Just another movie director trying to display bitcoin and its content, I strongly think the movie will be about bitcoin because it’s the most popular cryptocurrency out there that they can use, bitcoin which is known to be good at returning huge profit over time so it fits there description more than any other cryptocurrency coin but the most important thing I will like to see in this movie is the password. I don’t understand what they mean about Password but strongly believes it’s a seed phrase that they want to portray as the password been lost. I would be eager to see how it’s going to be recovered, because most movies have actually got it wrong and misleading in the past

Seed phrase would be more appropriate, it seems the producers wanted a catchy title more than being correct. For them it’s just another fictional romcom movie for Christmas, don’t expect it to be a true representation of bitcoin.

Agreed high chance it's bitcoin. It's talking about a coin that suddenly explodes in price and worth million, no other coin come close and also limited kind of wallet exist.

The movie itself sounds pretty interesting, I bet there will be many things that crypto user can relate such as losing seed phrase LOL. Would be on my watchlist 100% hoping it won't fumble.

This has being the reality of many pioneer Bitcoiners though, it often comes with a different twist. Where you have several individuals with corrupt hard drives, lost devices and passwords, had coins on a currently none existent or modified website and more of those.

Without seeing the movie, the plot would be about how we view some little but yet important piece of technology and how we handle our security.

These two played a huge role in how individuals not only perceive but, handle cryptocurrency over the years and how it could have a huge impact in our life’s in years to come.

Some custodial crap most probably where they have the coin stored with a third party like a web wallet that is going out of business maybe.

In any case what I dislike about how in this movie or series episodes portray bitcoin is that they either only focus on the profit you gain from it "magically" going up, or its usage for illegal activities. While bitcoin is for neither of them. Bitcoin is the decentralized money, the only money that exists and nobody introduces it like that ever.

about Bitcoin, I think I heard about a true life story of a man whose story seems to be like what the OP said about the movie that involve the woman whose husband invested in Bitcoin.
What important is the movie to be use to educate people about the good things concern Bitcoin not spreading FUD because the entertainment space is one of the most influencing space in the world.

That they have been divorced already will even made the process more difficult to achieve getting the password, had it been they are together, it could have been more easier for them to narrow their search, but being divorced, even if the other party got to have the password, he may specifically pretend not to have seen it and cheated on the other, and once they can't get the access, everything is gone for good.

Since money is involved, they would have to come together again and seek means to get the password. I have sent some movies to people who wanted to know more about Bitcoin. This is a holiday period, I might have to watch the movie to see if it is worth introducing to someone. The heading about the price of the coin skyrocketing is a good catch but my reseravations is that it might make the coin look like a get rich quick scheme.

Yes, if would be about bitcoin but Netflix does not want people know that the coin because that means they are telling the story already.

But what if it is a meme coin or an alternative ltcoin that they won such huge amount, when they remember the password and they want to sell the coin, the value of the coin has dropped and they later known that they have lost the money.

I am just joking, if it is long term profit, definitely bitcoin will be best to be used in the movie.

The story might have been inspired by Stefan Thomas, the man who stored the private keys to 7,002 Bitcoin in an encrypted drive and forgot the password. The USB drive only allows 10 attempts before it’s permanently wiped, and he already made 8 attempts. It’s probably one of the most famous cases of lost Bitcoins along with the guy whose hard drive is in a landfill in the UK. I don’t expect this to be the most critically acclaimed movie, but I will probably put it on my watchlist when it comes out.

Already interested in this movie. From seeing the title of the movie and I just know this is my kind of movie, it will definitely be interesting and i think it's about Bitcoin because Bitcoin is the most popular coin in the world and it has been used in many movies before now.

The lady in the picture looks a bit old, I think using a younger lady would've been more better but since the movie is about a couple divorced years ago then the couples won't look young anymore.

The couples will have to work together on this to try and recover the password and may be on the way they will get another chance at love again.

I believe it's bitcoin and not shitcoins because majority of early investots who bought their bitcoin and forgot about it or lost the password to their wallet after a long time where able to access their wallet and saw how might their profits have generated to. Those that bought and hodli in the early days are also in orofit. I believe that's what the film is all about. The power law of bitcoin.

I'll find the movie interesting if they will use Bitcoin and not some shitcoins. Only bitcoin will tell the story they are trying to portray well. Leaving an insignificant amount of bitcoin in a wallet and coming back years later to see massive growth is something we all can relate to when bitcoin is involved.

Most of these movie producers when producing crypto related movies always try to avoid using Bitcoin directly in their storyline, they will rather use fictional stories that lack technical accuracies in them. I am yet to see a crypto movie that is more relatable and very realistic.

Like, what kind of wallet are they using to have only 1 attempt left? What will happen if this attempt is still wrong?
Or is it not related to the Bitcoin or wallet?

On the one hand, it must have been a shock for them to learn that the coins in their wallet were worth millions, but on the other hand, they must have been devastated to lose their password, rendering those millions of dollars unusable because they could no longer access their wallet. Perhaps in the end, both parties will regret their fate and perhaps blame each other, leading to a renewed dispute. We don't know how the story will end in the short film, but it seems like it would be very emotional to watch if they can't find the previously lost password.
