You shouldn't be basing your opinion on post whether to continue with forum or nah. Look around in forum, do you find it worth your time? If yes, continue.

As for scammers, they will be flagged, this is one thing I like about this forum.

Yeah I couldn't agree more lol Bitcointalk is damn awesome. I've learnt so much from this forum and I'm basically trying to stick around as much as I can and give back to the community. Gradually it's as if this forum replaces social media most times for me because each time you surf you either learn something new or discover something interesting.

This forum has it all from nice guys to guru's to nerds to assholes but I think that diversity is part of what keeps the community going. I'm definitely panning to be an OG lol..

frankly, i don't know if i am that worthy enough to yet to call the forum awesome like the OGs, but honestly the i can vouch for the kind of knowledge and diversity in the discussions that go on here. I was actually scrolling through Facebook and i came across an image posted by CoinGecko about Satoshi Nakamoto and it specifically mentioned Bitcointalk forum and that triggered me to take a look at the forum and i was amazed, so I just had to join. Hopefully going forward i will learn more, contribute better and in no time get this same feeling you are all talking about.

It’s completely normal to feel that way. You’ll definitely run into questionable stuff and scammers here—that’s just the internet, especially in crypto. The secret isn't hoping they disappear; the secret is learning to read and interact with skepticism. Treat every random post like a potential risk until proven otherwise. If you stick to checking sources and doing your own research (DYOR), you’ll filter out the noise and find the real value quickly. Welcome

I haven’t registered on several platforms where Bitcoin is actively discussed,bitcointalk is the only platform I’m currently registered on and I don’t think of joining any other platform other than bitcointallk.I’m frankly comfortable with the forum and how things are done here,this forum has actually impacted on my life not only the financial aspect but I’ve learned how to share same interest with people I haven’t met in reality.The essence of this community is to build a platform where bitcoin enthusiasts come to together with different opinions in the form of exchanging knowledge.I would always place this forum to be first and amazing forum ever because from my stay here it really worth it.

Coming from a local forum in my country with tons of emojis, stickers, and other features, I initially found Bitcointalk is boring and outdated. But as I got more involved, I discovered that Bitcointalk is truly a forum, in my opinion. It's simple, lightweight, and free of unnecessary features; it's truly designed for discussion and sharing.

The users here are also less toxic. Well, I'm not saying it's completely free of toxic people, but compared to the forum I used before, this one is much better.

I've also gained a lot of information and knowledge about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency here. And whenever you have questions or need help, there's plenty of people who can help you.

It's fair to say this forum is truly awesome.

Many years ago, I had signed up on several forums, some were about sports (cycling etc. that I did back then) and others were generally about computers and technology, one of them was in Greek. The cycling forum (also in Greek) started slowly dying down, just like you described, less and less new topics, new replies on main sections started thinning out, going even days without a single post, till it simply died. Others that I visited less frequently died as well. The two technology forums though are still quite active, although the Greek one isn't what it used to be.

I signed up on this forum late 2014, I was a teenager back then and I was intrigued by Bitcoin, which brought me to this forum. Over the years, I've quit a total of two times, with major inactivity periods in 2015-2017 and 2018-2020, I don't remember the exact periods, but somewhere close to the years I mentioned. Nevertheless, I stuck around, talked to some great people, one of which recently died and was quite disheartened by it (RIP Condoras) and learned a lot about cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin, investments and so on.

Thus, to sum up, yes, this forum is indeed awesome!

It is indeed an achievement for a forum started in like 2010-15 to even be live today. Glad that bitcointalk is one of them.

Hello Diamond hands, I am glad to know that you upto 12 years in this forum. This is a great fit. When I was new in this forum, I used to see people who bad mouth the forum. But today, not many people bad mouth the forum except some trolls. I am barely 4 years in this forum and it's already a gold for me. I wonder where I will be and the portion of BTC I will own if I stay here until 12 years.

This forum is fantastic, free and even pays here members. Bitcointalk is the best.

I couldn’t agree more. We are barely a week into the new year, and already I see people complaining about drop in post quality, and merit distribution. You can complain you want but like Welsh said you can’t get this kind of honest in-depth discussion anywhere else on social media.

I think we have an example of this in the new software that was in the works for a long time and was ultimately abandoned. I think most of us here are happy with the way things are and that major changes would be more of a nuisance than anything else. Changes to the structure of forums are not usually well received by members.

To be very very very honest, this forum is the best, awesome, great and that's why we are all here  .
Ofcourse not everything is perfect and there are always room for improvement.

But those discussions that disturb you take place in the Reputation section. Just don't go there. The fact that there are such discussions in that section does not prevent you from finding information or discussions that interest you in other parts of the forum.

By just hearing the name bitcointalk you will know that is a place of discussions and you will get more experience and knowledge about bitcoin, but if you don't get any understanding about this forum you will just see it as empty, but if you really what to learn about bitcoin you will definitely see the value of it and you will get many benefits that other platform can't give you. Anyone that comes to the forum and spend one year or more he will surly get knowledge about bitcoin or any other benefit because they are many board that you can see different topic and opinion, that if you read it you will get some understanding about the topic and you can ask any questions in the forum and you will definitely get answers, except you ask questions that won't benefit anyone.

but if is a nice question that is good and understandable you will always get good reply and be rewarded by merit. This forum as help me alot and get many benefits and understanding about how bitcoin goes and am sure everyone that spend years will surely get the believe that he achieve something in the forum.
