Thanks for this, it's very interesting website, clean and simple but functional design just the way I like it.

Just my remark is that the word database is pretty small so I hope other people, more familiar in gambling will join the initiative to expand the fund of words.

Good job and keep it up!

It looks good so far. It concerns me a bit the fact you decided to go for Artificial intelligence in order to create this dictionary of gambling terms.
In order circumstances I would prefer to read or use a dictionary which pointed out its sources of information, and that is something which is no possible with artificial intelligence, unless one gets out one's way in order to compile all that source information to offer to readers.

If you did not have artificial intelligence and automated algorithms to assist you with the creation of this project, how would have pulled something like this off?
Would it have been doable for you at all ?
I am curious.

That's interesting. If he may have used AI to come up with this project. At least add some original ones like coming from this forum and cite the references. The truth is, you can just basically ask it over the net or AI. Do remember, in today's generation, you can basically search everything over the net. And read so much that even if you are not asking about it, you already have the answers. This is why people should not be ignorant on things, because one click and the net will give you a handful of answers. But let's appreciate the OP's effort for creating one. Though he can add some twists to entice readers.

I'm using premium AIs for this, but yeah, you are right, I should be adding citations, so I will be starting to add those citations beneath the results. What's good about premium AI is that you can prompt an elaborate rephrasing to come out with the maximum results and verify the facts based on the citations.
I should have added this on every entry anyway, its a work in progress and would like to thank you all for this feedback

Personally, I don't really care about citations and all that as long as most of the work is done by you and less by the AI which is probably what matters to most people out there if you ask me.

Try keeping the AI usage to a minimal and continue improving this useful tool here and there wherever possible.

I'm very much like that. But I'm not an expert in many areas of gambling, so I have to rely on AI, searching, and citations to verify that the information is correct and reliable.
I can only give my own input on areas where I have knowledge of, but this is a glossary. I have to provide all gambling-related terms for the benefit of gamblers across different fields.

Interesting project. I thought I would see a big table or list in your OP with different terms instead of a website, but I guess a separate site makes sense.

Here are a few terms I could think of that you could add to the list if you want:
- Volatility & Variance
- Rakeback & Cashback
- Random Number Generator (RNG)
- Vig
- Wager
- Paytable

I noticed that the glossary is missing terms related to exchanges, futures, and similar concepts. I've been trading price movements in financial markets for 21 years, and I've always considered it a form of gambling. It genuinely troubles me that very few people understand this. Even here on the forum, gambling and trading are treated as completely separate fields. In my view, this separation leads to a distorted understanding of what market speculation really is. It would be great if the gambling industry also recognized this field as part of its own.

Thank you for recommending these terms, brother Pmalek. These are important terms that should be in the glossary. How can I miss it?
For the term "wager," I have 11 results when using a search box; it appears in the terms "deals bet" and "high rollers," but there is no dedicated entry for the term "wager."
I will add these terms later.

There was an old topic about whether trading is gambling, and the majority at the time thought it was not. The discussion was seven years ago, so I guess opening a debate about it now will clarify whether it's considered gambling. Honestly.
I don't think it's a gamble, or we could recommend creating a glossary of trading terms, since there are so many terms that many new traders cannot comprehend.

This was the discussion :

Is Bitcoin Trading Gambling?

Thanks for the link. Yes, I fully understand the arguments of those who believe that trading and gambling are different. And I've long since stopped arguing about the fact that on Bitcointalk these two activities are separated. But that doesn't mean it has to be this way everywhere. Especially because if we look at modern exchanges, we'll see that many of them communicate with customers like gaming platforms: contests, bright colors, huge leverage promising incredible gains...

Most people who perform operations with cryptocurrencies on exchanges are not doing what should really be called trading. They are placing a bet on the price going up or down and praying for that bet to play out. I'm the same way myself.

