It is a market that captures people's imaginations, and the "conquest" of space is something that has been pursued for decades and shows no signs of stopping. I believe it is worth owning some shares.

The price is falling back to reality after the exciting IPO. I’ve got orders in for a couple hundred more shares at the IPO price if it falls that low. If we go sub-$100 I may find myself liquidating some other assets to throw a Hail Mary on this company. The moon is just the beginning…

The point I want to discuss here can be kinda off-topic, but still, it's regarding SpaceX.

I wanted to discuss some points on the current situation regarding the SpaceX stock price and some other points as well. Some days ago i reaad news headline that SpaceX's market cap lost almost over 1 trillion in just a month. This is insane and a huge drop just in a month, and that also points out that Elon Musk lost his trillionaire position because of this. Do you know why the SpaceX market dropped this way?

Well, today I was watching a new video on social media from which I came to know that China has also tested its very first rocket launch, and it was a successful test on the first try. Meaning that SpaceX now have its competitor in the market, which can be a challenging thing for SpaceX company. What do you think regarding this matter?

The current share float is very small. Hedge funds are taking advantage of that by heavily shorting the stock causing the price to fall below the IPO. They are doing this so that when employee share unlocks happen, they can buy shares from those employees at the lowest possible prices. This is a game that will likely continue for the next year, before the stock goes to the moon on an S&P inclusion next June. I wouldn’t be surprised to see it hit $80 per share, but I’ll be buying the entire way down.

When the employees start selling I will consider buying ( I think they have a 6month and 1 year lock-up, as far as I know). It is already $120. I think $80 is a much safer zone, but lets see how much it will get in 5 months... too much hyper for now.

I don't believe now is the time as the price still has not found its bottom yet; it will go lower.  Things are different now with this being a public company.  When it was private, there were looser timelines regarding revenue.  However, now being beholden to shareholders, the revenue timelines will be tighter with quarter to quarter expectations.  Also, this may need to be reigned in sooner than later- the SpaceX Starship has been launched 12 times, with 7 successes and 5 failures, which is a 58.3% success rate.

As there are reasons for optimism, there are also fair reasons for skepticism.

Many of the buyers during the launch probably took their cash and profit with them and so the market reacted. If I'll buy this right now, I won't look at the charts maybe for a year or two. We'll see if it's a good long term stock to hold but I agree, holders has to take those red months with them and get over that until its price rises up. At what price do you plan to enter? 120 is still more expensive then it might be on an intra year low.  Facebook halved at first before rising much more over time.    One broker said its a fine prospect but it needs to be at 50 before its a buy in his eyes, over time value vs price will adjust and people will find its correct value.

 Right now its being challenged by rival Chinese tech on every front and the wider market is finding doubt in ai and tech generally though I believe there is value worth buying.  Main problem for SPCX is their return on value is very long term, it wont just be years but a decade or more hence its going to take alot to gain long term buyers with that depth of interest so a waning price is natural.

China is trying as much as possible to bridge the gaps, though, and I believe in a few years we shall have competitors left and right just like we have seen in the EV industry, so yeah, we are probably going to be in the red for a while as well, and the price growth rate may not be the one that was expected before competition came into play.

It is still a 1.6T marketcap company. I wouldnt enter anything higher than 1 T, so probably only in $ 60-80 range....

I also think so and so I agree that it's still quite expensive and we'll see how it will be for the next months to come. But I'm putting this on my list as well as one of my possible long term stock to hold.

They don't have it yet but you're right that within the EV market, they're now dominating it wherefore Elon has laugh in an interview before when BYD was mentioned to him. Maybe a year or two from now on, we'd see a counterpart of Space X on them and they'll also have an IPO, who knows.
