December 12, 2010 — Satoshi Nakamoto left his final public message on BitcoinTalk.

15 years later, Bitcoin has matured into a core value-transfer network.
It now operates as a global settlement layer with trillion-dollar liquidity and growing integration into traditional finance.

Today, 8 out of 10 largest neobanks already use stablecoin rails for “instant” internal operations.
Large fintechs quietly rely on onchain liquidity systems, even if they never mention the word “crypto” in public.

The blockchain has become an invisible backbone for global payments.

But one major problem remains painfully visible.

Privacy.

Satoshi understood early how critical metadata is.
We now see the same issue amplified at a business scale.

Public ledgers reveal far more than people realize:
– transaction patterns
– counterparties
– treasury structures
– operational timing
– reserve locations and movement
– financial strategy signals

Blockchain analytics have matured faster than privacy tooling.
Deanonymization, transaction clustering, turnover profiling — these are now industrial technologies available on demand.
The result is simple: without proper confidentiality infrastructure, onchain operations leak sensitive business intelligence.

My take from 10+ years of working with business payment infrastructure:

Confidentiality must become a configurable parameter, not a radical choice between “transparent public chain” and “privacy coin”.

The future will not welcome “hiding” or avoiding compliance. The stage is being set for client-side privacy controls — tools that let companies transact securely yet compliantly without automatically exposing internal data to competitors, attackers, or any third parties.

Businesses need privacy that works inside existing operational and regulatory frameworks.

This is the gap many of us in the industry are working to close.

If anyone wants to discuss practical confidentiality models for real business use — happy to continue the conversation here.

December 12, 2010 — Satoshi Nakamoto left his final public message on BitcoinTalk.
It's better if you quote his last post in Bitcoin forum. That post does not say anything about his plan of departure from the community but in his email to Gavin Andresen, he revealed about this idea.

I wish you wouldn’t keep talking about me as a mysterious shadowy
figure, the press just turns that into a pirate currency angle. Maybe
instead make it about the open source project and give more credit to
your dev contributors; it helps motivate them.

I’ve moved on to other things and will probably be unavailable. Here’s
the CAlert key and broadcast code in case you need it. You should
probably give it to at least one or two other people. There are a few
long time users who are always around all the time.

Bitcoin creator Satoshi disappeared from this Bitcoin forum on December 13, 2010, and remained inactive. Until now, no one knows whether this legend is alive or dead. But if this legend knows that he has risen from the shadows to number 11 of the richest people in the world, then it seems incredible to me how he has remained in the shadows until now. I don't think this legend is still alive. It's impossible for a living person to be in hiding after seeing so much success.

Satoshi Nakamoto's last post was on December 12, 2010.

Edited his last post on 13 December 2010.

Then December 13th will be considered as his last day on the forum.

Practical aspects of privacy for business use? Okay... I'll give my opinion on this! 🙋

In my opinion, the optimal option for business would be a combination of Bitcoin, Monero, and cash.

I've been researching the Monero cryptocurrency (I'm not an advanced user, but I know a little about it). I've come to the conclusion that Monero is more suitable for business purposes than Bitcoin. Monero's hidden blockchain (Bitcoin's is transparent), anonymity, privacy, the ability for third parties to view incoming transactions, and so on-all of these features are actually very convenient to use. Of course, there are limitations. For example, Monero doesn't allow transferring large sums of money in a single transaction (this could easily lead to a loss of anonymity). There are other nuances to working with Monero, too. But overall, I believe this cryptocurrency deserves the attention of any businessman already working with Bitcoin.

Why is Bitcoin necessary in this combination? It's simple: Bitcoin's price is less volatile than Monero's.  Bitcoin is more popular than Monero. Bitcoin is like having your own bank in your pocket. It's the foundation of the entire system... Why bother with cash in this situation? 💰 Cash allows you to interact directly with the traditional financial system (in most countries, this is legal and not prohibited). Moreover, in terms of anonymity and privacy, cash is even better than Monero.

Bitcoin is a great cryptocurrency, but in my opinion, Bitcoin alone is currently insufficient to ensure anonymity and privacy.

I think Satoshi's message is clear: to set a high bar based on how valuable privacy is. If he's alive, he probably has no intention of revealing his identity, right? Why would he? To be persecuted? To have his privacy violated? It doesn't make sense to me. Most famous people say the same thing: it's fine to be famous and have a lot of money, but it's overwhelming not being able to go to a park, to the movies with your family, or out to dinner without people watching and interrupting you. And that's without even mentioning the potential political persecution this could generate.

It is possible for some people to not get on the public expectations because they are successful. Some people just want to live their life in peace and in private over any amount of success you will give them.
If Satoshi is one man I don’t think you will  be getting it right to believe he is dead because he is living privately over opening claiming the success of bitcoin.
