So on a very good day, I was scrolling through Facebook then I saw an ad that says they buy binance account , as a 9ja boy na I was like, wetin I dey even use binance do, make I sell am, so I clicked the link, sent a message on Whatsapp, me and d guy talk o, e say make I send am my login details, I did, e no fit login, I come send am my QR login code, e come login, oya pay me na, e come say make I send am OTP I send, so it's like wetin e 1 do come fail, e come open up to me, e say guy, e dey run P2P scam so dem report d account (my account I give am) say make I chat customer care make dem release the account, so out of curiosity I come dey ask am how e dey run the scam seeing say ur funds dey frozen with binance when u dey do p2p, so from wetin I gather, while doing P2P, avoid the following;

1. Sharing sensitive information.
2. Contacting outside of the exchanger for business.
3. Report any suspicious activities, and finally.
4. Don't chat too much with merchants, them fit confuse you.

You want to sell your Binance account, that is very wrong.

You let the person have access to you Binance account without paying your first, the person make use of  your account without paying you, that is also not good.

You get verified on Binance and you want to sell your account, do you not know that is dangerous? Do not do that again for you not to enter problem that will land you in jail. That is what you suppose to know.

He is not trying to scam me but to use my account for scam purposes, there is no money or anything to scam me about.

You are very right, although, I didn't initially know it was scam he needed the account for, I thought maybe for trading or stuffs like that, and besides I wasn't making use of the account and probably will not ever again so I felt like it was ok to sell it cause it seems to me like an old worn out clothe.

Yes oo, P2P scam is very real, they scammed my friend using P2P, I was surprised, although it wasn't from an exchanger, it was from 1 crypto group he is part of, so we all should be careful out there, you shouldn't just give out ur details nonchalantly to strangers on the Internet, it's risky

You are right, the op is lucky he was not having anything there in his binance account if not that would have been a story that touches the heart, you see one thing about greed is that it has a  way of making someone look like a fool,  if not greed and what the op has in mind of gaining he would have been responding fastly without any form of consciousness or alertness that is about to be scamm.  Know this :  their is no free thing in free town, this should be a thought for the day, avoid free or huge offer from strangers because that's is always their strategy of operating least you learn the hard way.

I see your story as a fiction because P2P trade isn't available for Nigerians on the Binance exchange. But in case someone wants to buy your Binance account from you, don't sell it because there's a high chance the person that want to buy it could possibly use it to do fraud, and you will be the one that will receive the heat since it was your personal details you used to verify your Binance acount.

Thanks for the warning, but this story is in no way a fictional 1, this happened earlier this year, I just recently tried to open my binance account and saw my account was deactivate, so I thought it was because of that incident, that's why I remembered the story and brought it here, I can show you emails and proof where the user tried to make p2p orders in euros

The reason why I said that you story is untrue is because you said that the person you sent your Binance login details to attempted to scam traders on Binance P2P trade, in which Binance P2P trade isn't available for Nigerian citizens, but if you insist your story actually happened, I am okay because whether it's true or not, I won't lose anything or gain anything.

It's not like the p2p button is disabled or disappears for Nigerian users, if u have a foreign account and can send and receive other currencies legitimately and fast, then u can carry out p2p even with ur Nigeria binance account

Is very possible because I know of people that run scam through Binance but not now, it was back then when Binance p2p is still active in Nigeria before SEC regulations that lead to the p2p been banned for Nigerians even though we can access our Binance accounts.

The person attempted to buy your Binance account but It’s funny how you trusted him easily to give him your personal details just for money while you know that there is no way he can use it for Nigeria P2P, so to share your personal information is very risky, make sure you value your privacy always.

Honestly, Some people really don’t seem to grasp how serious this actually is. Once you tie your BVN/NIN to an exchange.  Giving them your account info,  OTP, QR code,  etc.  is effectively giving them your identity. The scary part is not even about the scam, it's just the fact that anything that guy does with your account will trace back to you. That part alone is very frightening.

People don't get that selling someone a financial account is not like selling a Facebook page.  The legal and security responsibilities attached to a fraudulent account are huge. If the wrong person uses your account for fraud, The verified account owner can and will be held accountable by the Binance platform and the legal system.

So for me, you should protect your digital identity the same way you would protect your bank account,  because the mistakes people are making with this don’t just cost you money,  they cost you your reputation.

Ur very right, and I've learned my lesson, although then I checked every probability that there is nothing I'm loosing, I won't be scammed, I didn't think my account will be used for scam instead because I know p2p is a bit difficult (not impossible) for Nigeria users, so I never saw any harm in giving access to someone else, but thanks for this though.
