'll maximize the potential profits. And if you're going to invest to only one of it, I think that the better choice has always been hyperliquid.

I'd rather use Hyperliquid instead of Aster. Why? A very good tokenomic can help the project to be sustainable in long term. It's totally different with a project went big just caused by it's being shilling by a big boy that may be last for short term.

Anyway, i'm active trader in hype and aster. My experience hype has better and responsive perp exchange instead of Aster, though it's backed by CZ. My honest review.

I'm a big fan of HyperLiquid and do not think that we should be comparing DEXes but rather encouraging open participation from all DEXes because the fight isn't among DEXes but against CEXes that have monopolized the space. None of these platforms have complete features yet as there are a few lapses. If you'd want to compare them based on fees, what then would you say about lighter? It's a free-fee DEXes with almost similar features with HyperLiquid. So there is clearly no need to compare either of them.

As a hyperLiquid fan boy, I was quick to rebel against ASTER but I learnt later on that it is, +EV if these platforms all coexist compared to one of them eating others up like binance has done over the years.

I've used Aster only because there is airdrop for traders but overall the experience is not on par with hyperliquid. One thing i don't really like is how glitchy the PnL is in asterdex. I don't know if they fixed it already though. I still remember how the price mark in my future position have different price compared to the chart but it's just a bug though.

After airdrop ended, I come back to hyperliquid more often.

CZ and Binance have become polarizing figures, so it is debatable if this is a positive for Aster. Besides Pancakeswap, I can’t recall any other Binance backed projects that turned out to be really successful. Looking at their portfolio, they do have investments in Trust Wallet, Curve and many other things, but I don’t think the role of Binance/YZi Labs was what made them successful.

I have not traded on Aster before, but the opinion of most people who have used both is that it is inferior in several ways to Hyperliquid. HL is very community focused and never depended on backing from major VCs. From an ideological standpoint, I would rather support Hyperliquid over Aster and some other competitors. That said, the cult following around Hyperliquid and their founder Jeff is kind of annoying. I like their protocol more, but I’m not going to get into fights on social media over it.
