I am a Japanese online casino player. About a year ago, I faced multiple unfair withdrawal refusals from various casinos. While I was struggling with these issues, I met a person on this forum who claimed to be a “lawyer intermediary.” However, that person turned out to be a scammer. I became a victim of a fraudulent so-called legal intermediary.

Because I had asked this intermediary to handle court cases for 17 different casinos, I ended up losing a large amount of money in supposed legal fees and wasted an entire year. As a result, I currently have almost no money left.

For this reason, I am looking for a lawyer who can work on a pure contingency-fee (no win, no fee) basis so that I do not have to pay any upfront costs.
Well-known law firms and support organizations that come up on the internet, including SBGOK, have already declined my case, and I am in a very difficult situation.

If anyone here can offer advice or assistance, I would greatly appreciate your help.

The total amount involved across the 17 cases is approximately $122,000.

Can you please let us know the name of the account on this forum that was claiming to help you?

You will not find what you are looking for here, but if you let us know who scammed you, we can at least prevent them from scamming other people in the future. Thank you.

Where are the casinos registered?

If you can't do aml/kyc with a casino you'll probably raise up red flags with a lawyer before you start. I don't know of any cases where someone's won against a casino, I'd be interested in knowing if any of the casinos you dealt with are European though it'd probably be a nice breakthrough if we got one to back down (assuming it's the aml/kyc trap that often gets people).

I don't know if this approach will help you find the right lawyer. You opened the first similar thread before, but you didn't try to interact with other members. I think you're closing yourself off to finding possible alternative solutions.

I believe I have seen a similar thread in the scam accusation board where a BitcoinTalk user admitted to opening scam accusations against casinos on behalf of other players. Since holydarkness helps people get their money back from the casinos, that guy takes this chance. That user charge the player some commission upon getting the funds back. I am not sure if that user is related to this thread, but I am not surprised that some people scam the casino victims as well.

I am looking for a lawyer who can work on a pure contingency-fee (no win, no fee) basis so that I do not have to pay any upfront costs.
It is very hard for anyone (even if he is willing to provide his services) to go through this route since you have already mentioned that
Quote
Well-known law firms and support organizations that come up on the internet, including SBGOK, have already declined my case
May I know the reason of their decline (if they provided any).
It will be good if you can make a detailed post (on individual case bases) about the exact reason casinos provided you for not paying. I have a hunch that there is a common issue. Try to include as much details as you could including screenshots of conversations, deposit receipt, etc.

The only advice that I can give you is to move; no lawyers will do a pure contingency-fee (no win, no fee) basis, especially if it is gambling, because very few lawyers are aware of the casino's anti-cheat works and how issues on KYC and multi accounting, you will need a specialized lawyer for this.
It's better to name these casinos, post your evidence, and let the community weigh in on the issue. If your complaints are valid, the community will support you and give these casinos bad feedback if they have announcements here.

Woah, that is a whole lot of cases, across different casinos. I honestly have a lot of questions, did all of these withdrawal refusals happen within the same span of time? And i am curious why 17 different casinos would refuse your withdrawal. Did you refuse to submit KYC when requested?

That said, i am not a lawyer, but even if you manage to get someone to handle these cases, do you think they would agree to your terms? Payments based on their success in the cases. $122,000 is a whole lot of money, but if you want to pursue cases against 17 different casinos, prolly scattered around the world, don't you think you would spend more than what you are owed in litigation costs.

This doesn't sound like a normal case tbh. Sounds like he wants to ask every casino he ever lost money in to get the funds back. I mean who else would have disputes with 17 different sites, doesn't make too much sense right?

I guess his "defense" is that he is residing in Japan and actually gambling (on or offline) is illegal here, if you exclude Pachinko, horse/bike/boat racing and so on.
So for this reason I don't think that anybody can or will help OP. About the scammer, being so easy to scam is bad man, you should have know better since this is still an anonymous forum.

Like someone else already requested, please list all of those 17 casinos here. I'll see if some or any of them are within my reach. I'll try to get a better insight of your situation, from their POV if they're happen to be reachable by me, and whether or not we can remedy the situation. And no, I don't do no-win-no-fee method, I do total no fee, regardless of the outcome.

OP, you are not going to find the lawyer you want here, the only people who will contact you are going to be scammers, just like the old "lawyer".
no legit lawyer is going to waste their time dealing with 17 different cases (probably across different jurisdiction) just to get a % from $122k when they can make much more doing other work for paying clients.
this is probably not what you want to hear, and i'm not trying to be harsh on you, but unfortunately this is how the legal world works.

your best option right now is to follow the suggestions others have made and see whether you can resolve at least a few of the cases with casinos that are active on the forum.
for the rest, you can submit complaints on casino.guro or askgamblers if you have not done that already.

How did you fall for that fake lawyer thing OP? That is one obvious scam because no lawyer advertises their practice online in some forum because it is a bit undignified to do especially if you are a lawyer which is a professional that holds up some standards. I think that it will be in your best interest to not look for a lawyer online, rather check for it locally so you have no chance of getting scammed again especially with that much money involved, you might want to look for a lawyer that you can contact physically and not just online, I am sure that there is already a lot of lawyer out there that specifically practices cases like this so you probably would not have a hard time finding them although your area could be a factor but I assume you are from a city. I do hope you will get the settlement that you deserve though, also you might want to drop the name of this scammer "lawyer" so people in this forum becomes aware.

If his story is eve true, it usually happens to some people who are gullible and in a desperate situation. I have seen dumber situations where someone who is desperate to get back their money that has just been scammed from them just sends more money to online crypto recovery scams, and they end up getting double scammed.

To prove the truthfulness of your post, you need to post or name the lawyer intermediary who is a member of this forum; otherwise, we will assume that this is just your alibi to create this pure contingency-fee (no win, no fee) lawyer basis thread and you also need to th ename of those casinos, and your evidences so in case there are interested parties to take up your case they will know what to expect.

I am more curious about the number of cases. It feels like there is something wrong with the OP. I have played in a lot of casinos, and I have never been banned or had any problems with any casinos. Even if something happened before, I no longer remember it. Either OP do something questionable, which is why the casinos confiscate his funds, or he gambles too much and plays at hundreds of casinos every month, which could be the reason he had issues with 17 different sites.

Most common issues with the sportsbooks are that the player try arbitrage betting and end up getting limited on different platforms, and then some of them confiscate their balance. I don't understand how else they can get into trouble with that many casinos.
