In my own opinion, there should be alternative to selling of bitcoin during this festive period by either buying those items gradually bit by bot over the year or over a long space of time. This will allow investors to minimise the rate at which they sell at loss during this period. Bitcoin is at $90k of which many investors who were consistent with their DCA buys definitely bought at over $120k. Investors should be more strategic even within this period and set aside the money for this festive period in fiat early enough (or even buy their requirements) before this hot period.

And I have to say this as well: this season shouldn't be the reason for selling your Bitcoin just to enjoy the festivities. Celebrating is good, but you also need to understand that after this season, life continues. Selling your Bitcoin, which has cost you so much to invest in and is meant for holding, is not worth it for a season you can't afford.

There’s a reason why you should plan your finances, instead of selling your bitcoin during this time, use your discretionary to create a reserve funds dedicated to Christmas expenses from the start of the year or mid year.

At this point nothing can be done, the only that can help here is for an investor not to pressure himself with a lot of things, even though they didn't sell a lot of their Bitcoin to celebrate this festive season, there will always be more festive seasons to celebrate. It's just like that, Christmas is always money consuming, and for families with larger number, the amount spent is even much more higher, and with the cost of things presently in the market, you can't get things in low prices, no way.

Howbeit, there should be a balance with what you get and how much you spend. A real investor would never think like that. It seems very simple. We can save money in advance to follow these aspects. If we save some amount of money then we will not have to sell Bitcoin anymore. An investor may never do that by selling his holdings. Those who do this may be a business.

As you mentioned, the current price of Bitcoin is $90,000 but many have bought it for $120,000. If they sell it now, they will lose a lot. In my opinion, everyone has a personal income to celebrate christmas and those who work are also given bonuses during this time. Selling during Christmas is not really  Bitcoin problem,  it’s a planning and cash-flow problem.  When people are forced to sell BTC at a loss it's simply because there was no clear separation between long-term savings and money meant for spending.  Cash flow for December expenses is very predictable because they happen every year.  In traditional finance, selling assets under pressure always leads to bad outcomes and Crypto just makes it a more obvious because Bitcoin is very liquid and easy to sell.

To avoid this loss,  Bitcoin should be mentally treated as untouchable long-term capital and not a backup wallet for festive spending. Christmas and charity spending should not be financed by Bitcoin at all and should be funded by fiat or lower volatility funds set aside during the pre-planning.  Also, a lot of the pressure comes from social expectations to overspend and not from the celebration itself.  A one day event should not cause the selling of an asset just because of the event.  It is an asset and should be sold in a long term timeframe rather than seasonal.

You don't refer to these set of people as investors. If you're buying bitcoin just to sell during Christmas for your expensive plan, then I'm sorry to say you're just wasting your time. Christmas is annual event and you can not buy and sell Bitcoin within this short period and realise reasonable profit. If your plan is to save for Christmas events and expenses, you should better do that in FIAT. You might end up with significant loss if the crypto market is not healthy during the event period as it is now and you'll probably find it difficult to get everything you planned done due to shortage of money. You're very correct but the problem is that there are people who lack proper planning. They first have the idea of investing over a long period of time maybe from January. Instead of saving up money in fiat that will allow them celebrate the festive period, they save all their funds in bitcoin just to get caught unaware and they end up selling at loss to handle the family call. If people will begin to understand that life does not end in Christmas I think they will become more financially wise and maintain a stable portfolio.

One thing that's certain is the fact that Christmas does not come to you unannounced. Right from January, you already know that you have eleven month left before December and Christmas and if you're intentional about your finances as you should, then what you should do should be to start early to make the right plan.

Christmas will always come and go and you have a lot of months to cope with. Inappropriate spending during the season regardless of the pressure to the point of using your asset to carter for your wants will only drain your investment and probably course you to start from square one over and over again. Talking about buying products or Items much earlier so as to avoid getting caught up with the frenzy of the season, products does have expiry dates and so they may not have the long shelf live to stay all year long before season of festivities, you may just have to wait till it is the period of festivities and then buy or probably a few months before so that you don't have expired products in your shelf and they turn to become a waste to your resources wise and all round.

I think such holder is not really knowledgeable about his investment because that implies weather the market is favourable or not such Holder will sell because it's target is Christmas celebration, at such has no option of holding.
