Economic direction – Tinubu’s government has pushed a rapid overhaul: the fuel‑subsidy was scrapped, the naira was unified, and a broad tax‑simplification drive was launched  Buhari’s tenure, by contrast, kept the subsidy in place for most of his term, relied on multiple exchange‑rate windows and emphasized protectionist trade measures

Fiscal stance – Under Tinubu the budget deficit has been trimmed to about 3 % of GDP, with the savings from subsidy removal earmarked for infrastructure and social programmes  Buhari’s fiscal balance stayed wider, and revenue‑sharing allocations to states grew only modestly

Security & governance – Both presidents faced widespread insecurity, but Tinubu has promised a “whole‑of‑government” security reform and more funding for the military  Buhari’s 13‑year fight against Boko Haram and banditry saw mixed results, with violence spreading into the northwest and southeast during his last years

Institutional reforms – Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda stresses youth empowerment, digital‑skills programmes (the 3MTT initiative) and a push for a $1 trillion economy  Buhari’s focus was more on anti‑corruption drives and maintaining the status quo in key ministries

Public perception – Tinubu’s reforms have sparked sharp price hikes and protests, but supporters point to improved fuel availability and a more transparent forex market  Critics of Buhari highlight lingering fuel shortages, inflation and a perceived slow pace of economic diversification

In short, Tinubu’s regime is characterised by aggressive market‑oriented reforms and a fresh security blueprint, while Buhari’s era was marked by continuity of existing subsidies, multiple exchange‑rate regimes and a longer‑term security campaign. Both approaches have their supporters and detractors, reflecting the complex trade‑offs Nigeria faces. 🌍

Both administrations are bad, there is no point seeking if any is better. A better question would be, if at all is which of them is worse

The both of them are very terrible so to speak but the only difference is that the formal administration which was that of Buhari was some how humanly friendly compared to the current ones in the sense that things wasn't that obviously bad just as it is today, but Tinubu made us understood that we didn't vote for him that he was there on his own accord therefore his not accountable to anyone.

Tinubu regime was so bad to an extent that since he resumed office all that his more concerned of is on how to borrow money, collecting more of our nation resources all to his self and nothing to offer in return. Insecurity has become the order of the day in his own country that he is leading and he's busy interceding for other country leaving his in shambles. What a world, however it has now become very obvious that even as bad as the formal administration was Tinubu regime gave us the reason to miss Buhari regime because at least the rate of insecurity wasn't as bad as this.

None is better between Buhari's and Tinubu's regimes. The only difference is that one may be better in some categories and the other in another categories. However, if they are to be be concluded, the two are equally, or almost equally bad.

Although Buhari started the biting problems in the country, Tinubu continues with even worse policies and approaches. He and his administration are clueless, and are only experimenting on Nigeria. Is it the economy, security and open corruption? This administration have them all, just as Buhari's administration has them.

The two regime is the worst regime Nigeria have ever experienced in the country, when Buhari came the price of things increase higher to cause little inflation in the country, but when Tinubu came the price of things double up include transportation and massive inflation that is collapsing many businesses in the country, with my little explanation I believe you will agree with me that Buhari regime is better than Tinubu regime in terms of security and low price of food items in the country, have you heard that federal government tax collectors will start taxing every Nigerian workers and busines men and women from January because they have approved the tax bill in the country.

To me every administration has his peculiarities both advantages and disadvantages, one administration can be good in a particular way while another will be good differently, the only thing i have observed is that human wants are insatiable so no matter the administration even if it’s Trump that is the Nigeria president we will still have one challenge or the other.

I feel that peoples grace differs one administration can favour a particular person whereas another administration will favor another, take for example Buhari administration favoured Rotimi Amaechi whereas Tinubu administration is favoring Nwesom Wike more, what this means is that its relative, what will favour one person might not favour another, Tinubu government is terrible but trust me there are lots of Nigerians that is benefiting from it, they got new job’s, cars and some even built new houses under this same bad government, me for example i had lots of contracts under Buhari second tenure so i will say that his administration favoured me more but let’s not look at it from individual perspective but let’s look at it collectively as a nation, let our leaders create a system just like advance countries are doing like America, a system whereby economic growth, security and development is not based on a particular government or leader because they already have rules and standards that each government must abide by, that’s how most advance countries operate.

