Let me introduce myself a bit, I am a working woman who has been freelancing jobs for the last few years, and I have been noticing Bitcoin in many places whenever I do my research for the job. So, I asked some friends to explain to me about bitcoin and everyone gave their own version of what bitcoin is and other specifics.

And one of them gave me the link to this forum and said this is where I can learn everything about bitcoin so I registered a few days ago and checked out some of the pages and here I am asking to teach me the basics that I should know about bitcoin and anything else if needed.

I don't have any Bitcoin yet, and I am just curious about learning more about it for now.

Hello,

welcome to the journey to bitcoin, and welcome to this forum.

As you, I learned bitcoin this year, and as you, a friend wanted to start to save with bitcoin.
So, beside teaching sessions, I created for her a guide about bitcoin.

But the guide becomes a (bigger) document today, called;
A Bitcoin (Mini)-Guide.

Here the link to the PDF file :

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1CO2GFpBdrdO8yQh0JGV8pHNZT5Avi1oo

Also the link inside the forum about the (Mini)-Guide https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5567482.0

You can follow the announcement for next release V4.0 (certainly at Christmas).

Wish you a good learning, do not hesitate to ask.

You can with the resources from the forum and the pinned threads that you can see from this section of beginners and help.

Another source you can read is this: https://bitcoin.org/en/getting-started

But if you want more to read about a lot of things, you can read Andreas Antonopoulos' 'Mastering Bitcoin'

Do you want a personal tutor, OP?
What's wrong with the fact that by coming to the forum, you have the wonderful opportunity to read, read, and reread, and then ask about a pressing issue you're struggling with? You're asking for help without doing anything upfront. You should understand that you might be offered personal training, but you should also recognize that no one is going to teach you this for free, wasting their time. Furthermore, there's a high risk of falling victim to a scammer. So, should we copy everything from the forum into your thread?

Bitcoin journey is personal, and if you are interested in it, you must have done some research at least to know the basic things, and this is how the journey begins. The journey begins with you making the effort to gain knowledge. You don't need to wait for people to provide you with the knowledge that you are expected to have by yourself.

If you rely too much on people for help, you will be taken advantage of. Going through this journey, you are responsible for completing it alone because it is personal. You only have the opportunity to ask questions about things that seem difficult for you to understand.

I don't have any Bitcoin yet, and I am just curious about learning more about it for now.
Learning about bitcoin is not something that's deficult to go about and if you're of a willing mind, by just going through the different boards on the forum, you can easily learn about bitcoin and if the resource is available, you can also get started in investing in bitcoin.

You can just do a simple search to know what bitcoin is about, where is the best place to save your coin, how to go about your investment so you don't loose. What volatility is all about and how to position yourself such that the effect of volatility doesn't affect you negatively. In all, your bitcoin journey grows really well when you engage in forum discussion and you're ready to learn from already invested people. Just use the search button on the forum to carry out the neccesary search on what you want to learn and if there's any questions you want to ask, you're free to put it across here and people will be willing to help out.

There is no crime in asking questions to know more about something because "the more you ask, the more you know." Not only that, but your personal research on the topic of enquiries also matters because that would also expose you to things and also knowledge you have not gained. I will also advise you not to depend only on people's explanations; you should also do your findings as well.

I will provide some links here on this platform from which you can get materials and videos for your understanding.

Pmalek: Bitcoin Education for Beginners: The Sovereign University

EmVi: New youtube guide on bitcoin for newcomers

The above links could help, as they also contain more links to other articles and materials to help you understand better about Bitcoin and crypto as a whole.

Welcome to the forum and i trust this is going to be a very good avenue to affect your Bitcoin journey positively and definitely to a point where you will consider yourself an experienced Bitcoiner. there are so many things you will need to know as the basics of Bitcoin, i may not be able to get all of them but I'm hoping as others contribute on this thread, they will get to mention that which i did not mention . One of the many basics you should know that i will highlight will be how to acquire and safe guard your Bitcoin.

Firstly i wish to bring to your knowledge that Bitcoin is a digital asset so it has no physical tangibility, hence you cannot touch or feel it, it is stored in wallets and not like your regular traditional bank accounts, although some banks of recent are trying to introduce platforms where you can store your Bitcoin with them but that is out of this context. Bitcoins are bought or acquired in grocery stores or traditional markets but there are several ways to acquire Bitcoin amongst which is been gifted, been earned as a paycheck, been given as a reward and been purchased from exchanges or local vendors, these are the few amongst other ways of acquiring of Bitcoin. Storage and security is literally simple if you abide by simple rules of not sharing your secret seed phrase that gives you access to your wallet where you Hold your Bitcoin, if you protect the access as much as possible, you can be sure that your Bitcoin will be safe to a very good extent. For your wallet and storage, it is always advised that it is best to store your Bitcoin in a non custodial wallet and not on an exchange wallet and if you can afford to, get a cold wallet and store your Bitcoin if it has a very huge worth. You can proceed for further research with the piece of information i have shared so far to getting you started.

