Be honest… how many times did you say “I’m done with Bitcoin” and still come bac

How many times have you officially said: “That’s it, I’m done with Bitcoin”

And then two weeks later you’re back checking the chart at 3am like it’s your job?

I’ve noticed something funny about this space.
People “quit” crypto emotionally at least 5 times a year, but nobody actually leaves.

After crashes;  we’re done.
After scams; we’re done.
After bear markets we’re done.

But the moment price starts moving, everybody suddenly becomes a “long-term believer” again.

So I’m curious:

What made you “quit” the first time?
And what dragged you back?

When I was at my newbie's stage, I often told myself to finally leave bitcoin for good because it only makes me panic and pressured while seeing bitcoin price drops consistently. Thankfully, I have a good friend of mine who becomes my good adviser as well and was able to sustain my bitcoin journey through ups and downs.

Now I'm actually starting to enjoy the fruit of my hard-earned investment. Patience and constant learning in the market are the keys, and of course understanding the volatile nature of bitcoin and all its advantages it may bring to us.

Luckily I’m not in any of the category listed, bitcoin price track is done when investors invest during short period or trade. Bitcoin dip might be tempting sometimes, the only reason why many decide to hold and stay patient is as a result of trust rate obviously bitcoin past event record shows bitcoin price will definitely rise not minding the dip. Also the bull run comes with ups and down, there’s no specific period except a person is knowledgeable and patient enough to hold for long.

Are you generalising both trader and holders? I don't think long term bitcoin holder even quit once in a year not to talk about 5  times a year. If you are talking about bitcoin traders it's understandable.

This quitting and coming back is most predominantly with the mene coins traders. The moment you signed up for those shitty coins just know that you have lost you peace. Bitcoin didn't crash that much this year, for someone to quit up to 5 times and come back.

I haven't seen myself saying I'm quitting Bitcoin, although the FTX crash couple with the bear and every bankruptcy actually affected my view of the price, I never expected this surge in price but after experiencing it I can now say, with time Bitcoin will continue to grow and people sentiments will only become stronger.

Bitcoin is not unlike gambling were you will say that you are done with it, bitcoin is a currency, you can neither hold it as store of value or you use it for exchanges of goods and services, I believe too well that bitcoin investment is something some people get discouraged when the price bitcoin falls after investor is newly invested in Bitcoin, we need to know that the price of Bitcoin is something that can change, myself i haven't decide one day to regret of knowing bitcoin or channels some of my investment payments options for bitcoin, instead I'm grateful for adopting Bitcoin by my side

Funny enough is the fact that I have never housed such a thought of quitting Bitcoin or cryptocurrency for any reason, instead I think more of how to HODL and even acquire spot ETF if and when I run into a large sum that may have been a blessing from a good source.

I may trade other coins just for easy quick profit, but I don't hold them for long, instead I prefer to hold using a more stable coins like USDT pegged to the dollar.
Bitcoin is a great investment opportunity for potential wealth creation and I have never set my eyes off it despite any bearish seasons it might be going through currently, because I believe the price will rise to a bull season as we enter the first quarter of 2026 and for long term investment plan, it is my first option among others to achieve my goal of diversification and early retirement.

I haven’t had any reason to give up on bitcoin, if anything I have become more confident hodling my bitcoins. Bear markets and crashes are part of the deal, you don’t expect the bullish trend to last forever. I was hodling during the 2020 crash and all I could think about was ways of earning money to buy the dip.

This never occurred to me before if I could remember correctly, but am able to recall on times I've made decisions on trading and altcoins before in the past, that am done, but still yet, I find myself occasionally involved in them because they all have been part of me, while bitcoin only serves as my investment which I could hold onto for a long time without the fear of missing out.

Honestly never. I considered the volatility as part of the game so never get disappointed honestly, never got scammed as well since I always very careful about my bitcoin holding, going as far as never even have any thoughts to restake it in some random L2.

