I support freedom of speech, but that doesn’t mean it’s okay to be disrespectful or to bully others. If you wouldn’t do something in person, you shouldn’t do it online.

Why are you guys letting what random people on the internet say about you become significant? All he can do is talk. Even if he somehow speaks about your insecurities, they're just words, and he is miles away from where you are, so why are you giving so much power to a person who knows nothing about you?
Except that the person is making an allegation against you, everything else he's saying in the form of an insult is not significant. If you cant match the energy, simply avoid.

I have had people on the forum insult me directly and call me names. I simply muted and avoided the ones I could, since I am the "bigger person" and can't exchange words with them.  I can't start running to the principal's office whenever someone insults me on the internet. Their opinions about me dot matter. The only time things like this can be taken seriously is when the person is making an allegation against you. Something that can damage your name (or in this case, your account), then you can respond.

The internet, like Bitcoin, is free for all. Lunatics, retards, geniuses, criminals, and law-abiding citizens are all free to use the Internet, so you can't expect it to be a cool-headed place. You just got to filter what you take in and what you take seriously.

After considering everything that’s been said, I agree with most of the stances presented here (Alot of good/practical advice from members here). That said, I lean toward Howard’s side in this discussion. While there might occasionally be justification for being mean, trolling, harrassing or bullying, such cases are rare and often ineffective in their execution. Respectfully, there’s always, most certainly, a better way.

You are spamming your own thread by replying separately on each post with same content. You are violating the forum rules.

Your idea is good and I wonder why does the community wants to ignore cyber bullying or harassment while it can be moderated to the point that punishable so that people will stop acting like an ass.

I knew they are just following with the flow to some DT that suggesting “grow a thick skin” because they want conflict with other DT.

People with high ego don’t know how to get bullied because they are the bully. They are seeking on each other support because it’s their nature which is bullying.

The solution of the community is to ignore the problem rather than deal with it that’s why DT to DT fight like a kid when there’s a dumb argument or a wild dog user just throwing baseless negative trust to other user because some DT behave like that too so they consider it as normal or “fucking freedom of speech”.  Grin

If I could I would temporarily ban you for some time, in the hopes you use the "free time from forum" to get a few brain cells together to read and understand forum rules which are required to prevent such an annoyance like you displayed today.

You deliberately ignored and violated rule #32 of Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ in a quite unprecedented manner. How could you possibly think that your "Thank you for your feedback" together with (of course Roll Eyes) full-quotes spamming here is of any value for anyone. Please, stop this!

I would also argue that this also violates rule #1.

I've reported all your rule #32 breaking nonsense. Call me a cyberbully if that makes you happy. I don't care if you call me names...

Post edit: consecutive posts by OP have been deleted by mod that separated my posts. I do pay attention to forum rule #32.

I pity your continued pathetic behavior. You either are incapable or deliberately unwilling to respect forum rules. Under normal circumstances you'd already be on my ignore list, but I make an exception extra for you. You literally asked for it: I will closely monitor your forum rule violations and report any of them. Do I enjoy this? Absolutely not!

The game you play here today is of no value for the forum, at least that's how I perceive it. I doubt other participants or readers of this thread enjoy your endless full-quotes thanks and needless consecutive posts.

Oh and you can freely call me cyberbully again and again. Just go ahead and embarrass yourself further.

I have small hopes that you might learn from your mistakes, but that's up to you. Maybe some moderator will have the balls to show you what consequences it might have if you continue to ignore forum rules. I don't have high hopes for the latter but anyway it's worth a try...

The rule of Thank you is more important than the topic? Cyberbully!
I'm not trying to attack anyone here. The point is simply about keeping the discussion readable and engaging. I bet you if we all made multiple consecutive replies  in a row you won't want to engage in such thread, because it makes the thread  cluttered, people automatically lose interest, and the conversation itself suffers.

The very reason spacing replies out or consolidating thoughts into one post helps everyone. This has little or nothing to do with authority or "thank you" rather channelled more towards preserving the quality and purpose of the discussion, in line with the spirit of the unofficial Rule #32 as pointed out by @Cricktor

Report CyberBullying on the Forum

Cyberbullying is not allowed. What is cyberbullying? Examples include threats, stalking, harassment, hate, or exploitation. If you experience or witness cyberbullying, report it to moderators to help keep the community safe. Recommend how the forum can monitor and stop this behavior.

If you decide to post, keep your comments on the topic and explain how your advice is helpful

Trolling is considered cyberbullying - Rule #3

➡️ If the forum allows Cyberbullying a moderator will delete my post
Maybe just incase you've not been told, simply grow a think skin, this forum uphold one thing, and that is "freedom of speech", and you and I know it very well that where people are free to say what they like the way they want to say it, some words, comments may come out as bullying, this is absolutely unavoidable.