Thank you for dropping by, brother. I welcome contrasting opinions; trading as gambling is still debatable, so I'm trying to make it easy for my visitors. I don't want to flood them with terms that they think are not explicitly related to gambling. I will have to explain why I include it; also, there are popular trading glossary platforms, and gambling terms are not included.

Trading is a fascinating subject, and it's an industry unto itself. Maybe someone in our community will create one if one doesn't exist. I'm more than willing to help him set up one if he doesn't know how to build one.

Trading is indeed gambling - pretending it isn't is exactly the same as making a claim you'll win at a casino.

Even if a majority of people believe something, that you can prove is false, that doesn't make it true.

The terms 'addict' and 'gambling addict' come to mind in relation to that, but are missing from your definitions.

Another commonly used gambling in Bitcoin is renting miners.
But no doubt there will be those who 'hope' and claim that isn't gambling.
It even has a clear and specific (high) house edge.

The truth is, you can just basically ask it over the net or AI. Do remember, in today's generation, you can basically search everything over the net.

In a different age of the internet, Op would have needed to type down all those entries in this glossary manually. I just wanted to point out there is so many AI slop being spammed on the internet, and wanted to be sure this glossary was not something low effort, it seems it is not though...

With the advance of Artificial intelligence, works like this online glossary seem to be losing merit day by day, as a computers do all the work. I would not be surprised there was some artificial intelligence soon in the future which made a whole webpage by just giving it the description of it.

That's interesting. If he may have used AI to come up with this project. At least add some original ones like coming from this forum and cite the references. The truth is, you can just basically ask it over the net or AI. Do remember, in today's generation, you can basically search everything over the net.

I'm using 4 AIs here: I compare them, ask the AIs for elaboration, and check the entries. It's been two weeks, and I only have 50 entries so far; there are more than 400 gambling terms. AI can only give results based on what's in its database, but it needs a human to check its work.
And yes, there is a possibility of AI doing all the work and designing a webpage. In fact, if you have a CPanel on Namecheap, you can use WordPress script and configure all the web details and contents by just giving a suggestion or prompt, and the application will do the work for you, but a human still needs to check the configuration; you can't rely on everything on AI.
I hope I can finish all the entries this week so I can design the webpage and add more features.

I must say that I appreciate the effort you have put into this project (+1 merit) and I’m pretty sure many gamblers will find it useful and may learn a few things from it. I also understand that it’s a "work in progress" but there are a few minor issues you can fix to make it look more professional.
For example, I tried clicking on the links in the footer, but most of them do not work. Again, I understand that this is still a work in progress but you already have a working “contact us” page that can be accessed from the main menu, so why doesn’t the “contact us” link in the footer work as well?

It's not the final theme I'm going to use. I'm in the compiling and verification phase; there are over 500 terms and words to be added, and it takes time. It's a holiday, and my work has slowed down. Still, I'm looking forward to finishing this in the first week of January.
Thank you to all my brothers and sisters who dropped by and posted their feedback. Appreciate it all.

I need to change the theme and configuration; it's going to be a hover-based glossary, where you will get a brief glimpse of the terms when you hover your mouse over them.

I also upgraded perplexity.ai, the second AI for this project, to achieve optimal results for every term. It feels like I'm starting over again on this project.
I'm locking the thread for now while I populate the glossary. It will be relaunched after a week.

So far, we have added 55 gambling terms. I take down the resource link, as the entry will look messy with all the links coming from the sourcethe site is still in beta testing and we welcome feedbacks.

Our newly added gambling terms;

Stake

Quote
In gambling, a stake is the amount of money you put at risk on a bet, and it determines how much you can lose or win. If the bet wins, you usually get your stake back plus a profit; if it loses, you lose your stake.

To read the whole meaning of the term Stake please go here https://gamblingglossary.site/glossary/stake/

You are doing well. Keep it up. And the way you rearrange the links under the images is good. As the user click the images, it will navigate the person to the website to read more. And I can see the that the site is still on the progressive stage. And I like the way the concepts are defined. It is very simple for the layman to understand.
