Recently, a 21-year-old boy was killed in Ukraine for crypto assets. This boy was the son of a deputy mayor of Ukraine. While studying in Vienna, this boy may have accidentally mentioned to his classmates or suspects about the various crypto assets that his father's or his family had, or he shared the details without his knowledge. After knowing this information, the suspects started pressuring him in various ways for his crypto wallet password, even keeping him in a car and torturing him for hours and taking away the passwords of two crypto wallets from him.

As a result, the suspects took away about $200,000 worth of crypto assets or more from this boy. Therefore, we Nigerians should learn from these issues and be very careful because we should not reveal our family assets or the amount of our Bitcoin or crypto assets to untrustworthy people. I think these are the indications and repeated warnings that we must hide the wallet password or the amount of our crypto portfolio from everyone.

Very sad and regrettable, but it's not just about crypto asset, don't just disclose your financial worth to a stranger since you don't know who is who.

First thing first, if you are from a family that are rich and influncial, it means that you're to be careful while relating with outsiders because they are going to try anything within Thier power to hunt after you and attack you even if they feel you have the crypto or not. We are in a time where trust is very scarce. You trust people and the next thing is that you're being attacked and you become the victim in the process.

Apart from your family, no one should know that you're holding a particular amount of crypto in your wallet. Another thing is to leave a low profile life so they don't dig deep and by themselves find out what's the quantity of crypto you're holding which will still endanger you.

This type of stories is the reason I have limited my conversation to people regarding bitcoin. It has become too risky for people to even know you own cryptocurrency irrespective of the quantity because there is this mindset that anyone who owns cryptocurrency is rich. These set of people that talk about their earnings, savings, and their sensitive information and some personal information related to their wealth are always ending up being set up by someone they don’t know and they do rub them and take what they have from them, and all these is as a result of the information they do give out randomly to family friends and some in social media that get them into that problem.

In this our country when some people are being kidnaped without having anything, if you mistakenly share your success with some people, they will attack you, so it is better you keep your wealth to yourself for security reasons, it is not everyone that wants you to succeed in this life, so take it upon yourself to be your personal security.

This is indeed a very sad news i must say, but sometimes i don't blame the scammers or suspect because if he had kept his assets very secret without disclosing it this wouldn't have happened. This is a sad way to die when yu re burn alive by friends you trust. The victim will be regretting,praying and hoping for a savior that will rescue him from his killers,in the end he is brutally murdered. What a lesson to learn from this sad story. Human wicked sha, why not take all the crypto and spare his live. Already we've known the world to be a wicked place, it is either we protect and set precaustive boundaries or we become the next victim. If only the boy haven't disclosed his/family investment, such tragedy wouldn't happen.

From the story line, this whole incident was planned and executed by someone close to him, maybe someone who he trusted to have kept the story. Sometimes i also think about the freedom that comes with cryptocurrency about limitless transactions because if it was to be bank that has a limit to which is withdrawable, it wouldn't have been possible to get away with such a huge amount of money. But why will the suspects take the money and still kill and burnt him inside his car, that is so inhumane of them and for the fact they killed him actually mean that it was people who know him and has details about him that executed that atrocious act.
