I believe gambling taught me more on setting limits to even fun things. I learned having a budget for gambling here on the forum and practicing that I feel I am more disciplined now and plan around my finances better. I have seen people get financially wrecked from gambling and I have made it a point of duty to apply caution and not go all in when gambling.

Somehow gambling helps with critical thinking and better decision making with facts and not just a guess since researching on teams when making my picks have taught me the importance of making appropriate researches and make conclusions based on facts and not just speculations.

No in my own case, but I've seen series of lessons others were being taught as a result of gambling, the first one was the experience i had when i visited a casino house and saw a man crying all because he mistakenly stake his entire savings to bet and lose it, thinking with the hope that he could be refunded if he never won, an elderly man for that reason, crying for help that he has nothing to fall back at, even despite he was more confident he could win the bet with what he has seen, but not knowing there's trick in playing bet.

It's about having a tough mentality. Learning to say no or to simple stop because you can't get yourself bankrupt as there are a lot of people who needs you to provide everything. From putting food in the table, to paying all the bills.

So at some point, I would say that I will have to control myself and budget everything and eliminate gambling for days or weeks because I can't afford to play and lose money. And then just go back when everything is normal again.

So it's more on the top of the game so to speak and not let gambling ruin my life.

The main lesson I learned was that I should prepare myself for the worst even if I had 'all' the chances of success.  You place a lot more Money than you should have on a bet and you believe there is no way you could lose.  The calculated chance is 98 percent, it makes you believe the bet can not turn in to a loss.  Then it does all of a sudden.

If you ever took medication and looked at the prospect, you should know you had the 'lower chance' side effects at least once.  This is definitely a life lesson for me, do not falsely believe you will 100 percent win because the chances of loss are small or you will be hit like a brick when you happen to be the loss.

At the start, I thought it was something that would be that easy for me to gamble and earn a win, but later I got to know the risk underlying it, after several attempts to win and availed not, I begin to realize that not everything we see about gambling happening could be our own personal experience in it as well, ours may be entirely different and we don't have to put much expectations on it all because we wanted to gamble and win a bet, the casinos also are into the business for profits and they are not father Christmas.

The most important lesson I’ve learned from gambling is never to think that you are smarter than the system, excessive self-confidence can play a very cruel joke. It’s good if you get something positive out of gambling especially life lessons but I doubt this will be a general conclusion since most of the gambler is just playing for fun to spend their free time when they have nothing to do.

Personally, the only I learned on gambling is how to manage my bankroll properly and control the risk I’m willing to take. I’m a businessman which I applied some of this risk reduction skills that I learned here to avoid decision that will put too much risk to my company.

In gambling luck plays the most important role but since we're humans and our luck isn't at peak all the time and that's why learning about gambling responsibility and being disciplined is the most important thing we learn by doing gambling consciously for fun.

Gambling without learning about gambling responsibility at first will make someone addicted and those who consider gambling as a source of income are on wrong path. Although, one can sometimes earn good money from gambling but one should never consider it as a source of income.

The lesson that gambling taught me was that I should not be greedy, and that I should learn more about money management as I wasted money on gambling in the past because of addiction. Gambling will tear you down and take everything you have if mismanaged. I see how many gamblers become broke and suffer financial collapse due to irresponsible gambling.

- Learn to value our money

Things that can be done so easily, but yes, many have found it difficult. And this tells us that we don't have to die in gambling, hoping for a win. Learn to give up if you find gambling is no longer enjoyable.

Life lesson was how my wife supported me. She didn`t believe that i can get profit from betting, it took very much time, but she never said me something bad for that period. I spent all my time on main job, at home - analyzing matches and making bets. I had no time for family. But she never reproached me.
 As the result i`ve got nice profit, we repaired our house went on vacation and i know that she made me better than i was before.

I have learnt many lessons thanks to gambling. Patience, self-awareness, introspection... I think that I'm more in tune with my own feelings and emotions thanks to the analysis of the roller coaster that gambling is.

But if I had to mention only one, then it would be the ability to think about the bigger frame, spacial or abstract thinking, I don't know how to name it but it is the ability to think about several possible scenarios at the same time, and make decisions accordingly.

Gamblers will inevitably experience greed, emotions, chasing losses this is common but when they have lost from there they learn to be more strict discipline that was previously ignored.

Well the life lessons it teaches me is more about discipline. Yeah it seems some think of it as just a means to an end or just an opportunity to get out of rug life. But for some lime me who never expected a thing on this, except with the relaxation and joy it brings when you feel the excitement on playing something enough though making some huge win will make it more appealing. With gambling youll learn a lot of stuff, but what I mentioned is the most I learned in here.

I used to think gambling was just about the excitement & the chance to win big but over time I realised that the real challenge isn’t the game itself it’s how I manage my emotions & decisions there are days when I win & days when I lose & that cycle can affect me if I’m not disciplined. The biggest lesson I learned is knowing when to stop that I don’t always have to chase my losses & winning doesn’t mean I should keep going once I set a limit I need to stick to it cause if I don’t I’ll end up losing more in the long run.

To take Fiancial security seriously. I know it's kind of ironic since gambling usually destroy financial security(or maybe I am the only one who see it that way), but realising the scary truth of what could happen if you fucked yourself financially was an eye opener for me. there are more things I learned from gambling but taking financial security seriously is at the top of them.

I learned that we need to put things in the proper perspective, such as treating a casino as a place of entertainment; deviating from that will lead us astray.
I also learned that we must not force ourselves to make gambling our source of income. Not because we made money in the past; we can do it again, we are just fooling ourselves if we think we can.
We need to understand that we can't make gambling a cash cow.