What do you intend to gain In such question when we know both are of the parents. Since burhari  and his partners in crime which are tinubu and co took over power, Nigeria have been so disorganized in all area ranging from security down to the economic sector, before they took over power Nigeria was a perfect place to live but now its a dead trap when we talk about security, a hungry zone when we talk about economy so I can't differentiate both because they are of the same futures which we all know is an inhabitable place for the poor masses

Omo I no fit compare buhari with tinubu rigime o, I know say di two of dem get fault but Buhari regime dey far far better than dis tinubu regime. Na for Buhari rigime em close di border for long time and na em time we face cashless policy which makes us suffer for more inflation and insecurity.

Buhari get good heart to help dis country but na people beside am wey get corrupt mind affect am. tinubu no get any direction and e no get any future plan to make Naija as better place, na di two years wey tinubu don do wey we dey see shege like dis, imagine how e go be from now to 2027 and he dey plan to contest again, di worst part be say ppl go still vote am again.

Buhari na one of the worse government, from there na in things begin go worse, him rule for 8 years and within that period things begin spoil, after Tinubu take over, come be like we move from frying pan to fire, nothing wey make sense to choose.

I come dey reason about how we go take survive for another 4 years under Tinubu regime, after then him go still put own person to take over, the fire wey we done enter soon go escalate to wetin we no fit imagine, infact Tinubu na the worse and if we no act fast, things go only go in the wrong direction.

Going through the history of Nigeria and having taken a look at Nigerias trajectory over the years you will find out or come to the conclusion that Nigeria as an entity keeps on going from bad to worse after each government. Going through the long list of different leaders both from the military down to civilian, there isn't much difference between them after independence.

We all in the country started experiencing more intense hardship after the 2015 general election of which GEJ lost to GMB which was later changed to PMB after he won the presidential election. Buhari's regime was so hard that people who felt GEJ was hard and protested back then couldn't even muster the energy to protest anymore when it was Buhari. I could remember under GEJ rice which was a common food was sold for 7 thousand naira a bag at most but just few months after GEJ left office, it went up to 25 thousand naira, fuel that was at 95 naira went up 200 - 300 naira plus. Dollar from 150 naira climbed to 400 plus and everything skyrocketed. Before Buhari finally left, Dollar was around 700 - 800 naira per dollar, rice was around 60 - 70 thousand naira , fuel I can't remember. The hardship was much.

Now we are in Tinubu regime, AKA T-Pain government, we all know how it is and the prices of good in the market. Fuel sells for above 1000 naira per liter, rice was sold for 100k plus but now it has actually come down a bit sha. Transportation is another area where they are milking Nigerians dry.

For all of us who saw from the government of GEJ till today, are we going to say is Nigeria moving forward or backwards?

No just go there. The Tinubu regime's worst past. Buhari even talk am sae, we go miss am the moment em leave office. That's the way it has been since then. You can imagine, Nigerians missing bad government of Buhari. Na to tell you sae the level of bad governance of Tinubu, how em worst pass the one of Buhari.

For Nigeria presidency, em don turn out sae, the present one go be worst pass the previous ones. Na only Yaradua wey Nigerians go fit come out openly talk sae, we had a good president but the death no gree am rule us for long. The others wey rule us, na from moving from frying pan to fire directly.

Both Tinubu regime and late Muhammadu Buhari regime na APC government, their pattern just different but till date I still nervr truly experience any better thing or outstanding something wey this apc government don bring come Nigeria with all their protests those years against Goodluck and PDP government, seriously I think say them go just come revamp Nigeria like this or at least set some strong standards wey go make plenty Nigerians revive their hope back to their country especially during Buhari time but in the end what we experienced was different from what they promised us. A case of what you ordered versus what you later got.

By comparison none of the regimes are better things keeps getting worse as each government comes into power, as at when Tinubu was contesting he made so many promises and people said he is the Messiah and that he made Lagos state working the way it is today but that's not what we have seen so far. When Buhari was in power atleast the prices of goods and services were a bit lesser but today during Tinubu's tenure every prices has tripple and an average Nigerian can't afford food.

To be very honest Tinubu is the worst president Nigeria has produced, this Man doesn't care about the sufferings of the citizens, you will see a president travel when the country is on fire, bandits are kidnapping people and he will still travel out of the country, no show of remorse at all. We understand that every administration has its own peculiarities but even at that there should be policies that will lessen the suffering the masses are going through and by next year Tinubu has mandatory sign tax reform into law and every one with an account will be taxed, the administration keeps getting worse as the day goes by so none is better.
