For this specific one, I would personally choose riding a bus, instead of walking, but I also think that is the wrong choice. Just because I prefer it, doesn't mean that it is the right thing, I agree that walking is better. If it's like just 30-40 minutes of walk, every morning and every evening you should walk, that would be 1 hour of walk everyday and you would get much healthier.

It is not about money, sure you would save some, but how expensive can a bus ride be? It would basically be cheap, so it is not about money at all. But if you can walk everyday, and keep doing that five times a week, then you are going to get a lot more and you will do a lot better and your body will thank you for it. I wish I could walk an hour everyday, it would be so great.

personally I'm going to do my possible best to dave time especially if I have other things to do,  the reason why I said that is simple,  if I know that the distance is walkable and decide to take a car home it means that I have other important things to do with my time. Another reason that is totally different is the fact that I might feel exhausted and will want to make things easier for myself instead of walking and getting stressed out more I take a car instead, this doesn't just save time but it also helps me avoid stressing myself more. The money you are going to spend on transportation doesn't beat the fact that you actually saved time to do other things for yourself

Sometimes when you are coming home from work or school, and you know that you can technically walk home instead of riding the bus or whatever commute you prefer do you also consider the time and convenience?

Let’s say you save a few money when you walk home, but the time spent walking is it worth it? It’s a bit complicated because walking is healthy but when you get home you’re tired when you could be more productive for a few more minutes or hours. What do you choose to spend, time or money?

When I come home from work, I never walk because it takes about two hours and time is too valuable for me to just waste it. Yes, walking will save me a few coins (I can neglect this, it's cheap) and even if I find 4 thousand extra steps, but why would I do that? along the way, I may get hurt, foam, a dog may attack, my sneakers may tear, and the like. Why would I do that? That's why I either take the bus or a friend takes me home from work. And the most important thing is that sitting in a comfortable place I can read the forum.

I also liked to be driven, until I bought a car myself. It's really stupid to deny that a car or a bus, subway, etc. save a lot of time. Also, if you yourself do not drive the transport you are going to use to get home, then this is a double benefit. The only thing is that public transport is a dirty place where you don't want to spend an extra minute. Except that I like to be on buses in the summer, because there are a lot of girls there, and often I could look at one of the beauties for the whole trip. They distracted me from reading the crypto news Smiley

Sometimes you don't need to think of the time or then convinient, you can just take it as part of exercise. Sometimes your body needs that trecking to keep your body fit. You might have money to pay for comfort but vhises to deprive yourself of that convinient to work in yourself. This is to say it is not weon if someone chose to walk down home instead of payment. Like me sometimes when I am walking down the road, some guys try to offer me a ride but I tell them I don't want because I just needed the walking. so it's not a big deal afterall.
I would say this is a problem for the rich people, not everyone. Sure they could take some time off, and not work as hard as us because they have the money for it so eating healthy and working out at the gym is something they can afford to do. I work 12 hours a day, when am I suppose to take a break and do any of that?

I can't, and it would be not that easy at all, most of the time, between breakfast, dinner, some breaks so I do not go mad, and the 12 hour work all combined with sleeping, usually I end up not even sleeping 8 hours a day let alone have free time. This is why rich people could take care of their health and have time, but for people like me, we have to work hard to make sure we can pay for everything and not bankrupt.

Time is a very valuable resource; if money is gone, it can be replenished, but if time is gone, not a second will come back. Many of us spend time on the wrong things, and in the end, we feel that we did not do the right thing.

Anyway, I completely agree with you because when we had school holidays, we used to walk without eating anything for five or ten coins and save that money. At that time, we used to talk to our classmates. But that habit remains with me. I have grown up, but my habit remains unchanged.

For example, if someone had invested in Bitcoin without waiting for a while, many would have been on the verge of success. Time and money are both valuable, but time is more valuable than money.

The bus is cheap. So it's not money. And 30-40 minutes isn't that painful. So it's not really time either. Which is to say, we're looking at something else completely. That's more difficult to name because it doesn't have a clean label.

Comfort infrastructure. That's as close as I have to a name I have for it. We've built up so many systems around reducing friction, that the friction itself becomes like a problem to solve, even when the friction was the point. Even where the friction was good for us. Even when when we remove it slowly makes us worse people over a very, very long period of time in ways we don't notice until we look back.

And we don't look back enough. That's a whole other issue but related.

I wish I was the type of person to walk everyday. Walking isn't hard. Becoming the sort of person who always does hard things, even little hard things, that's the actual project. The walk is almost besides the point.

Thirty minutes. Both ways, an hour, yeah. Your grandparents didn't do just that to get water. I'm not saying suffer. I'm saying that the baseline of what we call effort has fallen so far that we've begun calling a morning walk aspirational.

The bus is fine. It'll get you there. But "there" is just a location. The walk was taking you to somewhere different.

I will buy a bicycle in that case because it will be profitable for me to do so compared to spending a certain amount of money on transportation every day. Suppose the distance from your home to the office is not very far but you have to spend 1 hour on foot but after finishing the office you do not have the ability to walk much. But a bicycle will save you time and money and will be good for your health.