Another source you can read is this: https://bitcoin.org/en/getting-started
This source is really helpful to learn in Bitcoin and how it works.
There are 31 languages that you can choose for your convenient way in understanding about Bitcoin, for sure it's easy for you to understand all basic information about Bitcoin.

Just a friendly reminder OP, be careful of anyone offering a help like your personal tutoring, we don't know if that could lead into a possible scam or expose your personal information.  Just do it yourself or DYOR.

You should pay close attention to and read the posts of the senior brothers of this forum, you will be able to gather enough knowledge from here. However, the pinned posts of this forum are at the top of each section, if you keep reading them carefully, then you will definitely be able to learn something good from here, you will get all kinds of information about Bitcoin and Bitcoin holding and the rules and regulations of the forum in these pinned posts, so I think it is very important for you to make these posts. If you want to gather knowledge, such posts will definitely play a more effective role in your favor.

You should help yourself we can only be there along the way to correct you when you come open.
As a freelancer you should be good with researching because you will need lots of that right now. You have a lot to be positive about because if you are genuinely just picking interest in Bitcoin then you are not late.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1631151.0 this post will help you research but also search for more thread that can also help you with your Bitcoin journey.

Welcome to the forum BTC_Bae!

learn me a bitcoin is a good starting point for beginners. Don't be put off by the appearance of the website. It looks too simple but that doesn't matter. It's a good place to learn. Start with the 'Beginners' section and slowly go down the bitcoin rabbit hole from there.

Unfortunately, the first one won't help her. The Sovereign University website has been down for some time already. I don't think it will return.
The site was very similar to a French platform about bitcoin, but from what I can see, the French site is also offline.

You don't need a tutor because this forum is like a teacher where you can learn everything about cryptocurrency and other related topics. For now, since you are a newbie then you should just start at the basics and don't forget to read about the forum rules which wi surely help your journey in this forum. Don't worry about it since everyone starts at being newbie or beginners but if you do have some questions or something you find it hard to understand is you can create a thread here in the forum to ask about it and many forum members will surely help you understand it.

I can see that a lot of users have already provided some helpful link for you already to start your bitcoin investment. Yes the link might be much but it will help one way or the other you can even try to watch about bitcoin basic knowledge on YouTube it will help to give you some brief intro of how bitcoin works , then you can DYOR , and more importantly stay active in the forum and go through users post and replies .

Since you are new to this I would recommend you to not trust anyone blindly on internet. You will meet many scammers and frauds who will try to scam you at some point. Try to avoid anything that's too good to be true.

I don't have any Bitcoin yet, and I am just curious about learning more about it for now.
knowledge here is free and open, if you are ready then in little hours of your day, you can learn few things from this forum.

I think you are on the safer side, joining the forum before starting to invest, will teach you how to avoid newbies mistakes that usually cause them to lose bitcoin in the process. Stick to threads and topics that majorly discuss Bitcoin, read and ask questions when you need help, no need to PM anyone, for your good everything should be online.

Such a deep thought. Obviously the forum board sections is labelled according to their categories of discussion which should be easily navigating for beginners who as much are readable while questions may be necessary to be asked at where is complicated.
Definitely it will be tedious for the Op to cope with the situation if she have to rely her learning of bitcoin on individuals contributions on a specific thread.
Moreover links and references will be provided by members who is willing to help and how sure if all efforts won't be futile efforts.
However, learning to navigate the forum yourself or being concerned to navigate the forum will help a lot for self learning because most essential materials for beginners are already in existence here.
Though questionnaire is also a good learning approach.

You have come to the right place. You are welcome to join here. You will get an idea of all the things about Bitcoin here, you just have to be patient. There are so many things to know about Bitcoin that it is not possible in a few days. You can read the topics of any topic you want to know or understand and if you want to ask anything, you can ask questions in Feel Free Mind. However, there are some rules of the forum, keep mind  about them. I have been here for a few months, I have learned a lot, I still try to learn new things. Because the subject of Bitcoin is so vast that the more time you spend here, the more you will know.
