What happened:: signed up to Whale.io and placed 2 or 3 bets. I went on holiday for a week came back and saw my account was suspended. Opened 3 tickets on live chat which expired on their end, on my 4th ticket opened they responded and told me my account is blocked whilst I still have funds in my account. I think this is the first time i am seeing a scam accusation against Whale.io in this board. They are a solid casino that built a great brand in this forum, so i hope this would be solved ASAP. I have checked the images you posted and i think it is weird to permanently block a users account because they failed to provide verification after 6 days of request.
That said, even if you want to block their account permenently, they should be allowed to verify their account and withdraw any funds in it. Have you sent a pm to @Whale, i think you should do so, and add a link to this thread. That is one way to get this solved quickly.

Hmm, I think this is an issue that can and should be fixed. Requesting KYC is nothing new, but setting a deadline which results in a non negotiable account closure (with funds) when not being done in time really is a little bit tough and not exactly customer friendly. Whale should reconsider, first of all this case and second their general approach for cases like this. Sometimes people don't see messages/emails for a while, that's just how it is. Excluding them for something like this, while keeping their funds, really should not be the norm.

I think they should be fair enough and give you back a refund. The support stuff really sounded so harsh regarding the situation

Do you mean you log in through Telegram? Because that is one option, other than through the email, that you can register and log into Whale.io platform. How did they communicate their request for KYC to you? That said, like i earlier suggested, did you send a pm to @Whale, their representative on bitcointalk. This issue is not too complicated and it ought to be resolved pretty quickly.

I withdrew some funds like 1-2 days before i went on vacation, then I came back my account was suspended

I think he already did that. I am waiting to see what the representative has to say about this. He hasn't been online yet since 8th December. Maybe there are so few details we may be missing regarding the locked account.

This is surprising, because they used to be very active here. Maybe you can send PM to those who have contacts at whale.io, like icopress or inspace. Hopefully, they can help you with this matter. Or let me mentioned them here just in case they using notifier. @icopress @inspace This is also my first time seeing deadline for KYC verification. I thought whale.io was not that strict with KYC, especially since what they advertise here on bitcointalk. Most users here have said they were not asked for KYC even when withdrawing decent amount.

Those rare blockings that do happen aren't random. I see you're one of those who registered here a long time ago, and since you cited another casino as an example, I think you'll agree that this niche is full of scammers. They usually find someone they haven't used for KYC yet, and the search takes time. So, they usually return after a week or two to complete verification.
Therefore, to combat this, we set a time limit (for legitimate players, this isn't a problem). In rare cases, we may be flexible; again, everything depends on internal data that highlights linked accounts through indirect or direct evidence.
That's why we're uncompromising when it comes to deadlines. The user fulfilled the conditions, and their issue was resolved. Time is as valuable to us as our user base or other resources that keep our business afloat.
We can't wait for every one of our thousands of customers to create duplicate requests. Unlike other casinos, where users can wait for weeks, we want to keep our support inbox clean.
