Turkey have ordered the arrest and detention of 46 people, including 29 footballers from top-tier clubs, club presidents, commentators and others,as part of a widening investigation into betting scandal that have roiled the country 's professional football leagues.
Among the arrested players,27 were suspected to have bet on matches involving there own teams.
You can imagine what will happen when a player bet against his team,there overall performance of the team will be in jeopardy.
I suggest serious sanctions should be handed to anyone found guilty because betting kills the beautiful game of football.
I equal encourage the football governing body to initiate strong policies aimed at total eradication of betting especially players and coaches who are still active from betting.such players and coaches should be banned for life for football related activities.
