What do you think is the reason for UK government to turn down this request? And do you also think Ike Ekweremadu would have been jailed if it were to be in Nigeria?

Sometimes when you read some news you just have to admit that Nigeria as a country dont even have a single shame I mean those elite representing us. Someone committed a crime that has to do with organ trafficking and was apprehended and jailed for such a malicious act and they want him to be transferred to him home country where the law can be compromised.

I can assure you that if that happen he will be granted freedom before he finishes his jail term but I trust UK judiciary system for being rigid and transparent it will not work he must just serve his term. In this country some killed her husband and was sentenced to death but cus they said she was granted presidential freedom.

Let the law work the crime was committed abroad and they were apprehended there and jailed there there is no reason for transfer of any case to Nigeria. If that happened they will gree him I have no doubt that why out country is still backward some people think they are above the law.

I trust UK government, they knew Nigeria very well and what they seeking is not to complete his jail term at home but an avenue to get him free in no distance time,he is one of their elite that squander the resources of this country and they feel so concerned about his continued incarceration if not does Nigeria prison more conducive? Or is he the only Nigeria in prison abroad?
Let him face his prison term and complete it there where law is not a respecter of anyone no matter how highly placed.
Let the federal government request for the transfer of other Nigerian in various prison abroad if they are so passionate about the well being of there citizens.

I am in full support of the UK government refusal of not letting Ike Ekweremadu completing his sentence in Nigeria,  because I believe they know about the corruption of the government of Nigeria. If he was to be released to the Nigeria government for him to complete his sentence,  I am very sure that he will not serve a single day and that is why the UK government did not grant the request.
It's also true that of this has happened in Nigeria he would have walked free, because he has the power, money and influence and I won't be surprised that the victim would have been the one in prison for a crime that was committed against him. I am really happy about the decision of the UK government and even for choosing the trail to be done in the UK.

It’s actually a tragic case, not just because it affects the former Deputy senate president but the circumstances surrounding the case. Ekweremadu is a wealthy man ideally he won’t have committed such terrible crime, he is also highly respected due to his previous track records, this ugly incident just shattered his personality. This life one has to be very careful else one singular mistake can cause someone to lose everything he has suffered all his life to build, one also have to be careful on the means he/she is using to solve a problem so he doesn’t land himself in another more serious problem.

I know lots of people will be happy for this turn down by the UK government but just try to put yourself in the man’s shoe, he did that with the aim of trying to save his child life, the only ugly part is that it was to the detriment of another child’s life, everyone will want to go any length to save his/her child and that’s what Ekweremadu was trying to do before landing himself in this tragic mess, sometimes i wonder why he didn’t try to buy instead wanting to use that boy own? I can really feel the debt of his agony, this is a lesson that money can’t buy everything, Uk government has used this case to demonstrate that no one’s life is worth more than another. I do hope that nature will one day find a way to balance this ugly Ekweremadu case.