So, if you must survive on this forum, learn to ignore and don't allow what any user say about you, or about your posting style bother you and or discourage you from doing your best, one thing you should always be careful for is making sure you do not break any of the forum rules, if at any point you feel you are being bullied, bully back if you can or simply ignore and move to something else more important to you, this is an anonymous forum don't forget.

Life is the greatest of teachers, boys and girls.  You get the test first, then you get the lesson
I want this printed on a tile on the wall Cheesy

As much as I'd like to take credit for the saying, my brain at the best of times seems like it just crawled out of the sea and there's no way I would have come up with it.  I could take a big crayon and write it like a dunce wherever you like though.

It's not all about me, but I'm curious: are you talking about me there?
Are you kidding me right now??? You of all people? Heck No! It's far from you. You are even one of the few members I like and respect in the forum. Your way is liberal, and your correction is unique. And even if you are strict sometimes, there's difference between being strict/factual and being uncultured and mean. The latter partly represent the character of the person I was referring to, and I used "partly" because, psychologically, he is worse in my assessment.
<snip>
Can you see that this is not your character?

People are usually a bad judge of themselves unless they've been given enough hardship in life to allow long periods of self-reflection.  I've had such periods and still find myself clubbed quite badly by my own hand--so thank you for the objective perspective.  Yes, I really really did think you were describing me.

Howard here and his friend Kazkaz27 have a difficult time with this word, "bullying."  They confuse it with brutal honesty all the time.  They also like to use the word as a defense mechanism... almost like they are trying to set someone up, perhaps the forum as a whole, for legal recourse.  Huh

What's really rich about this topic is the fact that what he considers cyberbullying is why I changed his trust from black to red, as it was more important than the 2 coins he paid for and received.  Of course I received retaliatory red trust. Roll Eyes  I asked Howard several times to give a reason for his actions.  The only answers he gave were bible quotes etc.

Is howardsentell a bully himself?  This would be me finding him to be hypocritical on 2 different topics in back to back days.

This pic is a snip from a thread I will link below it.

Here is the thread it came from:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5566907.0

The OP of that thread is definitely not one of my favorites around here, but the pics are legit regardless.

howardsentell, Kazkaz27 and their "poor me" claims all over this forum are getting out of hand.  I've been hunting scammers in the goods and collectible sections for years... something about these 2 is off for sure.

You should merge already this post to your old post above because you are violating the forum rules if you keep this comment stands the same way you suggest above given the current circumstances.
No, I disagree to have to merge my posts which were separated by five consecutive posts of OP which were deleted and not merged by a moderator due to OP's forum rule violations. I didn't post consecutive posts, so didn't violate rule #32. It now only looks as if I did so.

I don't think anyone is obliged to merge his posts when the inbetween posts got deleted for whatever reasons. And if I would've merged my posts it would alter the reason for my second post which was a direct response to OP's continued ignorance of rule #32 even after he was informed about his violations.

I had reported his four consecutive posts inbetween mine. I didn't know that a moderator would decide to delete all five posts of OP. They were sort of zero-value, so a mod or other reporting users were apparently annoyed enough of his nonsense.

You can check the topic history here: https://bitlist.co/search?topic_id=5568272&limit=20

I decided to comment here because I find your interpretation of rule #32 a bit odd. YMMV.

Maybe OP will start to whine that we're off-topic again because he calls out every cyber breeze that blows to his head as cyberbullying. If you behave shitty and annoy people in the forum, get some corrective words, continue to do annoying posting behavior, what do you expect? That everybody applauds? Not likely to happen.

The problem is sometimes with people who just don't want or can't acknowledge that they did something wrong. And if called out, perceive it as cyberbullying. That's a bit of a too lazy handling from the "victim" as they see themselves. Look at OP's BPIP profile:
So far 110 posts and 95 deleted by moderators. That speaks for itself.

Of course it's possible to stumble upon some really nasty people who have a habit of having "bad days" and who rant and yell at those they chose to target.

My advise: show solid evidence and reflect a situation from every angle. Don't exclude yourself, nobody is perfect.

You seem to be continually doing consecutive posts - please read the forum rules closely, and not just quote the ones that you feel suit you.

32. Posting multiple posts in a row (excluding bumps and reserved posts by the thread starter) is not allowed.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.1000

And FYI - continually quoting entire posts can be very difficult to read and rather off putting. You can delete a lot of the quoted posts easily.

Could you share your perspective on this topic? Additionally, are you taking any actions to help prevent cyberbullying?

Why does redundancy occur in these discussions? I have observed that many members post comments without explaining how they can contribute. Their remarks are often unrelated to the topic. Although they reference rules, they do not consistently adhere to them.

RULE #2 NO OFF-TOPIC POST.
