Some of the things making addicted gamblers not to stop gambling is greed and chasing losses, I also gamble for fun but I have not gotten addicted to gambling simply because I'm not greedy and I don't chase losses over and over again when I lose money and l can also say that losing is what makes people addicted. Skill in gambling does not guarantee that you will win, so I think that both luck and skills play a role in your winnings and luck takes the lead, however it is also important to know that luck doesn't happen everyday and when luck is absent skill steps in but it doesn't mean instant wins.

By this way, you can remain relaxed whether good, or bad luck strikes, and you can still gamble comfortably in the next sessions.

Some people might argue, that there is skill on certain types of gambling, but personally, I consider them equal, meaning I still consider the chances of winning and losing to be equal. If there is such a thing as "skill" in gambling, then shouldn't there be more people who have good luck at it? especially in the long term.

Essentially, it is okay to gamble, but do it wisely, which means limiting your time and money. These two things are the main pillars of being a responsible gambler.

I'm am still baffled to imagine a long lasting winnings from a gambler, I haven't come across this since I started gambling till now. Winnings has always been once in a while streaks, that doesn't guarantee smooth sailing all the time, there is always crashes along and lucky days in-between and so forth.

You said it, all you need is discipline, for me that's everything. I compare it to sports, because in sports you have to have a lot of discipline and here in the game it's the same, only it's with money and even then you're more careful with money.

With that being said let me also add that when gambling, you should be open minded on the possibility of losses. This has been said millions and zillions of times in this thread that losses are inescapable whether we like it or not....... Accepting the possibility of losses will make you want to bet within you limit, don't think that coz you friend doubled her stake and won, that it would work for you, coz well it may not, gamble always has its risk....

That is exactly what I do as well gambling for fun. But sometimes, I also think to myself, 'I hope I get lucky too,' because I can't help but feel envious of others who win large amounts, especially when they are just beginners and yet experience that kind of success right away.

However, most of the time, it really is still just for fun, because I make it a point not to let myself get consumed by gambling. Of course, I don't want to become a gambling addict here in the crypto space.

Of course, the inability to accept losses and the mentality of excessive gambling definitely push a gambler towards addiction. It is absolutely true that the root of addiction is actually greed and the desire to get back the lost money. Winning is a process and something you continue to gamble so that you can win bet but still not getting the kind of results you are looking to get. I usually don't belong or believe that school of thoughts that people bet or play for fun, because what the gambler bears in mind before playing is to win so no one should tell you that he plays entirely just for fun without hoping to win, who wwill ever throw away his hard earned money via gambling for fun without hoping to win? Gambling is centered on luck and our luck differs in diverse ways, there are people that gamble for years and haven't won any tangible amount whereas there are people that will start playing today and win so luck differs for people. There is someone that used the last money he had for his mother's medication to bet so he can raise money for his medical bills and he won, what do we call that?  It's luck  so gambling is all about being lucky not how knowledgeable you are when it comes to betting. It's very difficult to get that kind of luck (we can win consecutively), and I think it's very rare for people to experience that. But don't let this distract you, meaning you change your mind by assuming you'll be able to win in the next game.

It's better to enjoy the victory than to keep playing even though we are in a very lucky situation. Because we never know when our luck will end, and usually in gambling luck will last very quickly, after which we will lose again.
