Another strange competition created by FIFA.

The competition's bracket is a bit odd. At the top, they only have Paris Saint-Germain, with no other competitors. Meanwhile, in the lower bracket, we see several teams vying for a chance to face Paris Saint-Germain in the final, a competition that is not competitive at all.

The upcoming match between Flamengo & Pyramids doesn't interest me at all, but if it was just for betting purposes, I would pick Flamengo without watching the match.

I have never watched it and not following it up. From the image you presented, PSG is the strong team among all. FIFA is bringing new tournaments for every teams and countries to participate. The different Champions from different continents as clubs playing this competition.

This tournament probably came to fill the gap left by the Club World Cup, which will now take place every four years. I think it’s very valid, and it’s always good to have tournaments where both South American and European teams play. I even think the Club World Cup should be held every two years. Today, Flamengo qualified for the final against PSG.

This is club football. Why is it not FiFA intercontinental club cup 2025 but what is the essence of an intercontinental cup by FIfA when this same year Chelsea won the FIFA club World Cup.

I don’t think this is a new competition, this is the competition I think the world club cup should replace, Real Madrid are the current holders and winners of the UCL automatically are in the finals or semifinal I can’t remember.

Idk what this competition is about but I will check later. I also don't know why Fifa keep creating shit ton of competitions and tournaments that nobody really needs or want. It's the same way I don't understand why we have the Nations league. Most of these competitions just adds fatigue to clubs participating in them. However, for this one, since PSG will be participating, it might be worth keeping an eye on for a bit.

The only major tournament I'm looking forward to is the 2026 world cup.

This is an annual competition, it will be held every year

I don't know if you remember, but there was an Intercontinental Cup that was played from 1960 to 2004
which for many years was played in Tokyo, Japan, under the name Toyota Cup, where the Libertadores champion and the Champions League champion competed.
It is a cup well known to Brazilians

I thought they completely scrapped this format, but it appears that they just rebranded the original Club World Cup name into this one. Anyway, I know most users here will probably bet on PSG winning the game, but considering that Flamengo beat Chelsea ^{[the winner of the new Club World Cup format]} in the group stages of the Club World Cup, I'm predicting they'll be the surprise winner of this match.

This new league certainly won't be very interesting unless FIFA offers a lot of big things to improve this league, I myself am not really interested in watching it, the aim is good, it's just that FIFA doesn't yet understand what its orientation is for, if it's for money, like what you said, that's very bad, it's not increasing the community's potential and love for football.

However, if this tournament becomes very official and becomes a world recognized league like the World Cup, it will be very big indeed and a lot of money will definitely come into this space, there will be a lot of sponsors too because the market is very wide, not only on one continent, it should only be that FIFA has to expand the football confederation to every other country, currently there are only 6.

I saw a lot of users on Twitter (X) fuming at FiFA for introducing another competition that the majority don't even know how how the qualification came about. Even if they were that desperate to introduce it, why include a European team ?. I hate to say this, but this is absolutely bullshit. Players keeps complaining about the too many games that they're forced to play. UEFA adjusted their playing fixtures in the UCL, turning it into a semi-league, just to have more games. FIFA added more teams to the world cup as well which automatically increases the number of games. Players this seasons has been representing both club and country back to back, and FIFA doesn't seem concerned at all about the too many games.

Well, ii just hope they don't spoil this football of a thing. I'm certainly not against this competition, but I'm against the fact that European teams are indirectly/directly involved.


Well, I expect PSG to win the competition though, but I won't be surprised if it eventually doesn't happen.
And as for the game today, Flamingo should be winning this with ease, though I don't have any idea of who their opponent is.

An excellent opportunity to make money. I strongly believe that Flamengo can win this match, especially after I saw Botafogo beating PSG. I think the best teams in Brazil are on the same level as the big European clubs. The problem here is more about mentality and sporting incentives. After all, playing against Ceará and Sport can discourage any player lol.
