My head almost got resetted, merely by trying to decipher your point here. If I could understand you, winning and losing is what motivates people to keep gambling? I'd say yes. The human mind is wired to see every clear, but failed opportunity as a reason to keep trying. When you keep doing the same thing for years, your body just adapts to it and it's difficult to stop-- Reasons could be that you don't have something else to keep that thrill alive, so it feels better whenever you gamble.