Honestly, I have strong mentality and can't remember well how many time get failure when trading in cryptocurrency but never say done and always interested for investing in bitcoin or altcoin. First I know about risk when investing money in cryptocurrency and not really worry if get loss or my investment assets has decreasing values, I think some one not ready for taking risk say over with cryptocurrency and won't back if has great chance to invest in bitcoin.
I earned much during investing in bitcoin and altcoin never forgetting how I can get anything until right now during more than six years have been invested in bitcoin. So never tired for investing more in bitcoin if have much capital get braveness for all in to make cryptocurrency as my goals investment.

Back few years ago when bear market happened i almost give up to bitcoin the reason is at that time i didn't believe the prices will be bounce back but when i saw bitcoin can reach new ATH several times it makes me thinking that bear market exist because this is good opportunities to the bitcoin holders to buy more so, as long as i didn't sell my bitcoin while bear market happened i would never lost my money and this makes me to build strong mentality and considers volatility as the nature of bitcoin but the most important is i have never to being panic anymore when bitcoin prices crashed

Well, Bitcoin's volatility plays very important role and that's why one could do quite good if he/she accumulate Bitcoin with a proper strategy like DCA or with dip buying strategy or both in combination.

Bitcoin surely gets higher in value overtime but it takes time to see it reaching values above $150k. However, it's proven to be the top asset in the world and thus there's no doubt that it will surely achieve higher values overtime.

Not at all. People who have quit bitcoins before had no real understanding of how it moves; that is why they were not hesitant to say they quit. They had high expectations but have become disappointed. They were more emotional than objective while investing. They were emotional because they did not expect Bitcoin to reduce in value after they had invested; many only expected the positive move, not giving a chance for the negative move in their minds, hence the huge disappointment.

Objective thinking and the right orientation will help reduce any ridiculous expectations you have concerning your investment in bitcoins.

Back in 2016, I decided to sell all my BTC when the price hits 1000 USD. I was expecting the price to reach that ATH and then crash back to 100-200 USD(just like the 2013 pump and dump). This is the only time, when I was thinking about quitting my Bitcoin journey.
I never thought about quitting ever since. Not even during the 2018 bear market. I was scammed by someone with 100 USD worth of BTC back in 2020, but this didn't made me hate Bitcoin. I know that most people react emotionally to sudden negative events, but emotions cannot lead anyone to the right decisions. Many people have left the crypto world and many people have returned after several months or years of being gone.

I don't know but I never quit and never did it crossed my mind to say that "I'm done with Bitcoin". Although I will admit that I might have sold everything at one point after being a holder for at least a year. But my reason being is that I sold because I will be back in the next bear market.

And that's why I did, after the bull season and making a lot of profit, then I sold. I came back the next year when it was obviously that the market have shown bearish pattern, prices of Bitcoin slowly declining and then it was a perfect opportunity to start all over again. Sort of re-setting as I have learn throughout the process of being in the market for several halvings already.

Usually such thing happens with newbies especially, but if they get their facts and head straight, they will understand it's not the end of the line, but a chance for a new beginning for them.

To be honest with myself, I have not once thought of leaving Bitcoin or saying anything sad because of how the Bitcoin market has treated me badly. Also, I have never been scammed before, so I am not among those who regret their Bitcoin investment.i was seriously guided by one of my friends who introduced Bitcoin to me. I have known him since school, and he is a very intelligent person. Before he introduces something to someone, he always makes sure he has done proper research.

One of the reasons I never think of giving up on Bitcoin is because it made me understand that 1 Bitcoin will always be 1 Bitcoin. Even if it loses value, there is a high probability that it will gain value again with time. Because of that, I hardly worry about the Bitcoin price when it is dropping.

Situations like that may hurt our nerves to some degree, but they shouldn't make us quit our journeys altogether.

I was too scammed for a bit of my money back because I wasn't vigilant enough using the address book, but it didn't make me quit the road I walk.

I did not say i will stop crypto forever at all instead i just took a break most of the time when the market is down and i still ended up holding a coin for longer because im tired to do a transaction thats the time part of mine have a regrets in life i do always which is like with other people. During the market crash of the market from the 120k to 100k seems regrets part of me that i didnt took profit or at least get back the losses instead i hope for more which is opposite what does the market gives.
